The halo surrounding the moon was enormous, but the actual star also had a halo surrounding it. Pictures from all over Florida being posted on our boards.

Good afternoon! :)

Looking forward to sunset tonight to see the Great Conjunction......earlier it was cloudy here and now the skies are blue, so hoping it stays that way! This is supposedly something that hasn't happened in over 800 years......that's a mighty long time.

Rats. We're clouded over here and it's spritzing, but I'm enjoying some of the pictures posted everywhere. I'm so glad you were able to see it happen.

Got 2 different cookies made yesterday and today our daughter is coming to help make the dobas torte. We've been wanting to do this together for years. It's working out this year because Hubs has been away so much this month he's encouraging her to come here to get a break and spend a day without the kids glued to her legs.

88 days until Spring!

Temps have been fairly mild the last couple days, yet will take a nose dive soon ..

So, this morning I woke up feeling pretty chipper, all things considered .. had my coffee and my vape, got dressed, hauled some junk out to the curb for the weekly junk pick up crew, replaced the bulb in my pole light in the front yard, put a load of laundry in the warsher, hauled a couple large deck plants downstairs (had them in the garage, they seemed to be doing OK, but I don't think they can withstand the cold that's coming ..)

At the shop now getting out a few last minute repairs and sales ..

Been thinking of giving it to a local food bank, some have run out of food!

And who ever thought that being retired and on a fixed income was going to be better off....

That's what I've been grateful for! SSD and GM retirement.

I almost feel guilty...

But I've crotched a lot of hats for the homeless which I'm giving to the homeless shelter ...idle hands are the devil's workshop...so it's been keeping me occupied!

I hope everyone has as good a day as possible:wub:

Janet, sweetie...I'm sorry, but I'll have to skip your posts...

You wear me out just reading how active you are!

Ha, we have the same coffee maker. Really like it after years of mr. Coffee junk.

We make a pot of decaf in that one. Janet's not allowed any caffeine. Me, I need some to kick start me in the morning. These are mine on the other side of the kitchen.

    Same lyrics on both.......
    "A Hallelujah Christmas"
    (originally by Leonard Cohen)

I've heard about this baby boy
Who's come to earth to bring us joy
And I just want to sing this song to you
It goes like this, the fourth, the fifth
The minor fall, the major lift
With every breath I'm singing Hallelujah
    Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah

    A couple came to Bethlehem
Expecting child, they searched the inn
To find a place for You were coming soon
There was no room for them to stay
So in a manger filled with hay
God's only Son was born, oh Hallelujah
    Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah

The shepherds left their flocks by night
To see this baby wrapped in light
A host of angels led them all to You
It was just as the angels said
You'll find Him in a manger bed
    Immanuel and Savior, Hallelujah
    Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah

A star shown bright up in the east
To Bethlehem, the Wise Men three
Came many miles and journeyed long for You
And to the place at which You were
Their frankincense and gold and myrrh
They gave to You and cried out Hallelujah
    Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah

I know You came to rescue me
This baby boy would grow to be
A man and one day die for me and you
My sins would drive the nails in You
That rugged cross was my cross, too
Still every breath You drew was Hallelujah
    Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah
    Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah
