Hola .. :)

Disclaimer :: I did not buy the 'phones, I'm not interested in Bone Phones, I have at least a half dozen classic 'phones laying around, I did not make the Bone Phones nor get any kick-back on any sales .. :p

A discussion had ensued around this tech, I saw a deal and posted it .. I am simply the Messenger .. :p

However, if I put my engineer hat on, logic would say, 'The tech in these phones is simply unable to provide anywhere near the same level of gain as traditional headphones .. no way, no how .. and, I would have to venture to guess it would not matter what brand .. '

Now, that's just coming from the standpoint of how hearing works, which I've dealt with for most of my life .. I could be wrong ..

Our friends at Head Phone University tell us this, it does not necessarily agree with my comments ::

Are Bone Conduction Headphones Loud Enough? – Headphone University

No negative feelings toward you AT ALL for posting the deal on the bone phones. Headphone University, Youtube reviews, and @r77's comments must be for better quality bone phones. I can't imagine doing any kind of exercise / workout and being able to hear the volume put out by the 'deal ones' yet alone stay in place due to the fit. Not your fault, now way, now how that I'm disappointed in them. I checked 1st for free returns before I bought them. So all is good, won't cost me a cent to have tried them out.

Like you I've got multiple ear buds and full headsets of good quality. I just tried this on a whim. No harm done.

But I'd still like to hear from others who got them. Might be just me who is disappointed with them.

Good morning. Sunny and going up to 90 again today. Our son came over yesterday and helped get the pool open. For some reason we had really green water under the tarp, but it's cleared up nicely by this morning. Miles keeps asking when he can come to swim so he'll be happy for sure.

I got a years supply of vitamin D from the sun yesterday doing lots of weeding around the back of the house. Today I'll work on the front and see how far I get. Surprisingly my back is not protesting too much. Mulch is to be delivered on Monday, but we have a guy coming to spread that around on Tuesday. It's a lot of work, but everything looks so nice when it's done.

Morning, all.

Still summer here, heading towards, and likely past, 90 for the next couple days. Then a 20 degree drop to humane temps ;)

Hi, Lizards - I hope you are all having a nice Sunday!

I went to the grocery store this morning and it was already hot at 8:30 am. I think we’re supposed to have some thunderstorms roll through this evening…I don’t care for storms but we could certainly use the rain.

I am about to make sausage and pancakes for breakfast (or I guess “brunch”, since I’m running behind) and start some laundry. I plan to enjoy the air conditioning and work on a new pair of socks I started knitting. The cat is feeling better and wants outside, so I’ll be listening to her complain until she gives up and takes a nap. Hmmm, maybe I’ll take one too…nothing better than a good nap!

Hey all! Have you missed me?

We came back to the hospital early Friday morning. Both his lungs have fluid again. For some reason, they do not want to drain them as they did in April. Using powerful diuretics and judging from the diminished swelling in his legs, they seem to be working. Keeping my fingers crossed. I am evidently having sympathy urinations but they have not offered me a complimentary catheter.

I told him I was not going to be able to stay with him like I did last time. Of course, you know where I am sleeping again. But, looking on the bright side, this recliner makes my 60-some-year-old mattress at home seem like sleeping on a cloud. You will no longer hear this o'l girl complain about it.

Hope everyone is having a nice and relaxing Sunday afternoon.

I only called that 'funny' for your presentation - not your situation.
No worries there, I knew what you meant.

The therapist came and got dad for a walk. While he was gone, it was a good time to change his sheets since no one else seems to do it around here. I honestly think clean sheets can make you feel better and since I don't have to wash them, I think it's a good idea. heehee

The PT girl said dad did really well. I happen to know he hurried along because he was missing his Nascar race. I know him so well. Yesterday, they said he would probably need oxygen when they let him go home. Tonight she said she did not think he needed it. That is really good.

For years dad has been drinking Lipton Georgia Peach Tea but I always just drink my tea. I bought him one down in the canteen and drank half of it and it was really good. Very peachy tasting.

Morning, lizards.

Yep, another day hiding under a rock from the yellow blob. Then a 20 degree drop tonight, and temps close to normal.

Yesterday, they said he would probably need oxygen when they let him go home. Tonight she said she did not think he needed it. That is really good.

Hope you can get him to continue walking. Important, that, to help with the liquid... maybe a bicycle with generator, so he has to cycle to watch the race? ;)

Four doctors walked in this morning and said they were going to keep him one more day. After their conversation with me, he is being discharged today. One of the doctors that have been dealing with me the last two visits told the others that I was more than capable of caring for him at home. He was quite impressed with the medical records I showed him. See? Being .... has its advantages. (along with a few not so good) heehee

Oh well, I just thought I would give you an update. I appreciate y'all for reading about me and dad. I know it is not something important to you but it is a big part of me and has been all my life. At some point, I can promise you that I will not be able to share what is going on with me. You will not want to know.

heehee

I am going to give them a little longer before I go to the desk and ask them if it is okay for me to remove his cath and monitors to help them get him discharged. I am quite the little helper and I am in git-r-done mode. If you do not hear from me, don't worry. I am probably still sleeping or singing in the shower. bahahahahaha

I have always felt like if you have a cell phone or a google account. . . someone is tracking you. Friends tell me they do not want a Facebook account because don't want to be tracked. I always ask them if they have a cell phone. heehee

Since I brought my laptop to the hospital, my spam folder has gone from "check your credit score and erectile dysfunction" to "cardiac arrest and what swollen feet mean". That is NOT a coincidence.

It does not bother me because my life is an open book. I will admit I put tape over my webcam when not in use but other than that, have fun seeing what all I google and do.

Hope everyone has a nice afternoon.

52 years ago today, Janet and I became Mr. & Mrs. I still remember a couple of the basic ground rules she laid out. 1. I don't get up and make you breakfast. 2. I don't iron shirts. There might have been more but these were at the top of the list.

We do care. I was wondering how you and he were doing. It's not just the patient who needs to be worried about. By-the-way, I think you should file an official complaint about not offering you a complimentary catheter. I'd love to hear what happens after that.
