About a week ago, I fell down, hard and face first .. I did manage to break my fall some with my forearm on my right side and my elbow on my left .. It was at the workshop, concrete floor, I was alone and it was caused by an undone shoelace, of all things ..

I suppose I was lucky it was not worse .. my forearm sustained some scrapes, one pretty good bleeder that I did not even notice till I saw blood had dripped down on my hand ..

I'm guessing my bones must be in pretty good shape, since I did not break anything .. still, it was unnerving ..

A couple month's ago I tripped on the curb stepping from the street up to the sidewalk. I took about 4 or 5 steps across the sidewalk completely off balance until I face planted on the ground. My left hand broke the fall. But my thumb was folding into my hand when I hit the ground and sprained it pretty good. After all this time, I can still feel it's not healed as every once in a while I can feel a burn when a grip something or move my thumb a certain way.

I can't blame a loose shoelace, just a clumsy old man tripping.

Good morning peeps!
Awoke to awesome sunshine! I hope spring has sprung! Three days in a row now!
I visited a friend yesterday, admired her living room, then when I got home i rearranged mine sort of like hers..it seems more spacious now.

( I slept for app. 10 hours) I thought I'd wake up aching all over, but I didn't:banana::banana:

Hope everyone has a great day!

Morning all.

Another summer day, broke high temp records all over the place yesterday, said to be just below that for today. No rain in the 'cast until, maybe, next weekend.

I wear high top, lace up boots at the workshop .. for the ankle support and foot protection, dropping a good size piece of wood on your foot is no fun, either ..

Well, then, just see if these are available in steel toe?

Yep, PPE is important!

Good morning/afternoon all. Sunny outside with an expected high of 64° today and 76° tomorrow. I hope everyone is having nice spring weather.

I haven't been able to do any work on my latest Lego set, kittens and Legos don't go together, so yesterday I cleared out some room in the garage and set up a small table. Now I can stretch out and work on the Saturn 5 rocket. I saw yesterday that Lego is coming out with the NASA Space Shuttle Discovery. I have added it to my want list.

Nothing much else is going on here. I will be going out later and put down some weed & feed on the lawn. I also need to see about having some sod delivered and put down in an area that just won't grow any grass from seed. That is on the list of things to do.

I hope everyone has a day of rest and relaxation. Stay safe and well.

Good morning to whoever shows up!

Wow...no posts since yesterday morn...I'm beginning to wonder if ECF is going the way of the dinosaurs...:(

But I also must say that I'm grateful for finding this forum and meeting and making so many friends of like-minded people...and I will always cherish the get together we had in Fl.!

And the HO'S! I seem to have stumbled into the right places at the right time!

Huh. Maybe 'cause we're the dinosaurs??

Still warmer than normal, although heading back towards normal. In a few days. Maybe. At least we're past any snow!

Good morning! :)

Going on 4 days now of intermittent heavy rain and rays of sunshine.....have had errands to run each of those days and remained dry except for one time, but my raincoat did its job nicely......

Some work/play to be done in the garden and so it starts.......loving it!

Hoping you are all staying well! :)

Hola .. :)

I don't think ECF will ever again reach the heights of activity we saw during the Vaping Heyday .. I suppose there are any number of reasons for that ..

The thing that sticks out to me more than anything, are those that chose to leave (which is there own choice, I understand that) .. yet never, ever said good-bye .. just poof, and they were gone, not to return ..

No closure, no finality, no nothin' .. these were our friends, or so I thought ..

Maybe that's just part of the nebulous nature of the Online Community ..

I agree Willie ,cuz then I wonder/worry about them..and it was a heyday for me when I stumbled onto this site! I learned so much about vaping which I never would have otherwise!
And made some friends because of this forum.
I will always treasure this forum and the time I spent with so many of you in Florida...had actual face-to-face time and the meals that were cooked! Umm...except for my pitiful attempt:rolleyes:

RIP Jim Steinman .. while he may be best known for the hit songs he wrote for Meat (Marvin Lee Aday) Loaf, Steinman wrote a barrel of other tunes you've all heard .. the man could tell a story in a song, period .. which is a rare gift indeed .. and his lyrics were just incredibly good .. "Paradise by the Dashboard Light" ..

One of my personal favorites ::
