Hi all, I hope everyone had a good day. I was supposed to go to the farm again today, however, my body did not want to cooperate for the last couple of days. Yesterday, I didn't even get out of my PJs. At least today, I get dressed, twice actually. I got up and put on my camo gear then after getting all but the rifles loaded and returned and put on my Levi's. Back spasms hit and I knew they wouldn't be improving. I instead worked on my traps getting them ready for placement tomorrow.
As far as my plans for the upcoming stipend check, I will probably be getting a few more traps and gear for making snares. Steven is picking up a couple of deer hides for me and I am planning on learning how to tan them. Like others have said, idle hands and all of that.
I'm taking my predator call tomorrow along with my .17 HMR. While we were in the blind the other evening, we watched a Bobcat walking the creekbank. Steven is traping for the Bobcats and Coyotes and I will be going for the Raccoons. The coons went through my blind the other day. They didn't tear anything up just had muddy paw prints throughout the inside. Good pelts go for $25 - $50 for the critters.
Anyway, I'm rambling so best get ready for the night. Stay well and safe. Oh, someone asked where the feeder was. It had been moved to the other property so I had spread acorns in the open field. The acorns were from the tree in my side yard. I have about 40 more pounds to spread out tomorrow.

Same lyrics on both.......
"A Hallelujah Christmas"
(originally by Leonard Cohen)

I've heard about this baby boy
Who's come to earth to bring us joy
And I just want to sing this song to you
It goes like this, the fourth, the fifth
The minor fall, the major lift
With every breath I'm singing Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah

A couple came to Bethlehem
Expecting child, they searched the inn
To find a place for You were coming soon
There was no room for them to stay
So in a manger filled with hay
God's only Son was born, oh Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah

The shepherds left their flocks by night
To see this baby wrapped in light
A host of angels led them all to You
It was just as the angels said
You'll find Him in a manger bed
Immanuel and Savior, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah

A star shown bright up in the east
To Bethlehem, the Wise Men three
Came many miles and journeyed long for You
And to the place at which You were
Their frankincense and gold and myrrh
They gave to You and cried out Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah

I know You came to rescue me
This baby boy would grow to be
A man and one day die for me and you
My sins would drive the nails in You
That rugged cross was my cross, too
Still every breath You drew was Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Will any of that cake last until Thursday/Friday . . . Just Asking . . .

.

Thank you. You saved me the trouble of looking it up!

Good morning. For some reason I woke up at 3:30 this morning thinking it was time to get up. I laid there thinking about what I wanted to get done today - big mistake - should have looked at the clock first! Rats. Couldn't get back to sleep. Definitely going to need that nap today!

We actually made 1 1/2 cakes so we'll eat the 1/2 cake on Christmas Eve or day since our daughter and her 2 boys will be here. We'll have nice dinner and the boys will get 1 gift. Then she'll be celebrating Christmas at her house on the 28th when Hubs gets home. Then we'll all get together here on Jan 2 to celebrate Christmas and also Brody's birthday which is 12/29. We'll have a ham dinner and bring out the whole cake then. It's a mess this year and it's taken awhile to get it straight. Now aren't you sorry you asked?

Janet's was spotted in the background of the 1st set of 'cake' pictures I posted. It a 10 cup Cuisinart.

Mine's a 12 cup and a nice "Blue" one that was "NEW" (maybe slighty used) that I picked up at a second hand store when my original one I got 15 years ago finally died . . . :D

We had a 12 'cupper' when we both drank caffeinated coffee. But when that one died it was replace with a 10 'cupper'.

My little cuisinart is 4 cups. But they must be tiny cups. I make 1 12 oz mug with it in the morning and the pot is 3/4 full.

Hello all, another uneventful day in the deer stand. When I arrived at the farm I discovered I had forgotten my shoulder bag. In it, I had a spare mod and tank along with ejuice and batteries. At least I had a fresh battery and I'd topped off the tank before I left the house. I did find a partial bottle of unflavored juice in my jeep. When I headed home I was glad that the Solo is a pass-thru device so I put in the USB charger and vaped it on the way home. I will be putting a bottle of juice in my center console tomorrow. Well, before I head out to the farm again.
