Well, the bad news is that I think I will have to replace the fan motor in the condenser. With the discount, it will be $900 before taxes. Get a little bit ahead and life happens. If anyone wants a shoot 'em up bang bang I recommend "Nobody". It does have a cute kitty in it. Well, on to some more reading in the sweat box. The attic fan helps some. I hope everyone is having a good weekend.

You ain’t kidding…seems there’s always something to go wrong. I guess that’s just how it goes. We have to deal with it, but we sure don’t have to LIKE it! :nah:

We stayed over at a motel close to the WWII airshow Friday night. Brodie was the cutest little Spiderman ever wandering around the motel to the delight of everyone who saw him.

Good morning, Lizards!

I’m having coffee and tending to cats. KiKi, the neighbor’s cat, is hanging out on my front porch. I gave her some breakfast and now she’s lounging. My cat is not at all impressed with the interloper - she is sitting on the back of the couch watching her through the window, offering an occasional hiss to let me know that she is not pleased. I have seen them hanging out together on the back porch, but apparently my cat isn’t feeling friendly today. She is a bit of a grump so I’m not surprised.

I cut down some greenbrier vines that were trying to grow up one of the columns on mom’s porch yesterday. They were coming up through a giant rose bush, so I was elbow deep in all of it before I realized there was some poison ivy mixed in there, too. I was wearing gloves, but my arms weren’t covered. Hopefully I won’t be an itchy mess later

I’m off to scrounge up some breakfast and start laundry…I hope you all have a fantastic Sunday!

Good morning, 'er afternoon all. When I was growing up, we had a trailer on Grand Lake. The summers were full of adventure, fishing, and swimming in the dirty brown lake water. One of my friend's family had a Siamese cat that liked to climb any tree that got in her way. She just couldn't get down. It was my job to climb the trees and get her down. I had a rash on my chest and my mother thought it was infantigo from swimming in the lake. Her way of treating it was to remove the scabs and put Bactine on it, every night! It didn't go away. Finally, a family friend, who was a doctor came to the lake and Mom had him look at it. It was poison ivy! I never climbed another tree! That darn cat was on her own!

We don’t realize how much we need our various body parts until they start giving us trouble!
Looking on the bright side, since my back started bothering me, I think my knee feels better.

No more bad spasms unless I bend over at the waist and try to do something. So I am going to continue to be careful with it. I took a walk tonight after supper and it did fine.

I am going to call the doctor tomorrow regarding the swelling in dad's legs and a place that is not healing up to my liking so just in case I get busy with him, Rosesense, I wanted you to know that I will be thinking about you Tuesday when you have your next cataract surgery. (I hope I remembered correctly)

    Morning, loungers.

The claim is that the rain will ease up today, "nice" tomorrow, then start coming back tomorrow night. Dandelions love it.

Temps running mid to upper 60s, maybe some low 70s, for the next few days, so even light showers aren't bad, and it keeps the toe webs nice and flexible :)

So at dinner time last night I checked into the ER with 105-106 degree temperature. Earlier in the afternoon I was working in the shop and just started feeling yucky. So I cleaned up and put all the tools away. Then I just started shaking uncontrollably. I could hardly tap the right key on the keyboard to send Janet a message. She was away at a baby shower.

So I just made my way to the bedroom and crawled under the covers. After a bit the shaking stopped and I just felt sick as all heck. When Janet got home she took my temp and it was 'up there'.

5 hrs at the ER where they diagnosed me w/ pneumonia. I was hooked up to an antibiotic drip and a saline drip. My temp got down to the low 100's and the Dr asked me if I felt good enough to go home or he could admit me and give me another round of antibiotics.

Thanks but no thanks, I think I'll do better in my own bed than staying here. The doc said Ok by me, lets get you out of here but 1st take some oral antibiotics and we'll call in a script to your pharmacy for more.

Well, that was a silly thing to do!

Yeah, unless the hardware in the hospital is needed, likely to do better at home. Hope you get past it quick. :nun:

You're no longer allowed to be home alone. You need Janet to make sure you go to the hospital BEFORE you get so sick.

    Glad you're doing better.

Well now, that's a two way street. Quite a few years ago I came home late afternoon from a day of fishing. Janet was laying on the couch. I asked is everything OK. She said no, her pulse rate was over 200 and she was just lying down waiting for me to come home. I told her she should have called or even gotten the local EMS to take her to the ER, which is what I did immediately. It was only like her 2nd really serious bout with the AFIB she has.

    Good afternoon.
So, yesterday was rather interesting. I was an hour away at a lovely baby shower with some friends I haven't seen in awhile when Mike called. This sickness came on him all of a sudden. He was fine when I left, but a mess when he called me less than 3 hours later. I came home to find him in bed and was shocked to see what his temp was and that was after the Tylenol. Of course he was buried under the covers so that kept the heat up. I know high temps kill germs, but when it's that high it ca also kill off brain cells and at our age we don't have many left to lose! So, I gave him Ibuprofen and took him to the ER. Why do these things always happen on the weekends? Anyway, they figured out what was wrong, pumped him full of antibiotics and he's doing way better today.

Just as an update, dad is doing much, much better since he had his two falls (thank goodness). I have a herniated disk and when I start getting those little spasms in my back, I decide real quick to take it easy. I cannot afford to be out of commission because I have no one to help with dad or me for that matter. I have warned him that he is no longer allowed to fall twice in one day. We will see if the stubborn man listens to me. View attachment 975825

So glad to hear your Dad is doing better and goodness, better take care of that back! That pain is awful.

Did you wash off your arms as soon as you were done? How are you doing today?

This came on so fast! And he was shaking BEFORE he got the fever - very weird. I'm pretty sure he's done with the fever now so he's improving fast thank heavens.

    Get well soon!
