Thanks .. no bending involved, each 2x4 cut using a template to rough shape, cut using band saw / clamp the whole she-bang together and then hand carve it using an angle grinder with a wood carving disk / carve in stars with chisel / unclamp / stain, paint, glue / clamp again / seal and do a couple poly clear coats ..

Mike and anyone else that knows tools will know what I'm talking about .. :)

Ah ha. I was just looking at the right side of the picture of the flag and it looked like 2 x 4s were bent into waves. Now that you've explained it I get it. I might even like it more now.

Good morning. It's 6:37 and pitch black outside. It's 58 now, only going up to 60 today and close to freezing temps tonight and tomorrow night. Yep, we're headed into winter.

No problems with the raccoon last night. I brought the bird feeder inside before going to bed. HA! Take that you sneaky critter! I'm hoping that if the feeder isn't there for a few weeks he'll give up and stop coming back.

Morning, all.

Balmy 54 atm, heading for 60 ;) Scattered showers in the cast, so I suspect cloud cover kept the temp up. Yeah, too dark to see.

And I've finally figured out how to foil the damm squirrels! ( It took me all summer!)
NVM, I saw your response about how you did it, however, a picture would help put it in my mind's eye.

Well, I can't take credit for the concept .. a contributor to the Ryobi tool DIY website had one he made and I just stole the idea and tweaked it some .. just some old 2x4's ..

RYOBI NATION - 3D Rustic Wooden Flag
Willy, anybody can make small pieces of wood out of big pieces. What you made is a lovely piece of art from a bunch of old pieces of 2x4s. You have piqued my interest with your creativity and I will put this on my list of pieces to try. I have the perfect place to put it, too. I can visualize it on my patio on the backside of the fireplace. Thanks for the inspiration.

Morning, all. A balmy 53, heading for 60 :) So we still have cloud cover, scattered showers still the 'cast. Only that one night, so far, that's come close to frost. But all the potted plants that need to come back in for the winter are in.

Did get the first of two debris piles burned off yesterday. The small one. Will need an early start for the big one, which has been growing since the burn bans came on in mid June. It would make a nice, big bonfire, but that's not allowed. Need to keep it within size limits, so it's a start and feed all day... Maybe tomorrow, since the Hawks are on their "bye" week ;)

Good morning, all. I am getting stuff together to head out to the farm today. I was supposed to go yesterday but just didn't get any rest the night before so canceled. Loads to do with Primitive Arms starts next weekend. I hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning everyone. Had our first frost of the year this morning. Glad I got the plants in a few days ago because of the frost, but also because my back started acting up yesterday and I'm not getting around too well to deal with them. Ugh! Time to get out the TENS.
