I had another wonderful adventure. Still hard to believe I am getting out on the highway and doing things that are fun. I like it. A lot!

The night before my trip, I am very scared and nervous. Fifty-eleven things are on my mind. It is weird but as soon as I get in the car and turn on my GPS, I am just as calm as can be. Maybe it is the incentive of seeing Daniel but I really think it is just having the freedom to finally do something I want to do. It is awesome.

The old place we stayed (Punderson Manor in Newbury, OH) was beautiful. Would have been exciting to have seen something strange other than me.

Did not see one single ghost. Darn. The only room available, because of a big wedding party, was a handicapped room. There was no way that room had a handicapped shower. I was expecting a huge shower but it was barely big enough for me. I did like the little pull-down seat though.

I had never been to a drag race. It was not as exciting as I had expected but still had a wonderful day. Daniel's trucking company was the owner of the racetrack so I met several of his friends and you know me. . . I talked to everyone. It is so nice to go places with someone that is like me. (well, sort of like me, I take it to another level
    1laugh.gif
    )

I must say the little kid's racing was just the cutest. The 7-year-olds had little miniature bikes that looked just like the big ones. They were going 57 miles an hour and you could see the excitement in their little faces.

The bikes that used that stuff to make them go really fast were interesting and loud. I cannot imagine going from 0 to 208 miles an hour in such a short time. It must be a real rush to them. Of course, I felt the same way on the highway. heehee

I did so many "1st time" things with Dan. It was wonderful. Everything was exciting to me. Even going through my first toll booths was fun. I went through 3 on the way there but Dan changed my route coming back and I didn't have to go through a single one. That was fine with me because they were $4.25 each. heehee Dan got to stay another night because he did not have a load to pick up so we spend the last night in his truck. He has a nice big truck and I was very comfortable. I was glad the bathroom was close.

Seeing my first great lake (Erie) was spectacular. We spent all day on the motorcycle stopping at different places. He would stop just to buy me a homemade root beer. We took short walks because Dan is slow but even that was special. Just think, I have 4 more to look forward to. I'd like to see them all.

I have not been on the back of a motorcycle for 37 years. I was pregnant with my daughter the last time I rode. This time was much more exciting. heehee In Ohio, they do not have a helmet law so that was my first time riding completely free and I loved it. I realize it is more dangerous to ride without one but the feeling of wind on your face was the most free I have ever felt. He has been riding since he was 7 and was an exceptional driver. I felt completely safe and protected. I was pleasantly surprised that I did not get sore or anything. We did get caught in the rain for just a little way but it was not hard enough to hurt thank goodness. He tried to get me back to the hotel before but started but even that was fun.

You would not believe the fantastic food I ate. Dan talked me into eating breakfast every morning which was strange for me but wonderful. I was scared to get on the scales this morning but I only gained 3 pounds. That's nuttin'. He says I need to put on 10 lbs. He's wrong of course.

One of the best parts of my trip was surprising my friend Liz in West Virginia. I knocked on her door and she hollered, "Who is it?". I knocked again and she said it again a little more gruff sounding. As soon as I said "Open the damn door!", she knew exactly who it was. I got her good. It has been 12 years since we saw each other in person. I ended up staying two nights with her and would have stayed longer but I ran out of my medication. I'll take more next time.

I will think of more things to share with you. You had to be expecting a large post from me. Thanks for letting me share.

Here is the first selfie we have taken of us together out of all the times we have met. Just so you know what happy looks like on me. . . I can't believe I am posting a pic of me. That is definitely a new side of me. Remember he is 5 years younger but I don't think I look like I'm robbing the cradle. Not that it really matters to me. heehee

Lost in a sea of boxes all week ... but little by little we're swimming ashore. Frustrating to open a box unpack it and get all the stuff expected in the box but 1 'thing'. Now what box did the packers put that in ... it blind hope it will just miraculously turn up in some other non-related box. The a few things from wall sconces to kitchen knifes to remotes for out 'number bed' still hiding in a box somewhere.

Then on to the surprises with a new house. The A/C stopped working. No problem call the Home Shield Warrenty that we have on the house. Only to find out the fine print says things such as HVAC aren't covered for the 1st 90 days -- they are considered pre-existing conditions. WTF!

