Good afternoon/evening all.

I am finished with taxes. Yes, I'm one of those that always wait until the last day to file them. Now instead of waiting in line at the post office I just efile on the last day they are due. I must say that I really like the ease of Turbo Tax. I buy it every year at Sam's.

I bought a 10 piece set of these last year and handed them out to friends. I still have a couple of them left, want me to send ya one?

Yesterday, an old friend, Rusty Young, passed from a heart attack .. he probably could have been saved, but he lived in the middle of No-Where Land, Missouri, no good Hospital nearby .. he's probably not going to make the National News, in fact, most would not know of him ..

I was a Poco fan from the get go .. 1968 or so .. Richie Furay / Jim Messina and Rusty Young .. I had the pleasure to work with him some over the years along with Messina .. he was really a great guy and a hell-of-a Musician .. Poco bridged the gap from Rock and Country to Country Rock, along with Clarence White .. it was a heady time, those long ago days ..

I suppose I consider myself to be lucky that I lived through that era .. nothing will ever match those times .. a Memory that is both Happy and Sad at the same time .. if you can understand that ..

You may remember Rusty with this :: RIP, man .. I spun this up and listened to it several times ..

Good morning. It's a beautiful morning with sun and blue skies, but the weather forecast is for rain starting around 10 a.m. It's goin to be chilly too with a high of 54. Not nice, but at least we're not having snow like they will north of us.

We have a memorial service to go to today. Leo succumbed to Covid months ago, but he also had diabetes and other medical problems. His whole family had Covid, but he was the only one who died from it. The one good thing that will come of this is that we'll get to see our friends for the first time in a year.

Morning, misfits.

Clear and sunny here, heading into the 70s for a couple days or so. Likely more record highs before the maybe rain Monday night.

Good morning, all. It is a rainy cool day and no relief for the next couple of days.

I finally managed to get the brush mower put together. I installed the regular edger blade and edged the sidewalks. I ran it at half throttle and it splattered me with tiny shreds of mud. It is maybe a bit overpowered at 6.5 hp vice 3 hp that was originally on the mower deck. I bought an angle grinder and used it to trim down one side of the deck to allow room for the new motor. I had never owned an angle grinder and had fun cutting down the deck. The only hard part was getting the proper size of V-belt. I'm looking forward to taking it to the farm and helping to clear out some of the small trees.

Not if I'm expected to chip in on postage.

No problem, I wouldn't think of having you chipping in on the postage. Just come on over and I'll give ya one.

I hope everyone has a good day. Stay safe and well.

Good morning. Looks like it's only going to 55 here today, but we'll be getting some sunshine with little chance of rain.

We may be buying a new car today. Although I love my CRV it is 9 years old and is starting to have some engine problems. Nothing drastic, but we gotta expect to be making repairs soon when a vehicle gets up in years. Kinda like us.

Good afternoon everyone. :)

Its raining. My yard and street are flooded and have been for days. I have a septic system so we can't flush the toilet when the yard is flooded. We've had enough breaks in the rain to keep the toilet flushed thank goodness. I'm tired of being an adult and dealing with issues like this. I want to be an ignorant kid again.

Hola ..

Oh, to be Young, Stupid and Carefree again ..

Well, maybe not the Stupid part .. Stupid has a whole other definition now than it did back in the day .. o_O

Carefree would be very nice though .. we spend a Lifetime working for what we think we want, only to eventually discover those 'things' are nothing but a weight ..

And, when I was Young, I was Stupid ..

People I know deride those that they deem as lazy, living off the system, taking advantage of whatever might be available on the House .. me, I harbor a degree of envy toward those folks ..

I dread the day my 10 year old truck has to be replaced .. not just because I love my truck, but have you seen what new vehicles are going for these days .. ?? Well, I guess you have, since you're in the market ..

I'd be happy to have problems. Mine don't die. I have an 09,04,and an 02. Looking at electric ones lately.

Will be testing bone induction headphones this week...

About a week ago, I fell down, hard and face first .. I did manage to break my fall some with my forearm on my right side and my elbow on my left .. It was at the workshop, concrete floor, I was alone and it was caused by an undone shoelace, of all things ..

I suppose I was lucky it was not worse .. my forearm sustained some scrapes, one pretty good bleeder that I did not even notice till I saw blood had dripped down on my hand ..

I'm guessing my bones must be in pretty good shape, since I did not break anything .. still, it was unnerving ..

Good morning. It's a bit chilly outside at 45 and it's cloudy, but at least it's not raining. I'm tired of the rain. Yeah, I know, April showers and all that, but our rain started in March so I'm ready for some sun to balance it out.

Oh wow, yes, you're lucky you didn't break something. Are you in the shop alone?
