Looks like
No video ... you'll have to settle for a collage. Katie just sent this to me from the collection of pictures I took during the game.

I’m on my second cup of coffee…hopefully there’s some motivation in this one somewhere, because I didn’t find any in the first one

I need to get the laundry started, then clean and refill my hummingbird feeders. It’s supposed to be overcast with more rain chances today, so I may pick up one of my unfinished craft projects to work on. I certainly have a pile of them to choose from!

Hubs is still having a time with his shoulder. The surgeon wanted him to to try six weeks of physical therapy before resorting to surgery, and it doesn’t seem to be helping. The therapist tried some different exercises during his last session that almost seemed to make it all worse! He is allergic to NSAIDs, so he can’t take them for the inflammation. I’m actually starting to wonder if there’s more going on than just the torn rotator cuff because he says now it feels like his shoulder joint is filled with broken glass. He has his next appointment with the surgeon in a couple weeks, so hopefully they will figure something out. He’s also afraid that he’s going to lose his job, so he’s stressing over that too. I tell him not to worry but I know that’s easier said than done. I wish I could help him feel better :(

I guess I’d better get off my rump and get breakfast going…I hope you all have a great day!

I was fairly apprehensive initially about having a small dog .. having only had big dogs in the past .. plus, at my age, I don't want a dog to outlive me ..

Yet, Bela and I have grown accustomed to each other ..

I decided a while back that I would 'Walk the Dog' periodically, although due to it's small size, I feared my Man Card might be in jeopardy with the neighbors .. at any rate, I bought a small collar and a leash, and, it seemed the collar was secure enough .. yet, the dog would wrangle it's head out .. so, I went back to Pets Mart and bought a harness .. got home and sat there with the dog in my lap for at least half an hour trying to figure out how the harness was supposed to go on the dog .. very frustrating .. finally, threw in the towel and went to a neighbors house and asked them .. embarrassing ..

I can make a 10K guitar, fix a computer almost in my sleep, etc, but I can't put a harness on a dog ..
That's funny! Happy to hear you and Bela are enjoying life together.

FWIW, the trick to keeping a collar on a dog is two fingers. Put the collar on the dog and you should be able to fit your index and middle fingers comfortably between the collar and dog.

I do three fingers with our German Shepherds. Their big ol heads can't wrangle free.

Oh, and as an addendum .. the chicks dig the dog .. ;)
Well DUH!!! :D

Whenever I'm back in the city and walk my GSD, Carli, chicks are always stopping me to pet her and chat for a bit. And with some of them I wish I was like 20 all over again ( ).

I learned in my teens that dogs are chick magnets.

Side note: I hope none of you Ladies are offended by the use of 'chicks'. I mean, ya know, we always used to say "she's a cool chick" or better yet, "she is one good lookin' chick". Sumthin' tells me you're not offended though. ;) I should shut-up now or I'll get myself in some kinda trouble.

That sounds like what my wife had many years ago. Her rotator cuff was torn and she described it as feeling like shards of sharp glass. She had to do PT first too. They ended up doing surgery. She had several bone spurs in the joint. Those were the reason for the broken glass feeling she had.

It seems like surgeons always want folks to do PT before going under the knife. IDK, maybe PT helps some people and prevents some surgeries.

Wishing you and your husband good luck! :)

If it's prescribed by a private doctor, you may be right. I've been in the hospital twice, with several weeks of inpatient PT both times. I've almost decided that the need for PT depends on the some combination of the hospital's need to fill vacancies and the quality of the patient's insurance.

I learned in my teens that dogs are chick magnets.

I learned later on in my life little bundled infants are also chick magnets. When our son was born and I went shopping with Janet, if she was in the fitting room trying some post birthing clothing ... more chicks and young ladies came up to me and started talking just to get a look at the little babe in my arms.

But I don't think borrowing someone's new born and heading out to the clubs with him/her is probably going to work trying to pickup up a 'chick'.

PT helped my Eva, to the point that a few regular exercises kept the pain at bay. For me not so much, but (two things) (1) my pain was not extreme, and (2) my willingness to keep up a regimen was far lower.

Morning, misfits.

Another clear day here, and the current guess it that it will stay that way until the weekend. But cooling back down from our high yesterday, a sweltering 70.. Said to stay around 60 for the week.

Yes, some cases do respond well to PT, so the more invasive procedures aren't needed. It does (sort of!) make sense to exhaust all other avenues before honing the scalpel...

Good morning. It's beautiful here outside, only going up to 75 today which is quite a relief after 2 days of 95+ humid degrees. My favorite invention is AC - I'd be a miserable wretch without it!

Here are the happy Grandparents with their first Grandchild. I somehow think it is just one with many more to come.

Yum, the chicken and noodles are fantastic, and the house smells wonderful.

Look at all that hair and she looks so alert! She has no idea how beautiful she is.

Years ago I'd worn a hole in my rotator cuff that was giving me some awful pain. Went to the surgeon who told me if he did surgery I'd have to recover from the surgery which might be worse. He said I had to stop the repetitive movement that caused it and I was going to have to get my mobility back which was going to take about a year. What!!! PT was not helping until they put a TENS unit on it that I used all day. It was a miracle. Surgeon was right about it taking a year to get back to normal. If it's caused by bone spurs though I'd think those would have to be removed. It's a painful surgery. My sister and daughter have both had it done.

I will have to check tomorrow the amount but we have had rain all day. Worked out really well getting the 7th mowing of the season done yesterday.

heehee

After holding the umbrella for an hour during my walk, I decided to stay in bed the rest of the day and shop. I am not worried about Monkeypox but I probably should Sloth Syndrome. So glad the symptoms only occur sporadically (normally on rainy days).

Hope everyone had a great Monday and will have an even better Tuesday.
