    Hola .. :)

Weeeel .. I'm thinking it's time to hang up the hat and pass the torch .. :) .. or, maybe I should get a dog sidekick .. ;)

Kudos to you Cathy .. anyone else out there got the stones to put yourself on the line .. ??

Broke out the knee pads and the foam .... pad yesterday and scooted my way, on the ground, around my planting beds .. I curse the day I went stupid with these things .. the only way to get the Winter debris out is manually or risk blowing out the mulch that's left .. prepping for new, fresh mulch ..

I'm in pretty bad shape today, and the two Aleve's did not seem to do squat .. :( .. when the muscles you just have not used in a while get used, you pay the price .. or, at least I do ..
Get a roll around garden cart thing. Best investment ever. I just scoot around the beds. Mine is similar to this one but has a cord to pull it, if desired.

Good morning @Uncle! I’ve been up since 6am too. @clnire the end bow is my favorite part!

Here is a great site to park your TV for background viewing. (You need a smart TV with Youtube for this or you can stream from a PC. Just type african tau or african watering hole in the search.)
It's at the Tau Game Lodge in Madikwe Game Reserve in northern South Africa and it's such a success story for wildlife. For a long time several thousand acres in these parts were being farmed unsuccessfully because the soil is poor. Of course that meant people starved and wildlife lost their habitat. Their website describes it best: “Madikwe, a South African private game reserve created in 1991 from 75,000 ha of farmland, which had been extensively degraded by overgrazing, was chosen as the site of Operation Phoenix. The government-sponsored, biggest-ever game-relocation programme in Africa involved re-stocking and conserving flora and wildlife, which had long since disappeared from the region.

Ten thousand animals of 27 major species, including wild dog, cheetah, lion, white and black rhino, buffalo and elephant, have been re-introduced to the Madikwe Game Reserve over a six year period with animals coming from various reserves and breeding centres and game viewing is now at its prime.

Northwest Parks Board (formerly Bop Parks) has adhered to a strict policy of introducing only those species, which once occurred in the area). Madikwe is run as a three-way partnership between the State, the local communities and the private sector.”

The country figured out they could make more money and feed its people from the tourists who pay big bucks to vacation in these lodges. A win-win for wildlife and people!

BTW around 10am almost daily a herd of 50+ Elephants come to the watering hole and stays for over an hour. Right now they have the cutest tiny babies!

Two gals getting together in this time of social distancing. Kaitlin, our daughter, upper left ... Rachel, our DIL, upper right.

Kate said this when she posted it to FB "Social distance coffee date with one of my favorite peeps. It was 4 hours of a good time! it was cold, rainy, and we got a few looks from drivers passing by but it was worth every minute."

    Morning, loungers.

We've been returned to our regularly scheduled Spring, when it can be a downpour in the front yard and bone dry in back. Until 10 minutes later, when it could switch around.

Not heading off to the doc, but will try to remember this next time ;)

Good Morning all. Thanks, @Bea-FL, I usually have either NatGeo Wild or a similar program going in the background. When I was onboard the Wichita AOR-1, I was fortunate to be able to go on a safari in Kenya, Africa. It was an unforgettable adventure. The "local-watering hole" was packed with wildlife. I love wildlife programs that are available on TV.

Wouldn't you know it. I've been watching for 2 hours and no elephants! They knew I'd be watching for them.

Well - I know this dosen't answer "Our" immediate question about where @yiddleboge6 is and how she is doing . . . However, I just checked her profile page and saw her last activity she had on ECF was on Sunday:

Also - I read that on Friday 4 days ago that on April 24, 2012 she signed up as an ECF Member (wonder when her Vapeversery is ) . . . In addition her birthday is this coming May 6 too . . . Just Sayin' . . .

@janet I know, right? I’m disappointed too. First time in days… no elephants today. Don’t give up. They’ll be back. It’s so interesting to watch their interactions. In the meantime watch this:

This lodge was built in an elephant path to their favorite food…mangos. When they’re ripe the elephants walk right through the lobby to get them. I’m totally fascinated by elephants…in case you haven’t noticed…lol.
