My area continues under a lockdown on indoor dining, among other things .. with outdoor temps moving more and more into the Winter Zone, it will likely be some slim times for the eatery industry ..
There are a few that are defying the order, mainly just the small one location operators .. chains / franchises seem to be maintaining compliance ..
The indoor free Thanksgiving meals have all turned into drive up, pick up / take out .. the Church that I normally volunteer at is doing it that way, so I signed up yesterday .. they asked "What capacity would you like .. ??" I said I really did not care .. I taught myself to cook up a mean turkey, so that's fine .. or making up the containers, or handing them out ..
I'd probably just as soon hand out the food ..
As I tend to do around these parts every year, I encourage all of you to seek out something in your area that needs some volunteer work .. especially this year .. yes, I know it's somewhat risky .. but, there is a lot of need out there ..
