Thanks - Actually, wish I could . . . BUT, Honestly, yesterday was so disgusting, detestable, loathsome and abhorrent - and all caused by one person - I am still having an extremely very uneasy start of a day that I don't see getting any better right now . . . To top it all off - there were a minimum of another 361K people murdered - which could have been avoided . . . Just Sayin' . . .

Awoke to SUNSHINE!!! I feel like going out n playing in the snow!....Oh wait...there's only enough to make a snowball or two..

On a darker side..

all my grandaughters Grandpa...who is also a good friend of mine, along with his wife, has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and is in the hospital.

It's a shock because he's always been so strong n healthy and taken excellent care of himself.

That's always been true .. however, rushing the Nations Capitol Building while Legislators are in session and brandishing AK's is setting the bar about as high as it can get ..

Yes, I completely agree with you ... something I never, ever thought I would see in this country. Something like that happens in other countries NOT here. Yet it did. Armed entry into state capitols has happened a number of times in the recent past, the precedent had been set. Just happened on a much larger scale yesterday.

But it doesn't completely surprise me. For years the tension has been building and each side was a ticking time bomb, ready to go off. It went off yesterday. This country is so divided I don't know if it will ever come 'back together again'. Most folks I know in cyber land and real life can no longer talk rationally about what is going on around us. Just seems each side thinks the other side is pure evil and there's no talking to pure evil, it just has to be wiped out at any cost.

One nation under God is not who we are any longer. I fear we are at a tipping point and the battle has begun to see who garners the power to take this country into the future. I hope and pray in a better direction based on our constitution, bill or rights, and the fundamental principles of the past that has made this the best country in the world (but perhaps not at the moment any longer).

I've not lost Hope, there are Patriots on each side that are, Patriots .. they tend to get buried in the "noise" .. they are not splashy people that want a quick headline grab ..

They are the bulk of Us .. and it's They that speak for the Country .. as proven last November .. and, it was proven again yesterday ..

You're more optimistic than me UW ...

I just see two political parties that are out for themselves. Their prime objectives when not 'in power/office' to make the other party look bad and not let the party in office accomplish anything good. Thereby upping their chances of getting into office at the next election. Be damned the people they represent unless it helps them get re-elected.

I haven't seen any meaningful bipartisan cooperation in the legislature or senate to move the country forward in years. Virtually every vote in each house is strictly by party line. Really rare to see a bill pass with a real mix of dems and repubs voting 'yeah'.
