..and I vary between both of them...:)

It's gloomy outside right now and the little snow that was here has disappeared.

My life is so boring that I've gone back to crocheting winter hats...idle hands are the devil's workshop...

Hope everyone has a good day!

Here's an idea for something you could do. When we had to have our beloved dog put down we brought her home to bury in our back yard. When we open the box we found she was wrapped in a handmade crocheted blanket. We were all so touched! Right now our grand-dog is 14. has some medical issues and recently had what we think was a stroke. So, I dug out my crochet hook and am working on a little blanket for her. I'd made a couple before and gave them to our local vets office. They were so pleased to get them. My little blankets will never win any prizes because I don't know much about what I'm doing, but it's the thought that counts.

Probably vestibular syndrome - it's an inner ear thing that looks like a stroke. Some dogs recover, some recover with lasting effects (like a head tilt and wobbly gait), some don't recover enough for quality of life. @Bea-FL can probably explain it better...

Good morning. Looks like it's going to be a cloudy, mild day today with some rain coming in for Thanksgiving. I hope the rain holds off so the kiddos will be able to spend some time outside tomorrow.

We're following our daily schedule pretty well so preparations are moving along nicely for Turkey day tomorrow. Still lots to do today, but slow and steady will "get 'r done".

Thanks Cathy. This sounds like what happened to Izzy. It broke my heart hearing Kate's frantic phone call as she sat there on the ground holding Izzy thinking she was going to die. Fortunately Izzy started to improve over the next few hours. She seems ok now, but has lost more weight and doesn't eat very much. So, they're keeping a close eye on her and pretty much just giving her a lot of love. We're looking forward to her coming for Thanksgiving dinner. She gets so excited to see us! What a sweetie she is.

Cathy you explained it fine. At our vet clinic we had some patients who completely recovered but most retained a head tilt. For what it’s worth these dogs don’t appear to be experiencing any discomfort.

@Janet H I'm sorry this is happening to your grandog.

Janet..I'm also not a great crocheter, but it IS the thought that counts! And, a GREAT idea...making blankets for vet's offices...thanks!

Meet Me in St Louie Louie
Hola .. :)

Rainy night .. a real downpour at times .. the drought we had from August to mid October I think is being made up for .. my lawn is actually starting to see some green ..

For my Church volunteer meal hand out help tomorrow, they apparently were way short on any folks that wanted to make deliveries to the shut in folks .. so, I stuck my foot in it and said OK .. I've delivered Meals on Wheels before, the bad part is, you end up running into so many that want to talk (they are generally shut ins after all) .. it begins to impede the delivery process, but, it's tough to break away, you feel like you're being rude ..

People get lonely, and when an opportunity to gab presents itself, they welcome it ..

Good morning, All. The ground has been too wet and muddy to go to the farm so we are not going out until Friday. This year we are having a deep-fried turkey, Syndee's manager will be deep-frying it for us. All we had to do was buy the peanut oil. The only person joining us will be my buddy, Steven.

This is a question for my friends who DIY their juice. Is there a calculator that you can enter the flavors you have and it will give you recipes to try?
If you go to the ELR recipe site and join, then add the flavors you have. Then you can click on “what can I make”

Hi Fran, I have joined the ELR but I must be blind, I can't see anything about adding flavors.
Never mind, I was on the wrong site.
