I'm pretty sure I've recounted this in the past, but anyway...the very first rock concert I ever went to featured Fats Domino, Lavern Baker, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, The Platters, and others. It was before there were mega concerts and was billed as a 'Rock and Roll Show'...held in a theater in downtown Seattle...at a time when movie theaters had actual stages and deep red velvet curtains that hid the screen when there was live entertainment... A local DJ was the MC and I remember being shocked that the wonderful voice I listened to every evening was coming from a short, chubby, bald, aging man...not what my imagination had conjured at all...

Not a big fan of Schumann…his music always seems a bit somber…but love Mozart…here is a little night music although it's now morning;)

I'm a big Khatia Buniatishvili fan. The sound could be turned off AFAIC.

Lookey what I found on my porch this morning. A whole lotta nachtmusik.
Wifey saved $50 because it came from .de instead of .com (early Xmas hohoho)
I already have more than half of it by Marriner, Arrau, Geza Anda, Hagen Quartett, etc but this got very good reviews and fills some substantial holes in the M section.
I just played CD1 and it sounds better than I expected :thumb:.
CD2 is now playing. Now to try out all 170CDs to make sure they all work.
Put on another pot of coffee, and another, and another...

Me too. The one I went to in Miami Beach included Conway Twiddy. He sneered right at me. I felt so special.

It was called The Shine of Stars and two labels from Shine got an almost free admission. Shine was something you were supposed to spray on your shoes to make them all shiny, and between Miami and Miami Beach, I bet you couldn't have found 5 cans of Shine that still had their labels.

Well, last night, I had to finally retire the Summer Wardrobe .. now, I'm back in Levis (I still have American Made 501's .. :)) .. a pocket t-shirt and a heavy duty work outer shirt, which I wear unbuttoned mostly .. the weight I've lost caused some belt tightening, and the ancient belt I wear had a nice indent where the buckle used to rest .. now, it's in an extra two notches .. :) .. problem is, the jeans are a bit lose .. Mr / Ms Google tell me that if I wash my jeans in the hottest water possible and then dry on a high heat setting, I should get some shrinkage .. we'll see ..

Temps are headed toward what looks like a pretty normal Winter here in Fly Over Country .. at least, according to the 30 day outlook .. so much for the Weather Prognosticators predicting a warmer than normal Winter .. o_O

As it's nearing the end of October, I still have not decided whether or not to do my Annual Winery Tour .. I can still hit the end of Octoberfest Time if I go this weekend .. the problem there is, the temps went from pretty warm to fairly chilly, and it happened PDQ .. I'll see if the draw of some good German food and some excellent wine tasting can drag me out on the road .. I've been doing it for 10 years or more, so it's a Tradition .. :) .. while it was still fairly warm, I just could not get in the mood ..

Unfortunately, my collection of classical music is all on cassettes.....and no tape deck to play them on anymore...:(
There are a ton of free classical concerts available for free with Amazon Prime.
Mozart In The Jungle too.
Please let me know if y'all can see this video or not.
I think I remember YT giving me trouble when I upped it.
I recognized Rush's YYZ played on a waterglass on MITJ.
