Had a wonderful time shooting and I still cannot hit the "x". No matter where I aim, everything lands in the center of the man's chest on the target. Go figure.
My friend brought a Colt 45 and the same 9mm he brought last time. The Colt had just a little more kick to it but I like it. Too big for a cc but nice.
I took dad's 357 that he always kept in the bedside table. First time I had ever shot it and I liked it also. I asked my friend to shoot both the 357 and the Beretta first. I need to know how much kick it had so I would be prepared. He said the little Beretta would not put one in the chamber. I told him not to worry about it because it was not worth taking it to be fixed. When we got home he got out the new little cleaning kit I bought and showed me how to clean them. When he pulled back the slide on the Beretta, it worked beautifully. I'll take it next time and try again but only because I have a box of ammo for it. It is cute though. Sad but it would only agitate someone. I'm not meaning to agitate anyone if you know what I mean.
I would have loved to have shot some more but he got hungry and tempted me with fried shrimp at Capt. Bill's. What's a poor girl to do? I'll tell you what she does. She goes and feasts on shrimp.
I did not feel too bad about eating it because I walked 6 miles yesterday. The plan was to skip supper but my stomach was not in agreement. Boiled egg and oyster crackers to the rescue. heehee
Just an update on my blood donation attempt. I have given doubles since 2007 (yes, I keep a list). I am not sure if the iron supplements I have been taking helped the anemia but I was deferred because I did
not weigh enough. Boy howdy. That's a first. Guess I will have to return to only giving singles because this o'l girl is
not going to gain 10 lbs. (on purpose anyway)
Sorry for the long a.m. post. I've been up since 4 and I'm chatty. Imagine that!
Hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday.
