Oh darn. I'm not quite finished yet.

The new contacts I am trying are AMAZING. He suggested I try multi-focal because I said something about having readers in every room including the bathrooms. Well, I put them on yesterday morning and packed my readers just like I always do and I want you to know that I did not get them out of my pocketbook a single time. I also did not have to get out the little bottle of refresh drops I always carry in my bra because I wore them for 13 hours and my eyes did not get dry. Isn't that wonderful?

The only problem now is what the heck am I going to do with my drawer full of readers?

You already knew I match my cell phone case to my outfits. Did you really think I wouldn't my readers? bahahahahaha

I'm done now.

Hi, Lizards! I’m popping in early this morning…my sleep, and/or lack thereof, is all over the place. I am full of steroids, and the arm pain is somewhat better. Still there, but less sharp. The tingling and numbness now feels a little less like I grabbed hold of an electric fence, so I am happy about that. I start physical therapy on Monday, so maybe between that and the meds, I’ll be on the mend soon.

The steroids/lack of good sleep are making me extra cranky. ‘Roid rage, maybe? I find myself taking deep breaths and biting my tongue at work a lot more than usual. Hopefully I will get through this without catching any assault charges. I am almost finished with all the year-end payroll stuff like taxes, 1099’s and W2’s, but still have some other things to close out, so I can’t afford any jail time yet

I just recently discovered that Judith Durham of the Seekers had passed .. if there was any Music News Blurb in the USA, I missed it .. she was Australian and lived in Australia ..

Back in the '60's, I had a serious crush on Durham the woman and Durham the singer .. I followed her career until maybe the 1990's ..

I don't know about anyone else, but when 'Georgy Girl' used to come on the radio back in the day, I'd always sing along ..

A Brief Blurb on Wearing Glasses and Other Misc Ramblings ..

I embrace my age .. I wear my glasses around my neck on a glasses string .. I consider it a badge of honor and an added accessory to my everyday garb .. yes, I have a cataract or two, but I don't care .. I suppose that when eye surgery becomes required in order to, er, see anything at all, I'll do it, but it won't be out of vanity .. nor do I look forward to it ..

From many, many years on the road, dealing with sound mixing, I have a constant ringing in both ears, known as tinnitus .. my time in the Military was probably the beginning of this affliction .. it does affect my hearing somewhat, and there are some treatments, but I don't care .. if I have to ask someone to repeat something, so what ..

My Barber of many years always asks me if I want my eyebrows trimmed .. the answer is always no .. in fact, at my last haircut, she did not ask and lunged at my eyebrows with a scissors at which time I jerked my head back and said, 'What are you doing .. ??' .. I want that bushy eyebrow look ..

My teeth needed to go .. so, they went .. I got tired of dealing with them .. implants / screw in teeth were an option I was unwilling to pay for, not seeing the gain vs. the cost .. in fact, I quizzed a couple women I know prior to getting dentures 'Where did you get those dentures .. ??' With which, both replied in shock .. 'How can you tell .. ?? These are IMPLANTS ..' .. like, OK, sorry I insulted you, but hey, they look like dentures ..

I've earned the right to be a curmudgeon .. I've lived my life pretty much the way I've wanted to live it and I won't change that for anyone or anything .. I would not change it for four wives, who all gave it their best shot and likely married me because they thought they could change me ..

Embrace who you are .. that's where Peace is found ..

Modern Society offers what they consider the ideal image, pushed at us through the Media .. even directed at those of us that are moving toward the four score time ..

We cannot turn back time, no matter what we do or can afford to do .. we can, however, adapt to the Seasons of our lives and do it with no regret ..

Admittedly, there are times I can't hardly stand to live with my own self .. .. but that's more of a mental challenge than anything else ..

Maybe it's time to step up your game and move along to a scope and a SKAR. It does shoot a bullet (7.62x54) a bit bigger than a 9mm though.

Good rainy morning. Gonna be wet all day, but it's going up to 52 so that's nice. I hate having to get bundled up just to go to the mailbox.

Today I just have to pick the little guy up from school at noon so no errands to do. Think I'll get our paperwork organized. Our file cabinet is in storage but we've accumulated a bunch of paperwork since moving in here.

Long ago, when I was beating out a living, I would sing to my lathe. Somehow, the sound hit the spinning chuck, and came back much better.

Oh no!!! That is so wrong!!! I belt it out, but at least the dogs don't complain. Especially when I am driving alone. I say my memory is going because it is full of old (and new) song lyrics!!

Then there are TV show theme songs and commercials! We were on a streak of tuning the TV to a station with Rawhide. We don't really watch when working but that song! Timing was also so at the end of show happened to be at a time when I go run the dogs. If they hear "head em up, move em out, move em out head em up," well, you get the picture, and get all excited. Always an earworm in the back of other lyrics.

The rain held off today but tonight it has been pouring. Even had some thunder. Should be gone by tomorrow but those leaves are still too wet to get up. Oh darn, and I am so looking forward to it.

I was doing research on new contacts and found out they are extended wear. I call the eye doctors office to confirm and she said just to take them out one night a week. That is so weird.

I always keep my glasses, phone and tooter next to me in bed. So when I awakened, I reached for my tooter (always the first thing I do) and unplugged my phone. I felt around for my glasses and could not find them. Felt everywhere. Even hung off the side of the bed thinking they had fallen to the floor. Then I realized that I was wearing my contacts. Sheesh! Talk about a senior moment. But it is just a habit after so many years. I was disappointed that I did not have to get up during the night to use the restroom because I can't imagine seeing when I wake up. Isn't it wonderful?

Going to have a movie night tomorrow to watch Top Gun with my friend. I am going to cook supper for him but he best not get used to it.

On the recommendation of my ex-bro-in-law, I have been watching All Creatures Great and Small. I really enjoyed it. I think there are 3 seasons and I am almost finished with the first one.
