He has been having prostrate problems and the best solution in to neuter him. Yes, there is a drug he could be on to help, but I can't justify keeping him on a drug to just keep him intact.

Hola .. :(

That's a sad story, Cathy .. following your Journey, I feel like I know that dog .. and, I remember that video you two made ..

Heck, send that warm weather my way. I woke to 36 degrees yesterday morning. I was tempted to go back to bed and not get up 'till spring actually showed up.

Morning, all.

First summer is done, back to, I think, spring, for the next week. Yeah, going to water the dandelions for me...

Temps are back to "normal" for this time of year, so low 60s on the agenda.

Hola .. :)

From the "Call me a nerd, just call me for dinner" file ..

The NASA Mars Perseverance Rover has provided, what I believe to be, the first actual sounds from another Planet ..

Take a moment and explore the NASA site set up for the Rover and not only see, but hear, for the first time .. The Winds of Mars ..

Who would have dreamed ..

Sounds of Mars - NASA Mars

Good morning. Today we're going to watch our 4 year old play T-ball. They've got their matching baseball caps and T-shirts that practically come to their knees and, of course, the "special" sneakers. Missed his first game last Saturday, but to hear my daughter tell it, it was a riot. The kids have no idea what they're supposed to do and it's all fine. Run to 3rd instead of 1st, that's ok, throw the ball to a friend instead of tagging an out no problem, looking at bugs in the grass instead of chasing a ball, it's all good.

Hi all!

Just got back from the bank to re-activate our league business for summer bowling. We were standing outside waiting for the Treasurer and the wind was c o l d........60s here in Fl with a chilly wind was not comfortable.

Nice hot cup of java waiting for me!

37 here this morning, but going up to 66. It wasn't that long ago that 45 degrees felt warm and now I feel chilled at 60.

I agree. Clean out a closet and a couple months later still more can be gotten rid of. We just hang onto too much stuff. It's liberating though to clean stuff out. There's so much less to keep track of or move out of the way. At my age I think more about our children having to get rid of it all when I'm gone. They've got enough of their own stuff squirreled away. We've been clearing out our basement. It's amazing how big it is when all the stuff is gone!

Rain in the PNW, finally!

No kidding! So many years in the same house, it seems to keep building up. Although for us, about 1/3 of it is books. Talk about something hard to let go of!!

Hola .. :)

Yeah, I do have to pat myself on the back when it comes to books .. while I do maintain a small library still, the majority of material that I know I will never re-read, ends up in a box that is then transported to the VA hospital when I have an appointment and put to good use ..

In my last 2 appointments, the VA was not taking books/magazines due to the Pandemic and all .. hopefully, next month when I go in, they will be accepting again ..

I've had a few yard sales over the years, and you can't get much for used books, so they are hardly worth keeping for that .. the Hospital bound Vets and their families can use them ..

I suppose it makes a case for the Kindle or what-not, but I tried that and it was not for me .. and, I also suppose there is an environmental plus to an e-reader .. but, I still like paper ..

If "small" includes 3 rooms...

Although I did start "bagging" new ones that won't be reread and hauling them down when I visit my Dad, for him to go through and then "donate" to the library at his facility, that's been on hold for now two cancelled trips. Maybe find a similar local place and take them there.

Good rainy morning!

I don't care for the wet gloomy weather...but I sure like to see the flower garden starting to bloom.

I don't believe I've shared this,so, I live in a "senior citizens";) mobile home community and I was blessed to have my home in the very back, on a small cul-de-sac with acres of woods behind me.
Almost everyday I see lots of critters, including wild turkeys and an occasional deer! In the fall I put out deer feed at the edge of the woods for them..don't see them too often...but I DO see them! ( I have a sunporch so I sit out there just before dusk with my coffee n vape:))

Hope everyone has a great day!
