We're still stuck in the low / mid 60s, but overnights haven't been below about 40 for some time. And our first summer of the year (last week ;) ) did give most everything a jump start. Especially the dandelions....

Willie, maybe scoop up all those guitars for an investment?

I enjoy the videos, Willie but it was a pretty depressing time. You defiantly need to make some new ones.

Well, Frannie, I tried to keep them as light as I could, based on where things were .. .. it's a Historical reflection of the time .. ;)

Yep, but it's a time we need to be done with.

Well, you might have been smoking something other than an ecig.

@Kenna good to see you again and I'm glad you are doing well. Until you can go back to dog sitting check this out. It's one of three puppy cams at the Warrior Canine Connection. (Home - Warrior Canine Connection) This is a non profit that raises service dogs for wounded warriors. A very worthy group. Right now there are three litters…you can watch one at each cam.

@Janet H yes it makes me happy to walk into the GH. Between the GH, the flower beds and the veggie garden I spend about 2 hours outside every day. It's my sanity restorer.
Thanks, Bea! Those puppers are so cute! Sadiesaurus was about 10 weeks old when she tried to eat my arm. Those baby teeth!

    Morning, all.

Between storms, so back out. Actually, yesterday was only scattered, and managed to get rid of the latest burn pile. Time to gather more... :(

From what I've read it seems that two weeks after the second dose gets you to full immunity, if that's what you're waiting for :)

We are scheduled sometime in May. We got the Moderna which is the one we wanted.

    Edited .. [emoji14]

.. the truth is, during much of the Covid Days, I had pretty well cocooned myself into my own self-created Alternate Universe .. while I did not grow a beard down to my chest and I did change clothes and shower, it was somewhat of a hermit like life .. post-vaccine, I have begun to expand my sphere in baby-steps ..

This is one of the reasons that masking up never became automatic with me .. I don't know how many times I ended up walking back to the truck to get a mask .. in the Winter, I would generally have one shoved in a pocket ..

I guess it was good exercise ..

On a side note, PBS Frontline "The Virus That Shook The World", I think a two parter, is airing now .. part 2 comes out tonight .. well worth a watch ..
I know what you mean, Willie. My back has gotten so bad I spend most of my time in bed with the head & foot elevated to relieve it. I seldom get out unless I have to. I was ready to get started on getting something done about it when things went south. I'm on 2 immune suppressants & just play it safe. Treating this like the other vaccines I get for flu, shingles, blah, blah, blah. The Mom is 87 now, with COPD, & congestive heart failure so both of us are very high risk. Hate the masks. Don't wear one unless in a crowd or required. Thank God my State is fully open so we can get around easier. Getting a haircut wearing a mask is a pita. You leave with a furry mask! I think I've only used 2 masks this whole time. It has done one thing good, though. My RA Dr is doing my visits by video every 3 months now, which is wonderful! I'm such a hermit now that having to get fully dressed makes me grumpy. I wear snap-front seersucker "lounge" dresses ( housedress). Easy on, easy off, not binding because I get them a size big. They shine in the wash so bigger is better. They literally just float around me, so no joint strain. And seersucker takes wear well. Good enough to get me to the mailbox & back daily!

Good morning. It's going up to 86 today! The coldest night temp for the next 10 days will be 47. Time to put the plants out on the deck! I put the hummer feeder out yesterday to catch the early arrivals. Last year I spotted a hummer hanging around the spot where the feeder was the year before and had to scramble to make some nectar.

Willie, loved your video then and now.

This is weird. 4 weeks ago I had tonsillitis. Took a 10 day course of amoxicillin that fixed me right up. Yesterday afternoon it came back! Figured I'd call the doc this morning, but I'm actually feeling somewhat better. What the heck?
We've go 70's all week for the first time. It's been yo-yoing between mid 60's & mid 80's for a month now. We have big winds coming thru tonight, but not supposed to rain. Betting it rains anyway. [emoji1][emoji1][emoji1]

Ours were Pfizer. Iirc, the Moderna second shot is 3 weeks after the first. They made our appointments for the second dose when we got the first, made it easy for us :)
Yeah, we have our appointments too. It took so long to get these, I had to get little sisters to help hit the sites to try to get them before they were all snatched up.

I had my first tele visit with my doc a month ago and I agree, it's great! Don't even have to change out of jammy bottoms and slippers. He called in the Rx immediately and within 2 hours I was taking it. Now that's what I call getting things done!

Getting the C19 scheduled took us 8 weeks, but was handled like clockwork once we got there. Since then we keep getting notices from other places we signed up at that we can get our shots now.

I was told Moderna is 4 weeks apart and Pfizer is 3 weeks. What do I know?

We had the Pfizer shot and immediately the 2nd shot was scheduled for 4 weeks later. I thought it was supposed to be 3 weeks, but it's not critical, just so it's done. So now we're officially past the waiting.

I put up the hummingbird feeders 2 days ago. According to Penn Live the males should be arriving any minute. Can't wait til those little guys arrive.

Well, I know your memory is better than mine! ;) Yeah, I had it backward.

Another sunny day here, temp said to reach mid 70s. But cooler again tomorrow, and rain for the weekend.
