Hola .. :)

Hittin' a fish fry for dinner .. sunny but nipply outdoors ..

Been watching 'Tulsa King' on Paramount+ with Sly Stallone .. just a great show ..

Saw 'Avatar II' Wednesday matinee at the IMAX .. sublime .. long movie, should have brought a Depends .. ;)
But what did you think about Avatar besides going for a bio break?

I enjoyed watching it. I thought it was very good too. I hope there will be a Season 2. Usually when I like something they never do. The shows I think stinks, stay on for years.

I have also enjoyed watching George and Tammy. He does not look like George Jones but his playing of the character is spot on. Have you watched it?

Good morning, Lizards!

I went to the doc yesterday about my arm. It was a new doc, because my old doc had left the practice. New doc was alarmed at my blood pressure, and now I have to buy a blood pressure monitor and record my numbers every day. Not happy about that. My blood pressure was actually a bit low for years and years, but since I’ve gotten somewhat chunky, it has climbed higher. I’m sure the ungodly traffic and the arm pain didn’t help yesterday’s numbers, I suppose I’ll see how it goes.

I have an appointment on Monday with an ortho because she thinks my arm issues are due to my neck. She took X-rays and told me there was some disc degeneration and then she spoke some medical jargon about the curve of my spine…didn’t really understand that, but maybe the other doc can explain it better. It just seems weird to me because my neck doesn’t hurt, but I am no medical professional. I am just the schmuck that will have to pay the bill  I’m guessing they’ll want me to have a few weeks of physical therapy, so I can hear the CHA-CHINGing of future bills adding up in my head! It will be worth it if it helps, so I guess I shouldn’t complain too much. I’m fortunate to have insurance (even if it’s not the greatest) - lots of folks don’t have any at all, so it could always be worse.

After I finish my coffee, I’m off to hit the shower and run some errands. After I get back, I will have to dust off my elliptical machine…doc wants me to start getting some exercise. I live out in the boonies on a narrow but busy-ish road where people drive like loons, so between that and the rain, I will have to do my walking indoors today. I think I still have my exercise music playlists so hopefully they will help with the motivation.

I hope you all have a fantastic Saturday!

Yes, things can always be worse.

I am so sorry you are having issues with your arm. It is weird to have one issue and find out it is really another. The main thing is you are being proactive and taking care of the problem. Having insurance definitely helps.

I hopeyou see improvement in whatever they decide to do. Sending good thoughts your way!

Good morning. Overcast and dreary here, but it's 39 going to 46 so at least there's no ice. The boys are off to their jujitsu class, but I can't rush to get myself ready so we're not going this time.

I ate McDonald's tonight for the first time in over 30 years. The BigMac was not as good as I remembered. I'm 99.9% sure it will be another 30 years before I go back. Methinks I'm more of a Whopper girl as far as fast-food restaurants go. View attachment 987944
Those burgers always seem to stay in a lump in my stomach so I haven't had in probably 30 years too. However, I get the chicken sandwich if we take the kids to McD's and it's actually pretty good.

The only reason I've been going to a chiropractor for 40 years is that so many times they've adjusted one part of my body and it's fixed pain in a seemingly unrelated part. It's like magic. Several times I've been in bad pain and they've adjusted me maybe twice and said you'll feel much better in 2 days - no way I told them, but dang, they were right! Gotta be careful not to get a quack though. Some of them swear they can cure everything from a hang nail to cancer. Gotta find one who knows when to refer you to a specialist. Hope your arm pain is one of the simple fixes.

Thank you. I have heard they have good chicken sandwiches. I might go back and try that next time. Maybe it won't be 30 years before I go back this time.

Either way, I bet I will still like chicken when I'm 92.

When I was at Terry's coastal getaway, he had a statue on his dresser. For some reason, every time I looked at it I thought about Dennis (MamaTried). I think this looks like him. I sure do miss talking with him and listening to his wonderful stories!

Oh, Terry asked me if I wanted to go shooting next week. YAY for me! Of course, I do. I am on day 26 of waiting for my cc license. They said it could be 45 days or longer with the increased interest. I can't wait. I just want to get comfortable and confident before I start packing. I am going to take the 357 I keep beside the bed this time and maybe that little Baretta. I only have one box of ammo for it because 25 is hard to find anymore. It is just for fun because all it would do is perturb someone if I used it. Of course, that depends on where I aim it.

'Tulsa King' finale is Sunday, so it's not quite over yet .. and it was renewed for a 2nd season ..

I struggled through 2 episodes of 'George and Tammy' and that's all I could take .. you want a great biopic, check 'Pam & Tommy' on HULU

Finished 'The White Lotus' Season 2 on HBO MAX this week and took in 'Emily the Criminal' on Netflix .. both two thumbs up ..

I have considered a chiropractor…I just can’t make myself do it. I know several folks that swear by them, but I had one coworker that had to have emergency back surgery because of one. I guess that has scared me away from them. Although if you think about it, regular doctors can be just as risky…some are good, some are quacks, and most fall somewhere in between!

I tried a Popeye’s chicken sandwich once, after seeing all the people fighting over them on the news a few years ago. It was good, but nowhere near “fightin’ good”. :?:

Steak 'n Shake makes a good burger if you're eating at a chain place, so does Chili's .. Chuck A Burger in STL if you want it the old fashioned way .. they still yell out the order to the cook since there is no speaker or mics ..
