Bea, I'm so sorry I haven't responded to your post! I thought I did, honest! That was a very good article. I wish you didn't have the hypertension, but it's good to know at least it's manageable. You're right though, it will be a new normal. Doesn't mean you can't do the things you love to do, just take things a lot slower with lots of rest breaks. Meanwhile I'll keep up the prayers and sending good vibes your way.Had my specialist appt on Thursday. Apparently the echo revealed that in addition to the mild COPD I have something called pulmonary hypertension. Not terribly rare but pretty serious. It cannot be stopped or reversed but with medication the doc said I’ll “feel better”. Well managed it won’t affect my life length. The reality of course is that my level of activity will not be possible.

When the man told me it had come in and I could pick it up Monday, I asked him when they opened and I would be there. When I got to the store which was supposed to open at 7:30, there were people inside but they did not unlock the door until 7:41. That had me slightly perturbed. Then I go in and they tell me the man that called me does not come in until 9 and he was the only one that could give it to me. GRRRR
Since it was almost 20 miles over there, I and the dog sat out in the car for an hour and a half. I did take her to use their grass. When 9 came, he was there and I asked why he did not tell me he would not be in until 9 and do you know what he said? He said you just asked me what time we opened. You know I rolled my eyes and told him, "I remember now why I do not like most men". He just laughed and I got over my snit as soon as he handed me my new gun. BTW, it conceals nicely in my bra even with the weight loss.

I wanted to laugh at Mike's reply, but it's too serious. That little gun sure is cute. I'm sure it'll be a whole different experience that what you're used to.
