So I arrived at our daughter's house this afternoon forgetting that Hux had a T-ball game at 5:30. What? Of course I didn't bring my heavy coat, after all it's Spring and the temps are warming up - NOT! It was 50 degrees which wasn't too bad, but the wind was very cold. We sat there all bundled up while the 5 & 6 year olds tried to play baseball. It was a riot to watch, but they actually seemed to be getting the idea of what they were supposed to be doing. The coaches were terrific. Hux was the tiniest one on the team. He looked so cute in his uniform and he was the most enthusiastic kid on either team when the action got going.
Sometimes that is just how it happens. I think it is wonderful and I am glad you are getting along well. Slow is okay and I hope you feel better each new day.
That is so wonderful and I know it was fun to watch. Kids are so cute. A good coach is a big plus. Sorry, you were chilly. That wind can really make a difference.

Seems all the weather guessers were wrong yesterday, the rain decided to not arrive until sunset. Did manage to get the grass shorter, and, yep, soggy again today. Dandelions are much shorter

It's that Yard Sale time of the year, so, as is my habit, I've been hittin' 'em today .. among other things, I scored this vintage 1930's hand made doll house, real tiny brick facing / tiny shake shingle roof and about 3 feet tall without the stand .. just a wonderful piece, paid $25.00 ..

It was probably worth that or more, but, the thing is, how many crazy old dudes that love handcrafted wood old stuff come around and also have a truck they can haul it off in with cash in hand .. ??
Don't ask me what I'm going to do with it .. for now, it goes in the shed .. the first thing that popped into my head when I saw it was, I could turn it into a really trippy Haunted Doll House .. someday ..
Despite conflicting so-called 'news' blurbs about the Bird Flu, I did go ahead and hang one Hummingbird Feeder .. it's only been up for 10 minutes, so no takers as of yet ..
Also, on my Yard Sale quest, I ran across this hand made dog house .. the dude wanted $40 for it, but I have not yet decided if I want it .. the dog pretty much lives inside, yet I thought it would be nice to have a dog house as well .. and, the guy making these is pretty good with metal ..
I just could not decide, told him I'd think it over and swing by tomorrow .. it is nice and pretty unique ..
Gosh, I wanna go to your yardsales. You found some really neat stuff. I don't have a dog anymore but I like that house. Couldn't you put a perch and straw in there for a chicken house? Dad won't let me have any chickens and I can't talk my aunt into it either. I love fresh eggs. Maybe one day. On second thought I would need something bigger. I don't want a lonely chicken.
If I was your dog, I would prefer right where I was at. Just sayin'.

My dad made a similar wood-shingled (but not bricked) dollhouse for my daughter. (Her daughters have now outgrown it.) I'd be conflicted if it went for $25 at a garage sale. Glad it went to someone who wants it, but sad it went for so little.Hola ..

Good morning. 34 degrees here - this is not baseball weather! By 7:10 this morning Kate was back from the grocery store. She had to pick up snacks for the team. The game starts at 8:30 and she's already out the door with the boys. Yep, I stayed home for this one.
All this was after taking the kids to a carnival last night where the boys had a blast on the rides. Our little Brody was so excited to be at the carnivore!
Wow, that doll house is gorgeous! Somebody put a lot of love into making it and it was a steal for $25!
It's beautiful! And $40 is a steal!! Even if you didn't have a dog it would look so nice in your yard with a couple flowers around it.
