Morning, all.

Uh, yeah, more rain, although they claim it's going to start backing off... right.

Seems to be a theme...

Enjoyed the boat show. Boy, boating is an expensive hobby. I liked the boats that had silver glittery sparkles in them. Saw a red sparkly one I like too but my outfits would match the other one better and I would have to add sparkles to my red tooter.

Learned some about boats and met some of his friends. One thing is for sure he is well-liked by everyone. It was a nice day. Even the Hardee's burger he got to bring home was okay. I am just not a big fast food kinda gal. Evidently, he likes them. heehee

I said I would get leaves up when I could only see 2 on the trees. Well, when I look up now, all I see are squirrel nests so I need to do something. I am pretty confident in my ability to procrastinate, so we will see.

It's only 46 degrees and it is windy. I should not dry out the new contacts. See? I can justify anything.

Also to this day I've never had a peanut and jelly sandwich.

Hola .. :)

White classic Wonder Bread just off the truck, so fresh you could squeeze a slice into a tiny ball, a medium generous layer of PB and an equally generous layer of strawberry jam .. wrap it in a paper towel to catch the drips or hold it over a plate ..

They used to make a jar that had both in an attempt to provide better user experience .. it was crap .. don't know if they still make it ..

In a pinch, put a quantity of Saltines on a plate and haul your PB and jam jars to the recliner along with a couple spoons ..

This Christmas Brian's family sent a container of their special cookies. They're Ritz crackers sandwiched with pb and then the whole thing is dipped in chocolate. Sprinkle on a few colorful jimmies and Ta Da! It's a real treat! One relative who received a bucket of them in the mail sent a picture to us of the empty bucket with the comment that he felt like the world was coming to an end.

That hint of salt always ads .. same thing with PB&J on a saltine ..

Keep in mind that I am a HUGE FAN of peanut butter and will eat it plain by the spoonful

Guilty as charged .. usually, just one fairly hefty spoonful ..

If I want some extra flavor in a Wendy's Frosty, it's PB to the rescue ..

I think posting that I was going to procrastinate on the leaf mulching made me want to do it. I hate it when I use reverse psychology on myself without knowing it!
Laughing.gif

It was only the second time I have used the mower. If I did not have 2 1/2 acres to mow, I would go back to a John Deere with a steering wheel so I didn't have to stop just to get my tooter out. Sheesh! I will say the 60-inch zero-turn is sort of fun to drive. I rarely go in reverse so I really don't need zero turn. I also hate I am going to have to go buy diesel fuel soon since it is so high these days.

My friend Terry offered to come over this week and do it for me and I told him "Thank you but I will do it". Wish I could kick my own behind.

What was I thinking? heehee

Rain and getting colder by the minute here. Ugh! Would have been nice if we'd had some snow, but I did have to drive an hour to see my doc so no snow today was a good thing. Seems I've developed neuropathy in my feet. Very weird because it comes and goes. Gonna try some gabapentin and get some blood work done to see what's up. This getting old stuff seems like there's always something new to deal with. At least he didn't tell me I had to get rid of my feet.

We're going out to a family bar/restaurant for dinner tonight. It'll be good to get out and do something fun for dinner and not have to clean up afterward - again!

Hey Willie! Good luck with the lotto, hope you win. That dream vacation may happen sooner than you think!
Janet..I've been taking Gabapentin for about a year cuz I h ave stingy toes after I've been in bed for a short time...it works!!

I've read that being low on vitamin B12 could be causing it. My doc is checking on that with the blood work. Diabetics often have the neuropathy, but I'm not diabetic - at least the last time I checked. So, we'll see what the blood work shows. I'd like to avoid adding this new med to the ones I already take although I have to say it is working and I'm sleeping better with it. I just have to remember to take it after dinner instead of before bed so it wears off by morning. It's not fun waking up late and missing half the morning.

A rainy day here so I am glad I did my mulching yesterday. I made myself go to the gym today since they were not open for 2 days. I had an excellent workout and honestly, I think it helps make my joints more manageable during the rain. I think I would have felt worse if I had just stayed home.

Evidently, judging from the crowd at WallyWorld, a lot of people felt better getting out of the house.

Hope everyone has a wonderful evening.

I am not diabetic either so I was surprised when they told me I had it. I hate being on any prescriptions especially if they have you on something to lessen the symptoms of something else. It looks like to me they should find the cause and not try to cure the symptoms but we all know, cured is not as profitable.

Nothing since I posted earlier! Sheesh! What's everyone doing?

I need to use up stuff in the freezer so tonight I took out one of dad's Stouffer's Salisbury Steak and Mac&Cheese. It was not bad at all. I have liked everything I have tried. Not the healthiest because of the sodium and definitely not good if you are watching what you eat but for a quick meal when you do not feel like cooking, it's great.

I went to WallyWorld today and yes Willie, they still make peanut butter and grape jelly mixed together in the jar. I have never tried it. Guess someone buys it because that came out a long time ago. I prefer strawberry preserves on my PB&J.

Hope everyone is having a nice night.

I just caught up to you! And I was always so proud of not needing to take any meds except for the thyroid one. I had to get 2 of those plastic daily medication pill holders - one for morning and one for night. This is not making my life simpler!

I agree with you about finding the cause so I was quite pleased when my doc said we have to find out why this neuropathy has shown up. It's why he ordered the blood tests.

We're also going to see a new chiropractor today who came highly recommended. Some of them are quacks, but the good ones are amazing so I hope we like him. He's located in the area where we're looking to find a home because I'd like to keep a "crackpractor" close by. I'd love to have my regular doc and my chiropractor next door to each other because I think it makes sense to have them work together.

Morning, lizards.

Might see the sun later today. Or not...

Hola .. :)

What's the skinny on Nicotine Salts and just plain 'ole Nicotine solution .. ??

Haven't used salts, but from what I've read the big "plus" is that salts are "smoother" at high nic levels, as in less throat hit. Me, well, I like a bit of TH, and, after all, have enough freebase in the freezer for the rest of my life, so no interest in getting more :)

Hola .. :)

I use a 7 day / 4 compartments per day holder ..

It's such a hassle to fill it once a week, I wish they made a 2 week style .. I once thought about getting two of them and mounting them together on a thin piece of plywood ..
