I love fried spam. When I was in high school, we were getting what was called commodities. They included canned meat that came in a big can like coffee comes in. That was like spam and I loved cutting off a large slice and fry it up with some of the cheese that we also got. You couldn't get a better lunch.

Hola .. :)

I can't even remember the last time I had spam .. need to put that on the list ..

Temps are still pretty mild, with colder nights .. I've been wanting to drag the deck plants out for a couple weeks now, but the extended forecast still has a night or two in the 30's .. that and power washing the deck first in prep for some stain .. I don't care what the can says, you're lucky to get 3 years out of even the best stain ..

Some Spam and Velveeta cheese has been added to my shopping list. Before I do anymore shopping I need to get a new belt for the brush mower. It is no longer a project it has become a challenge. The belt I had bought is still just a tad bit to long. When I got back from the farm today, I finally got the motor bolted to the frame.

I wound up having to go to the farm and trim the limbs from around the trail cam I put up to be able to see who is driving onto the property. Doug thinks someone is coming on the property who shouldn't be. I put up the camera up on Saturday and by Tuesday I had 800 pictures in my account. The winds were blowing the limbs which triggered the camera. It is a good thing I have the unlimited package set up. As of tonight I have had zero unwanted photos.

I had a neighbor with me so after I cleared out the limbs I gave her the grand tour. While we were driving around I got a call from Doug asking me to check my camera at the gate because he saw a blue SUV in the bee field. He laughed when I told him it was me. I didn't know he had one there.

The day turned out to be a good day and I came home and did what I could on the mower but had to stop because storms were coming in with rain, strong winds and lightning. Well, this was longer than I planned. Good night all.

Good morning. Got some sun and clouds this morning, only going up to 50.

Yesterday Mike and I got our 2nd Pfizer shots. This time we both have sore arms, but we're not feeling sick at all. Our son and DIL both got the J&J shot the other day and our daughter is scheduled to get the J&J on Thurs (if they don't cancel).

Around here we're warned that we could get freezing temps at night up to May 20. My plants are usually out on the deck long before that, but I keep a close eye on the forecast in case I need to bring them in or at least cover them. Funny, I love bringing the plants inside in the Fall, but by Spring I can't wait to get them outside again. My big Plectranthus has now spent 2 winters inside, but it's such a mess dropping leaves and flowers daily. I found out last year that cuttings root so easily I'm only carrying 1 small plant over next year.

Hi All,

I know I said that I would be back right after Lent was over, but ya know that ole saying about breaking or making new habits! Well, that's exactly what has happened......got a lot done in other areas of my life and actually, after awhile, these old routines wore away and new ones were established. But, I just had to come back and say 'yo' to all of you!

It would be futile to try and catch up, so hopefully, you are all doing well and staying safe........hubby and I are doing well and very grateful for that.

Hope to see you all again soon.

So good to hear you're both doing well. I was thinking about you this morning while standing on the deck and thinking about the flower beds and how your plantings were doing this Spring. It's my favorite time of year.

I do.........We have a winter storm warning............

If we have a Spring snow around here it's usually a doozy, but doesn't last too long. My problem is the Spring snow is not nearly as exciting as the first one of winter. I heard the forecast was for snow up in your neck of the woods. My friend in Mass. loves the snow so I'm sure she's all excited.

Good morning. It's a foggy 52 here. The next few days don't look much better. At least it's not snow and the redbuds are in bloom and everything is greening up. Pretty soon I'll be complaining that it's too hot!

On Tues. Mike and I got our 2nd Pfizer shots. Except for a slightly sore arm all was well until about 3:30 on Wed. I had a low grade fever, mild nausea and just didn't feel well. Tylenol helped somewhat, but just felt "off". No fever this morning, just low energy. Hopefully this will wear off as the day goes on.

Good gloomy rainy morning ( at least here in Mi.) But I don't mind...my garden flowers are greening up very well.
This is close to what it looks like outside my windows.

I saw one of those at Staples. It looks just as dumb in person as in the photo.

How 'bout this: our Village Inn has a dish of Q-tips at the cash register. Great! I thought. Now, everyone can leave with clean ears. But no, you were supposed to use them on the keypad for card transactions. It's a stretch, but makes more sense than I can make out of that door opener.
