I guess everyone has been busy or something. So quiet around here.
The only thing exciting happening to me is I had my first fresh corn on the cob for supper. It was awesome. There is something about that first time. I have never paid $.43 an ear before but since I passed on the $6.98 watermelon, I felt it was justified. I can only cut my nose off to spite my face so far.

Yep, rain's back. The only surprise is that it was dry for a full day, yesterday
Did get the grass cut, and some hedge trimming as well, so made good use of it.

I'd guess the housing market may start to feel some pain, since there has been somewhat of a feeding frenzy there over the last few years as well ..
Things keep going like this, those folks that dropped 70K on a new Truck and still owe will be hurting .. expect some repos ..
There is no answer .. Reaganomics may offer some degree of solution, however, a tax cut is likely unlikely .. and, his run up of the deficit is probably not a good idea right now ..
It's odd how a Pandemic can dramatically change the landscape .. Oh, and that War in Ukraine can't be helping things ..
At any rate, it's the folks at the lower and middle end of the spectrum that feel the most pain .. Rich folks got the dough ..

All I know is I can remember when my mutual fund was quite happy and today it cried ever so sadly. Funny coincidence that it started going down along the same time Biden was sworn in.

Sore and a bit sunburned this morning. I started pulling weeds in the pool area and 4 hours later I was finally done. Thank goodness for Janet's little green garden kneeler/seat of my back would really be killing me.
Then when the weeds were finally gone it was time to edge the the mulched area and around the pool. Thank goodness its a rainy day ... perfect excuse not to be doing more yard work or mowing the grass (which needs it desperately). My own fault, kind of, as a few years ago I broke down and hired a yard service to apply all the right stuff at the right time. And it's worked, never had so much weedless grass to mow and boy does it grow even more and faster being treated regularly.
Then when the weeds were finally gone it was time to edge the the mulched area and around the pool. Thank goodness its a rainy day ... perfect excuse not to be doing more yard work or mowing the grass (which needs it desperately). Willie, looks like you're summer temps has finally reached us.
Hux has his last soccer game on Saturday. It's the first time we've been happy is game is at 8:30 a.m. Mike is coming down for it and afterward we'll head home. It's amazing how much these 5 year olds have improved since the first practice. The coach is amazing. Where was he when our kids were playing! You can tell he's an accomplished soccer player and he teaches high school. He's fabulous with the kids and very creative in the practices. Mike used to play soccer many moons ago. He's going to be impressed. And Hux gets SO excited when they score a goal. It's a riot.
