It's 108 here today. I'm haven't even gone out for the mail! Maybe tomorrow, as soon as I'm dressed.
Up in NW NM, we just broke 100 - again. Outside of doing laundry, it was a really great day to stay home and enjoy the swamp cooler.

Thought I would pop in and say. . .

Life has certainly been challenging lately, to say the least. I really wish I could tell you that everything is getting a little better each day but it is not. Each night I ask how much more I can handle by myself, and each morning, I wake up and say I can do it one more day.

Miss you all.

Oh Tory, you were on my mind a lot lately since you haven't posted in a bit. So sorry it's not good news. Maybe it's time to have a chat with the doc. Let them know what's going on. It's quite possible they can help or at least refer you to some place than can. There are also support groups that can be most valuable. When I was dealing with the 3 sisters, 2 with Alzheimer's and one with severe depression, I found the support group was most helpful. Meanwhile, I'll keep the good vibes and prayers coming.

Stay cool and please don't melt.

Clovis is down in the south east corner of the state; Farmington is in the northwest corner. I think mswish is down there somewhere. It is probably hotter down there, both because of elevation and latitude.
    Thanks.

    Morning, all.

Looks like we're joining the party at the heat dome... although thankfully still at the lower end of the range. 80s and 90s for the coming week... yeah, might be time to roll out the portable a/c to take the edge off....

Yes, "heat index", or "feels like" is important. Affects how easily (or poorly!) one's body can regulate internal temp. And, of course, even when we have no rain, our humidity is generally pretty high... :(

I’m sorry things are difficult right now. :( I don’t have anything helpful to add but I’m definitely thinking of you and sending lots of good vibes and mojo your way! And lots of virtual hugs if you want ‘em.

Our power went out around 4:30 and stayed off for almost an hour. I was starting to get a little worried, because it is HOT today. I was so relieved when it came back on!

Not much to report in my neck of the woods, other than the ridiculous heat/humidity. We had a 40’ container shipment at work today that had to be unloaded and I was really worried someone might get overheated. Those containers are just big metal boxes, baking in the sun, and I’m sure it was well over 100 degrees in there. The containers are stacked floor to ceiling and side to side with boxes ranging in weight from 15 lbs to 50 lbs. They all have to be manually stacked on pallets, so that’s exhausting even when it’s NOT a hot day. Fans don’t help very much when it’s as hot/humid as it was today. Luckily no one had a heat stroke, but I’m sure they will all sleep like babies tonight! I have NO SHAME in admitting that I was super grateful that everyone showed up and I didn’t have to help unload. I’m getting too old for that stuff!

Good morning. We're only in the mid to low 90's with high humidity so we're not as bad as other places, but it's still miserable to do any work outside here. Unfortunately we're getting our house ready to sell so outside work, like painting the deck, is a must. I should have just accidently fallen in the pool yesterday.

Not often PA and WA have the same weather... yeah, not as bad as many other places, but still not fun. At least we're still dipping into the high 50s overnight, so some ability to cool the house down before the afternoon heat.

A couple hours on the hose, early, and then hunker down in front of the fans...

Has the house gotten too big for you or do you just want to move.
