Dad is doing fine and I was glad that the doctor concurred with my diagnosis and plan of action. heehee I told her that I appreciated the 2nd opinion. She laughed. She likes me and made me feel really good today. She told dad that he was so lucky to have a daughter that took such good care of him and he actually agreed. But what else could he do but agree? heehee

We are going to increase his Lasik and get some of the swelling down in his legs. That is what had me concerned because of his A-Fib and the clots he had in his lungs on the last hospital stay. We will see how he feels later today. I think he will feel like a racehorse. (if you know what I mean)

So at dinner time last night I checked into the ER with 105-106 degree temperature. Earlier in the afternoon I was working in the shop and just started feeling yucky. So I cleaned up and put all the tools away. Then I just started shaking uncontrollably. I could hardly tap the right key on the keyboard to send Janet a message. She was away at a baby shower.

So I just made my way to the bedroom and crawled under the covers. After a bit the shaking stopped and I just felt sick as all heck. When Janet got home she took my temp and it was 'up there'.

5 hrs at the ER where they diagnosed me w/ pneumonia. I was hooked up to an antibiotic drip and a saline drip. My temp got down to the low 100's and the Dr asked me if I felt good enough to go home or he could admit me and give me another round of antibiotics.

Thanks but no thanks, I think I'll do better in my own bed than staying here. The doc said Ok by me, lets get you out of here but 1st take some oral antibiotics and we'll call in a script to your pharmacy for more.
Mike that must have been really scary for both of you. Glad you’re better.

Morning, all.

Seems we're going to see a big yellow thing in the sky today, the silly weather guessers call it something like sun. Name like that, probably another Chinese plot.

We are going to increase his Lasik and get some of the swelling down in his legs.

Hope that does the trick for him! :thumb:

A totally uneventful day. IT HAS BEEN WONDERFUL!

Would not bother me at all if tomorrow was more of the same. heehee

I love reheat and eat nights. Was so nice I took a second walk after supper. Warm but I had the little fan blowing in my face so it was all good.

Darn near vaped me sick last night playing with the settings on the new tooter. Thought I was going to have to open the windows to clear out the fog. I sure did spend a lot of money to figure out I really don't need those other 92 watts.

But by gosh, they are there if I ever need em'.

Hope everyone is having a great evening.

Thanks for the tip. You can only order 1 pack of 2 with the code so Mike ordered 1 and I ordered 1. That might be all we need. The ones we have on our front walk shine straight up. Didn't realize they were so bright so I don't like them and 1 of them has stopped working anyway. These look like they can be positioned better.

How do you get those promo codes? That is a GREAT deal. Ordered.

In the order info about any product look to see if there is a "promo code" in green under the price info. On this one it said save 29% in green. Just click on it then add to your cart. Then add the code on the order page where it says to apply the code.

Looks like I may have to have a chat with our local hawk. Either that or I hear squirrel stew is pretty good. Not only do they evidently like the cayenne pepper mixed into the seed in the feeder, but now at least 1 of them has figured out how to drink the nectar from the hummer feeder! He hangs from his feet to reach the feeder, tilts off the red top and then tilts nectar reservoir to slurp up his fill. It may take him awhile to figure out that I now have taped the red top onto the bottom of the feeder.

If you use Edge, get Capital One Shopping. It will find all the codes and best deals for you. Honey and Rakuten are good but for money back, not discounts at time of ordering.

Good morning, 'er afternoon all. When I was growing up, we had a trailer on Grand Lake. The summers were full of adventure, fishing, and swimming in the dirty brown lake water. One of my friend's family had a Siamese cat that liked to climb any tree that got in her way. She just couldn't get down. It was my job to climb the trees and get her down. I had a rash on my chest and my mother thought it was infantigo from swimming in the lake. Her way of treating it was to remove the scabs and put Bactine on it, every night! It didn't go away. Finally, a family friend, who was a doctor came to the lake and Mom had him look at it. It was poison ivy! I never climbed another tree! That darn cat was on her own!

Bactine…good grief, my mom would douse me in that stuff for everything! I remember I had an ingrown toenail once, and my toe got infected. Mom spayed it down with Bactine, but to no avail. She was considering taking me to the doctor, but dad cured it with some Gibson’s All-Stock. It worked on the cows, so he figured it would work for me. I still remember the smell of that stuff, and the feeling that my toe was going to burst into flames. About two seconds after he put in on there, I screamed like the dickens. When mom came to investigate, she yelled at my dad (the polite version) “Dang it, she is NOT A COW! What were you THINKING?”. Once my toe finally went numb, it wasn’t so bad. It cleared the infection right up, though! He felt so bad because he just thought it might sting a little, but that stuff lit me up like the 4th of July. ZERO STARS, DO NOT RECOMMEND!

    Good afternoon.
So, yesterday was rather interesting. I was an hour away at a lovely baby shower with some friends I haven't seen in awhile when Mike called. This sickness came on him all of a sudden. He was fine when I left, but a mess when he called me less than 3 hours later. I came home to find him in bed and was shocked to see what his temp was and that was after the Tylenol. Of course he was buried under the covers so that kept the heat up. I know high temps kill germs, but when it's that high it ca also kill off brain cells and at our age we don't have many left to lose! So, I gave him Ibuprofen and took him to the ER. Why do these things always happen on the weekends? Anyway, they figured out what was wrong, pumped him full of antibiotics and he's doing way better today.

That sounds just awful…it’s scary how fast that came on! I’m glad you’re on the mend!

    Morning, loungers.

Said to be only scattered showers today, more serious rain over the weekend.

Bag a nice pair of solar spotlights .. in fact, I have a set of these and they are quite good ..

IF you have sunlight! Small solar powered devices only work in the summer here, when we don't need them.
