It was sad to lose one of the best guitarists this week cause Jeff Beck was amazing. Now Lisa Marie. So sad because at 54, she was just a baby.

Got the wonderful aroma of Pintos in the crockpot this morning. Chances are it will not be as aromatic later, if you know what I mean.

It's wonderful to live alone!

Happy Friday all!

Hola .. :)

Woke up to maybe an inch of snow and a thin layer of ice under it ..

Dug into the couch cushions and truck console, scraped up about $50 bucks .. and why .. ?? I'm going to break my general rule today on the lotto and go buy $50 bucks worth of tickets ..

Because it's Friday the 13th ..

Rain and getting colder by the minute here. Ugh! Would have been nice if we'd had some snow, but I did have to drive an hour to see my doc so no snow today was a good thing. Seems I've developed neuropathy in my feet. Very weird because it comes and goes. Gonna try some gabapentin and get some blood work done to see what's up. This getting old stuff seems like there's always something new to deal with. At least he didn't tell me I had to get rid of my feet.

We're going out to a family bar/restaurant for dinner tonight. It'll be good to get out and do something fun for dinner and not have to clean up afterward - again!

Hey Willie! Good luck with the lotto, hope you win. That dream vacation may happen sooner than you think!

Have had it for a few years .. it was pretty bad for a time, yet after I lost weight and got away from the pre-diabetic issues, it's not near as bad as it was ..

Hola .. :)

Oh, c'mon now, Mike .. not even when you're alone and no one's listening .. ?? You can tell us, we won't leak the secret singing .. ;)

EDIT :: Has anyone, just anyone, not sang in the car when a tune comes on the radio that they love .. ?? .. I don't care if you think you can sing or not .. who resists car singing, especially if you are alone .. ??

My husband does not sing along, even when he’s by himself. I have often accused him of being an alien. It would explain a lot of things, like his strong dislike of apple pie

I sing along, and sometimes burst into song making up my own lyrics as I go. What gets me is that I sound AWESOME in the car, but nowhere else  My mom and her mother had beautiful voices (mom even sang harmony and played guitar a couple times in Nashville when she was younger). My dad’s mother had an amazing voice, too - toured all over the south for a few years with a gospel quartet. ALLLLLL that talent, and not a bit of it made its way into my dna! Doesn’t stop me from belting it out, though. Music is meant to be enjoyed!

That is pretty popular around here cause I have it also. I was diagnosed many years ago. I hope you have good results with the Gabapentin. It was the only medication that has ever helped but it did not agree with me. I gave it two different tries. It helps so many and I hope you are one of them. Cymbalta is an anti-depressant that can also help. I was on that for several years also.

I thought for sure the luck would be on Friday the 13th .. I even hit a casino last night .. as they say, no dice there either ..

I never ate pizza or apple pie or pumpkin pie (actually any pie with fruit in it) until I was into my late 20's. Also to this day I've never had a peanut and jelly sandwich.

Today was another over cast cold day. I can't remember how many days, now, it's been see we had a sunny day. a

And I thought I was the only deprived and sheltered one here!

Just kidding, but I have never met anyone who has said that they'd never had a PB&J. If I was Janet, the next time you get in the doghouse, that would be what was for supper.

It's not bad waking up so early when the coffee tastes this good.

I might not have slept because I am excited that I am going to a boat show today. I think it will be fun, especially going with someone who has had a boat all his life and knows about them. The show is only an hour away but that adventure is enough for this o'l girl. I love doing things that I've never done before.

Make Sunday a special day!

You should live on the edge and try yourself a PB&J! I have a coworker that teases me for eating them for breakfast sometimes. They are good, and easy to slap together. If you want to be fancy, you can make them on some ”good” bread, maybe even toast it a bit first. You have to hold your pinky finger up when you eat the fancy ones  I also have them for a snack when I am munchy but can’t really think of what I want to eat. My ex mother-in-law used to make biscuits most mornings and would eat PB&J on them sometimes. The peanut butter gets all warm and melty on the hot biscuit and it was delicious...good with honey, too. Keep in mind that I am a HUGE FAN of peanut butter and will eat it plain by the spoonful - I am very biased lol.

That sounds like fun! There used to be a big boat show that came to Nashville every year, it always seemed to be pretty popular. I hope y’all have a great time

I am having coffee too, although mine isn’t that good. I guess I wasn’t “awake” enough when I made it and it turned out a bit weak. But, I am too lazy to do anything about it so I’m drinking it anyway!

My sympathies for your clearly abusive childhood, no PIZZA??? No APPLE PIE????? No PBJ?!?!?!? :nun:

We did have a couple sun breaks yesterday, one was almost 5 minutes :) Not in the guess for today, though. At least the snow level isn't going to pop up, still around 4K and going to be coming down, so some relief for those in the usual flood plains, with less melt.

Good morning. We're going up to 48 today with sunshine! Yay! A string of gloomy days is depressing although we did see the sun for about 5 minutes yesterday. It was cold, damp and breezy which made it feel colder than the temps indicated it was.

So sorry you didn't win, but think of all the hassle you'd have with your new popularity if you did win...

Yeah, he didn't like many foods when we first got married, but I could always count on giving him a baloney sandwich so meals were easy, but boring. He's come a long way baby! Still won't eat anything that tastes like peanut butter though, or coconut either come to think of it.

I'm with you! Sometimes my lunch is a large tablespoonful of chunky Jif peanut butter.
My tastebuds would revolt trying to eat a spoonful of peanut butter
How would he know?
