I thought I saw on the weather yesterday evening, some areas of Pennsylvania are supposed to get up to 2 feet of snow soon .. sounded like fake weather news to me ..

Alexa, how much snow are we getting today?
There's an 80% chance of snow starting at 1pm today with an accumulation of 5.57 inches,

Hey Siri, how much snow are we getting today?
Yes, we should get some snow.

Hi all

It's nippy here today, although not quite as nippy where most of you are living, to be sure.

Dropped the gift off at Church this morning, and I was so dang delighted because I could barely find room under that very large tree to deposit that lil girl's gift......just warmed my heart to see so many gifts that are going to make some sweet lil boy or girl very happy Christmas morning.

So, since I was busy this morning, and having lunch now, seems to me a nap is in order.

Hola .. :)

Don't even get me started on USPS .. I sent a custom guitar neck to a guy 400 miles away by Priority 2 weeks ago and it still has not showed up .. I mean, I understand the post-Black Friday surge and all, but geeze .. then, if it ends up lost and I file a claim, I'll have to jump thru 50 hoops and still keep my fingers crossed that they pay for it ..

Sometimes, I think that USPS should just be sold to FedEx or UPS ..

Then we'd just have some of the same problems under a different name. It's a big country. When our son was a baby I delivered phone books (remember them?) and I couldn't believe how many individual addresses there were just in our town! I wondered then how the post office was able to handle all of them when you multiply it across the country. We can't really complain here because we'll go a couple years without any glitches like this. When they do happen though it's REALLY frustrating. Why can't those glitches be reserved for junk mail?

Good morning...

STILL not a speck of snow!!!WHAT??!!:D

I've seen everything from "some" snow to 12" here. In the Poconos and western PA they'll get twice as much as we will. Problem is there's going to be sleet at the end of this and that will be overnight and early morning tomorrow. It's going to make for some treacherous driving. Some of our schools have already closed for tomorrow. It's snowing here pretty good right now. Since it was already so cold it seems every flake is staying put. Hopefully we won't get the 40 mph winds they were talking about. Right now it's very pretty because we're nice and warm and cozy. I've got chicken soup cooking on the stove and just made some Millionaire bars to add to the Christmas cookie stash.

Uh oh. Looks like you're probably going to have rain for Christmas Eve. Looks pretty much the same here with a little snow in the mix.

Good morning. We got 6" of snow last night and a lot of rain and sleet on top of that. Mike is still out snow blowing. I'm going out to make some juice and then make some Merangue cookies to add to the mix. Since daughter isn't going to make it here to help with the cookies I'm just going to make a batch or 2 each day followed by a nap.

Looks like our son-in-law is going to be flying over Christmas so our plans have changed-again. Daughter and the boys will come here Christmas eve and stay Thurs and Friday and go home Saturday afternoon. Not sure how we'll handle the gifts since their Dad won't be home until Saturday night. But they can have their Christmas on Sunday together. I'm sure this won't be the only Christmas that will be crazy given his flight schedule.

Good morning/afternoon all. Today, the sun is shining and temps will be in 50's so all of the snow we have gotten this week should melt. The only thing on my agenda today is a Dr. appointment. While I'm out I think I will go by Harbor Freight and see if I can find something looking for a new home.
I now crotchet winter hats while watching tv
Nancy joined a group of ladies that met at a local Panera Bread once a week. She called it her stitch & *something*. They made crocheted hats for premature newborns for the local hospitals. You might want to check and see if there is something along those lines at your local hospitals.

Next time it's dry, maybe lightly spray it with a silicone or maybe something like Pam? I've read of people doing that, and the claim is that most of the time the snow doesn't stick.
I've heard of people doing that and one problem with it is that using anything like that is also a dust magnet and brings on a whole like of other problems. My dish is located near the side door and I can use an extended round brush to brush the snow off. If we have freezing rain or fog I just duct tape a heat gun to an extended pole saw and melt the ice. I can do it from the ground, me and ladders don't go well together.
I hope everyone has a good day. Stay safe and well.

Ohhh! I was just thinking that we needed a pretty flower picture! Think I'll just leave the computer open to your post. It's just white here, which is pretty, but by tomorrow there will be lots of dirty snow. I don't like dirty snow. That was a nice thing about Denver. 8" can be gone by 3:00 in the afternoon. It was lovely.

Oh, there were 6 bluebirds at the feeder today!! A lot of our birds have disappeared, I suspect because of the pair of Cooper hawks hanging around. It was so nice to see them!

Good evening,

No snow to speak of here but that's fine with us. Taking naps in between baking and those naps are so deep and sweet. I'd expect to have a difficult time sleeping at night because of the naps, but thankfully, that isn't the case.

Will start wrapping gifts in a couple of days. They're all here and sitting in the back room ready to be wrapped with the exception of one very large gift that my man has already wrapped for daughter and sil.

Stay warm! :)

Good morning. 19 degrees when I put the bird feeder out this morning. The birds look like little puff balls.

Getting my hair cut today. Then I'll come home and make the meangue kisses. They're easy and can just do their thing in the oven while I nap and then figure out what to make for dinner.

Our daughter told us about a book a woman in her Mom's group was raving about. It's the Autobiography of Santa Claus by Jeff Guinn. I managed to get a copy delivered by Wallmart of all places. So I'm reading it so I can pass it to Kate when we see her at Christmas. I'm loving it! It's what I'd call a young adult book so kids and adults alike can enjoy it. It's not for little ones.
