Went with some friends to a diner I had never been to before and it was wonderful. Themed like a 50s diner. I ate a huge double burger with everything you can think of on it and I ate every bite and all the fries that came with it.

Bought a Pecan pie to take back to their house and she warmed me a piece and served it with coffee and we had such a good time.

I didn't look at the ticket I signed last night and I looked at it today and I was shocked that the Pecan pie I bought was $19.95. It was just a regular-sized pie. I will say it was delicious and I would have bought it anyway because they were looking forward to it and it was worth every penny to enjoy it with such wonderful friends.

I talked with WildWoman today (Kay). She seems to be doing pretty well and of course, we laughed and laughed. I always do when I talk to her. I had to cut the conversation a little short because I could hear her breathing getting a little worse but it was wonderful talking to her. She is such a hoot.

Morning, all.

Rain continues, and the hope is that all the Easter bonnets are waterproof.

Thanks for the update, good to hear.

Omgosh, have we had rain today? I did not even want to get out of bed this morning. I made myself because going to the gym sometimes helps. I got there and they are closed until next Tuesday. It is really nice that they give their employees time off, I just wish I had seen the note on the door. Totally my fault.

It worked out okay because I really did not feel like it this morning anyway. This afternoon, it was still raining so hard that I could not even get the umbrella out and walk on the driveway. So I, being a tad on the stubborn side

, got my 10,000 steps in the house walking from one end to the other. Yes, I agree, I am not right.

Thank you. I woke up so many times that I lost count so it was not exactly a good night. But at least I did not oversleep and not hear the alarm, since the internet man is coming between 8 and 10. I am up and ready.

Think I am going to deliver the Easter flowers to the graves today instead of Saturday. It is supposed to get up to 81 but cloudy today and chance of rain the rest of the week. Early is better than late. The flowers I got yesterday are not blooming yet so they will be lovely by the weekend. I am not really sure what color they were so I hope it goes well with the color pot they are in. I don't even want to know if they don't match. View attachment 993665

Hope everyone enjoys their day.
Hope you're flowers bloomed by now. Who cares what color the pot is - flowers look beautiful no matter what.
Hola .. :|

We that reside in Fly Over Country, have to really savor the flavor when it comes to rarely seen sky events .. but, sometimes, the tide is right, the Moon phase is good and general weather just seems to come together ..

Last week, after a fairly turbulent storm rolled thru, I got home from the workshop and me and the dog went out the back door to crack a cold one on the deck and partake of some substance.. (no, the dog did not get a beer or any substance, unless she got a contact high) ..

I quickly rushed back in the house and got my actual camera and managed to snag this shot before things began to dissipate .. it was probably around 7:00 PMish ..

Cin cin ..

Looks like another rainy, dark, and gloomy day here. They do say April showers bring May flowers. heehee I wish I had thought to put out my rain gauge yesterday because we had a bunch of rain.

I thought about starting my laundry but I thought I should wait so I have something to do tonight. There is just something wrong with that. I should be on an adventure.

It's been a mixed bag here this morning. On Thurs evening Hux was acting like he had food poisoning. By Friday he spiked a 103 temp but Tylenol seemed to take care of that. The vomiting stopped, but the other end continued. We're having Easter this morning because 3 of us are leaving for Key West or work tomorrow. Poor Hux woke up and immediately had an accident in bed. Got that cleaned up and went downstairs. Brody was running around finding plastic Easter eggs hidden around and Hux just watched from the couch. No fever though. Can you get a fever with food poisoning or are we dealing with a sickness?

Mike and I have pretty much gathered everything for our trip, just have to load it into the suitcases. This time tomorrow we'll be headed to the airport. Woohoo! Key West here we come!!

@Rat2chat2 Thanks for the update on Kay. Glad to hear she's doing well.

Yes, you can, and bless his little heart. I hope he feels better real soon.

Oh, I am so excited for y'all. You will have such a good time and I cannot wait to hear about it and see pics. You always seem to forget something when you go on a trip. You don't have to worry about it because you forgot. . . me.

Have a wonderful and safe trip.

Morning, lizards.

Rain continues, probably at least through Wednesday, if the guessers got it right.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter.

The rain finally stopped here so of course, I went for a walk. I also went to a garden nursery and bought myself some plants for the back porch. I really do not have much of a green thumb although, the African Violet I bought 79 days ago is still living. That's a record for me. I have killed several but I think I was watering them too much. I'm not sure. Maybe my thumb is turning green the older I get. Nope, it's just arthritis.

Morning, all.

No break in the rain here :) Maybe by Wednesday or Thursday.

Iirc, they don't like it in soggy soil, so yeah, maybe :)

I started trimming Boxwood bushes today. Yuck. Not my favorite thing to do. That was always dads job. I am not sure why he had to have them in big balls. I am trying to make them a little bit littler so the top is just little sticks right now but hey, it will grow.

I can't remember how many there are (I do not have that on any list). I think there are 38. I am seriously thinking of typing a rope to every other one and pulling them out of the ground with the truck. heehee That might not be such a smart thing to do. I wonder if I could just cut them all the way back and let them grow in a natural shape. Not sure if it would like them or not. I bet they would pull out of the ground better if they were dead.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful week.