It gets worse. Found a reliable and local HVAC service. They diagnosed the problem to some kind of valve needing to be replaced. Only problem is this particular valve is on back order across the whole country. Way to go LENOX - obviously this is a weak link in your HVAC systems if so many have/had to be replaced that there's no stock on hand.

And the odd ... when the HVAC fan is running and I'm sitting in my recliner chair ... it vibrates. What? Yes something is transmitting a vibration through the floor enough so that I feel like I'm sitting in a vibrating chair. Maybe I'll get used to it or maybe it's something I need the HVAC people to correct.

Life goes on or should I say unboxing goes on.

Wishing you and Janet lots of luck. Moving is not fun.

Thank you. I love sharing my excitement with y'all. The only family I have is my aunt and cousin. They just came into my life 4 years ago. My three close girlfriends moved to other cities in NC years ago. It's crazy but I feel the closest to people here that I've never been able to hug.

Eight years ago several here got together and met in Florida. One of my many regrets is that I could not go because I was taking care of my dad who had just had a stroke. I would have loved to have gone. If I remember correctly, they called it the Odyssee Tour. Since I've started driving, I should start my own tour and just go around meeting anyone here that wants to meet me. I could call it the Oddity Tour.

Set up and ready for a Winery gig that starts at 2:30 Central .. in the meantime, although it's a bit early for me, enjoying a nice Zin and a small charcuterie board .. sunny and high 70's, medium humidity .. a quick $275 for 2 hours 'work' .. (well, if you don't count a half hour round trip and another half hour set up and tear down ..)

Home again; home again. Six days in the hospital and come home with a pacemaker/defibrillator. Feeling "wonky; called an ambulance; chedcked into Emergency, and they kept me. Five days later they installed a defibrillator with. some pacemaker functions. It boosts a slow HR, but just records a fast one. If your heart goes nuts, it zaps you. I must have 50 or 60 new holes in my body all healing up at various rates. I must be down a pint with all the blood they drew.

As a side note, does anybody know where I can get plain, black, Delrin drip tips. 0.347" diameter (8.8mm) and a simple narrowing neck.

    More red wine :)

Glad to hear you're on the mend!

Seems most of the sites that popped up are in England.... or out of stock. :(

I am not sure why I am not sound asleep considering all that I accomplished today and some things that I did not.

Once again, I mowed all three yards, trim work, and edging. The only thing I hit today was my aunt's front porch step. Knocked a little piece off. I am going to try to glue it back on but she told me not to worry about it (but I do). I just barely touched it but it was enough.

I got an engine air filter for the Honda CRV. Looked at my YouTube and figured it was easy to change. Did not count on the 5 bolts that hold on the housing being rusted. I found a can of Blaster PB in the garage and sprayed them good. Figured I was making progress. Nope. Still can't budge them. GRRRR I sprayed them again and I will try once more later today. I have not given up yet.

Since I worked so hard in my aunt and her grandson's yard, my cousin brought over Chinese food and paid for it. Maybe it is just me but "free" food tastes better to me.

I ate two huge plates full. So much so that I could not hold the ice cream she brought. I am glad it is not in the house because I'd have a big bowl right now. heehee

The garage door panel outside quit working. It had a screw that was screwable so I opened it up. It had a 9-volt battery in it and I just happened to have one. So I fixed something for a change instead of breaking something. It was a good day.

    Morning, all.

Cool and rainy continues here, and we might make it to the low 60s!

Uh, this is June, isn't it?

Any luck? It's often the case that PB needs some time to soak through, pretty good stuff. And, sometimes, trying to tighten them can help to break them loose.

Any clue on how long a wait?
Won’t know until Monday. The valve is included with a complete coil set (I only need the valve) and they’ve been ‘robbing’ those sets for the valve. The tech wasn’t sure if they had any complete sets left and if they did would the service manger OK robbing yet another coil package.

Yeow! That must have been some ordeal to go threw.

Dang - I likely threw some like that away when we were getting rid of stuff to prepare putting everything in storage while we house hunted.
