Morning, all.

Less rain is on the dance card for today, so out deferred town run is back on.

I am not sure why he had to have them in big balls.

Yeah, box balls? Sounds painful... ;)

So, here we are on day 2 of our glorious vacation and wouldn't you know, last night I got sick. Symptoms are like food poisoning. Hux and Brody had it last week, but Mike and I were fine - until yesterday. It was a rough night, but I'm doing much better by noon today. Mike however just told me he was worse. Oh joy. Hopefully he'll get better as the day progresses.

Hola .. :|

As I prep for my month in Tuscany, I am bound and determined to bring nothing but a carry on and the clothes on my back ..
If you wear enough clothes on your back you should be able to do it... I've often thought of doing the same thing, but never seem to manage it. Just make sure you have enough meds to last you the month. Generally though I think people pack way more than they need.

Hola .. :|

I don't plan on wearing anything but my normal clothes .. the medication issue is somewhat confusing, depending on the country .. original bottles, no more than 90 days worth and possibly an actual prescription paper for each one from my DR ..

I plan on taking a duffle, 22 inches long, 14 inches wide and 9 inches high .. no wheels .. the place we plan on staying has washer / dryer .. I can buy whatever else I need ..

Have a Rum Runner or 3 while you're in the Keys .. and be sure and visit Sloppy Joe's if it's still open ..

More power to you for packing so light. Don't think I could do it that small and I already think I pack light.

I'd gladly have a rum runner if I thought my stomach could handle it. i've got gin and tonic fixings waiting for me to have my first one of the year and can't do it. Didn't even get to the Hogs Breath yet. Mike went to bed last night and here we are 24 hours later and he's still not up.

It's pretty overcast here since the afternoon so we couldn't even go see the sunset. Love watching it happen over the water - almost as spectacular as the photo you took.

For you, not me.

The trimming was going along splendidly until I got the trimmer stuck and pull it. The darn thing came apart. I am not even going to tell you how long it took me to figure out how to put it back together again. Seemed to work better after I found the little piece that was hiding in the shavings. I ended up having to google the manual for it and then I watch a YouTube. (I love YouTube) But you know what? I get an "Attagirl" because I put it back together and it appears to work. Tomorrow I will resume trimming.

I had to go get a thyroid test today and I was so happy that it was only $28. I was not sure what it would be without insurance. Hopefully, the new medication has provided normal results. Wouldn't it be nice if there was something "normal" about me?

As you have probably guessed, nope nuttin' normal about me.

Guess I know now why my hands and feet stay cold all the time and why I haven't been able to lose that last 10 pounds. She is doubling the dosage of my thyroid meds and wants to recheck in a month. Since it was a new med for me, I expected it to have to be adjusted but I did not know it was going to be so far off. Oh well, I bet it will be better next month and I am looking forward to having warm feet.

Although the cold hands, warm heart saying is pretty spot on about me.

The sun is back out today in all its glory but I noticed some awfully dirty windows in my newly created happy place. Back porch window washing is going to be my next project after I get all those darn bushes done.

Going to go to the gym and git-r-done so I can get home and see if I really did put that shrub trimmer back together properly.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Mike - Any seaweed sightings?
If you mean the ‘red tide’, no I haven’t seen any of it. But some folks on the airplane mentioned seeing areas of it looking down as we made our landing approach.

Morning, all.

We might see the sun today. Or not. But the claim is the rain is going to back off for a bit, along with cooler temps (already about 10 below norm) for a while. May see some flurries here, but the ground is too warm for any concern.

So, here we are on day 2 of our glorious vacation and wouldn't you know, last night I got sick.

Dang, no way to start a vacation! Hope you both get past that, in a hurry!!

They have to order the meds but maybe they will come in tomorrow. I think it will make a difference.

I had another busy day. Had a good workout and came home and had another good workout by push-mowing the front yard and trimming everywhere. I do not want to have to get close to anything cause I still forget about that darn canopy. I may just take it off. We bought it for Dad because he was fair-skinned and he has always had lots of skin cancers.

Trimmed a couple of bushes, edged the driveway, blew out the gutters (all that pollen), and blew off the driveway. I had a barrel full of twigs and sticks. The wind calmed down enough late afternoon to get that burned up. I was busy as a

Just had my shower and boy did I need it. Now if I can get my hair dried, I will be finished for the day.

Good morning all. Moving in slo-mo this morning but since they are calling for four days of rain starting tonight, I better giddyup on getting the yard mowed. It needs it badly. I sure have enjoyed the sunshine we have been having. At least my windows will not look quite so dirty. See I can find a positive with anything. It's a gift.

Maybe some more sun today. Actually had some nice sun breaks yesterday, and the claim is for more of that today. Still cool, though, about 10 below norm.

I’m so sorry I’m here with bad news. Dan Lamberti, known to us as Uncle, passed away two weeks ago. He didn’t visit the Lounge a lot but most of us have received his wacky birthday wishes. He was mostly attached to the Snails. I had some vaping stuff for him and after I texted him and didn’t hear back I got worried. His sister Susan called me with the bad news. As some of you know he had end-stage kidney disease among other issues and Susan said although they don’t havethe autopsy results yet they think that was mostly the culprit. I’m going to miss him a lot.

His sister said I ould share his obit with everyone.

I liked him from the get go .. he invited me to his place more than once ..

We all get a finite number of days on this World .. Dan maximized his time .. that's the best any of us can do and a great example for anyone of any age .. RIP
