My apologies for being absent for so long...

Depression isn't always about suicide notes and pills. Sometimes it's all smiles and fake laughter. Depression isn't always easy to notice.

Don't worry...I'm not about to do anything foolish... My one failed attempt when I was 19, left me feeling nothing is worth dying over and a determination to keep alive no matter what. With an ongoing RA flare up and all that's transpiring in the world, I'm just having a difficult time pulling myself back up and out of the funk...

Well...hells bells....pics won't show up!!! I did so want to show you my lovely pink t-shirt...which says Hippy Grandma...Soul of a Mermaid...picture of mermaid...the Fire of a Lioness...the Heart of a Hippy...the Mouth of a Sailor. So a propos for me...

I've found that, sometimes, when a pic doesn't "take", selecting "more options", delete the pic and paste it back in works. Sometimes.

@yiddleboge6, at least it wasn't directly related to Corona. I was worried.

Worried now that the riots in twin cities will contribute to a resurgence here. I voted by absentee ballot for the primary, and said that the absentee ballot would continue. Got a letter from city clerk asking if this was, in fact, due to a chronic condition. I called, gave my age, and she said that I qualify. There is a possibility that Wisconsin will go mail-in by the time of the presidential election. But I was afraid that if Trump would get his way, mail-in would be severely restricted. According to Five Thirty-Eight, even the 65+ crew is tending to be less Trumpian.

I have three packages coming. One from Zulily, one from Amazon, and one from SewingMachinesPlus. I still feel happier when I have packages in the mail.

LOL...I tried every work around I know for over an hour...just wouldn't let them show. They show until I hit ok or post and then nothing...

And it sometimes seems like it's just the board having a fit...

We in WA have been ONLY vote by mail for years. "Fraud" comes in at somewhere below 0.001%. And, actually, the county we're in went that way years before the rest of the State. Love it. No muss, no fuss, no standing in line.

PA offered mail-in ballots this year and I jumped on signing up for them Our primary is June 2,and they've already received mine. :)

I've always loved getting packages, but fear there's a thief in my neighborhood now. Package showing delivered Tuesday didn't show up. Wednesday evening a torn, empty Amazon package addressed to me appeared on the sidewalk in front of my new neighbors door. Amazon refunded my money, but now I have to fear losing my deliveries...

Hola .. :)

I am very much glad to see you back, Sandra .. on the thievery, my suggestion is to call the PD on the non-emergency number, get it on record, most departments want to know these things .. no matter the package value .. if you can get an Officer to come out and file a report, perhaps they might canvass the other tenants and the miscreant will at least know .. next, while the real thing can get a little pricey, if you can't afford it, get a fake security camera and put it where packages are generally left .. fake ones are generally cheap .. add to that a sign ::

It need not cost a ton of money to take these pro-active steps .. if it were me, I would also alert the Landlord that they have this issue going on .. lastly, I'm pretty sure UPS / FedEx will put an address on Signature Required for Delivery automatically if it happens more than once ..

It's a cryin' shame that, especially now, you're having to deal with this tomfoolery .. but, don't just take it on the chin, kid .. take what action you can ..

As an addendum, I would suggest sitting in a chair at the delivery area on or around expected time of delivery with a pump-action shotgun in your lap .. this, generally, if seen by the Person of Interest, will be a permanent deterrent against any and all future attempts at theft ..

Happy belated anniversary Willy.
@yiddleboge6 it is good to see you back.
Depression varies from individual to individual. I can put on a smile when around others but social distancing just leads to more isolation than normal for me. I like being among people but with all of my medical conditions, I'm afraid of being around other people that do not want to do something as simple as wearing a mask. Today, I am heading out to pick up some wood for another project and also get some new saw blades. I really should finish the projects I have on the bench instead of starting another. Oh well, I'll just add it to my "to do" list.

 I think I can squeeze out the money for a surveillance camera...not sure I could afford the shotgun...;)

I've been looking and once again my tech illiteracy comes into play... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0831R7DJ...olid=1RN7KN7Y4Q23Q&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it

What are they talking about with all of them requiring 2.4Ghz wifi and won't work with 5G? are they talking about my cell phone? I don't have 5G...just 4G...

The 5G wifi is usually included in most newer home network modems. 2.4G is the older band that cordless phones and garage door openers used. It isn't the same as the 5G mobile phone service.

My current modem has both 2.4 and 5G bands on the home wifi.

Thank you! I have a Comcast modem with built in dual bands of wifi. I've been all, over what info they have on their site, but nowhere could I find listed a mention of what the bands are. Guess I will have to call them...

It's possible you may be confused .. When you think about the term “dual-band”, it refers to being able to deliver data across two frequencies .. 2.4GHz and 5GHz .. the 2.4GHz band has been around since 2003, it's common ..
