Hola .. :|

I use an old stand up air filter with no filters installed ..

There are also white noise generators on line as well as YouTube long length video / audio with rain, storms, etc .. although, for best fidelity, playing thru at least a cheap set of computer speakers is generally best ..

When our grandsons were babies we used to put an old radio in their room and turned it on to just static. Worked great - and it was free too.

Very nice Willie.

Yep, I was told to never keep quiet around a baby and it would help them sleep through anything. My ex-grandfather loaned up a wooden cradle and I sat it beside the tv. Later on, they could be napping on the floor and I could literally vacuum around them and they would not wake up. My babies always sleep wonderfully. I love happy memories.

Well, I said I would not do it again but. . . I did it again. Mowed all three yards and an acre field. It is supposed to rain and as hot as it was today, I did not think my aunt should get out there mowing.

Instead of doing all the trim work first, I got out the Exmark and was amazed at how well I have gotten with it. I had very little trim work to do and again, no accidents. Still only took 3 hours.

I skipped mowing outside the fence on the street (which I do all 3 houses). My friend called and asked if I wanted to meet her and her hubby for supper and you know I'm not going to turn down eating. Went to Logan's Roadhouse and had a pretty tasty steak and some darn good rolls with cinnamon butter.

I brought the baked spud home to eat tomorrow night.

After supper, Sharon said she had made a German Chocolate cake and said if I want to come down I was welcome. Well, I'm not going to turn down cake either. It was delicious. She only lives 23 miles away. I can just GPS myself anywhere and it is the closest thing to a Friday night date I've had lately.

Kenny was telling me about a new S&W 9mm called the Equalizer. He had just ordered one from his friend that owns a shop. He is a huge gunman (and an ex-competitive sharpshooter) so I took his recommendation and had him call the man to order me one too. I was planning on buying me something nice for my divorce present in September anyway. I celebrated early this year. Should be in sometime next week. I cannot wait. I will be going to the shooting range as soon as I get it. I better go, my membership expires in December and I doubt I renew it. I just mainly wanted to get the feel of shooting. I still can't hit the X that I am aiming for but all my shots are dead center in the man's chest so I'm okay with that.

I was pondering what to take to a get together this weekend and found a recipe for cannoli dip. Brilliant! Delicious! Never heard of it before.

Beat together a 14 oz container of ricotta cheese (full fat or it'll be a bit runny) , 8 oz of cream cheese. Add 1-1/2 C powdered sugar and 1 tsp vanilla. You can add 1 Cup of mini chocolate chips optional.

Get a couple packages of the waffle ice cream cones, break them up in pieces to use to scoop up the dip. And the crumbs - put some dip in a small dish and sprinkle the waffle crumbs on top and eat it with a spoon! Might be a nice dessert to serve layered in a wine glass for company.

I actually think the dip tasted better the next day so its a good dish that can be made ahead.

Thank you, you all do mean so much to me. I will check in when I can.

Cathy ;

Know this .. whether you continue to vape or not, really means zero on your contributions to the thread ..

Over the years, I, for one, was always interested in hearing about your Journey .. the dog shows, your pride in your furry family members, the extended road trips, all of it ..

You even made a nice video during the Pandemic ..

I don't think your Journey is over, so keep us in mind when you're browsing around the Web ..

I extend that same thought to any that have decided, for one reason or another, to move on ..

'You're all invited back anytime to this locality
To have a heapin helpin of our hospitality

Set a spell, Take your shoes off.

Y'all come back now, y'hear?'

I am not sleep worth a darn (what's new) but the coffee is exceptionally good this morning so I am hoping for a better day.

I am going out to eat with my aunt and cousin tonight and my taste buds are already getting excited.

I enjoy my outing last night at my fav restaurant. I did not do too awfully bad. I had never gotten there Buffalo Shrimp salad. It was delicious and I could not believe how much shrimp they put on top of it. Darn. I can't believe I did not take a picture and post it here.

I got the medium buffalo strength but it was so good that I think I will try the next level which is hot next time. Sure made me want to make a batch of my Buffalo Chicken Dip that everyone goes crazy when I make it.

We had a big and quick storm yesterday afternoon and I got almost 3 inches of rain in a short amount of time. A rain that hard does not do as good as a slow, soaking rain but we needed it. Especially since I lowered the deck on the mower and mowed the grass so short.

I finally got some sleep last night. 6 1/2 hours and it was wonderful. I did not even take anything. Guess I probably needed it. Whatever the reason, I feel better this morning even though it is still cloudy. Think I will go ahead and go to the gym before I talk myself out of it. heehee

Hope everyone has a great start to your week. Friday will be here before we know it. At least they go by that fast for me.

Say you seem to always be looking for a new adventure ... how about spending a night like this?
I am not that adventurous yet. Just looking at those pictures made my stomach feel weird.

I probably couldn't walk on the treadmill at the gym if I did not know there were handrails nearby if I needed them. Have you ever been up that high?

Hola .. :|

In my younger days, I have to say, I was quite the mountaineer .. never slept in a perch like that, but have climbed similar 'rocks' ..

Back in the 'old days', Yosemite was not nearly the attraction it is today .. back then, you could hit it and practically be the only people there .. now a days, I believe I read where they shut it down after so many enter for the day .. and, back then, I believe it was free, if memory serves ..
