Good morning all. I had a hectic weekend but it was lovely. Once again I ate too much for supper. I have got to make someone share with me or get that togo box first.
Applebee's was very good although I thought about Dad. They still do not serve bread with an expensive steak dinner. Dad refused to go back there after he had to eat a meal without bread.
My cousin and her friend were going to Rooms To Go after supper to get some decorating ideas. I just want to get rid of stuff not decorate so I left and went back to the bar I have been going to. They have live bands there and I love to watch and listen. I have made some friends and they are always there on the weekend so I don't really feel like I am going by myself.
Three weeks ago I spent time talking to a very nice man there but I would not give him my phone number. I did take his but I never called. Well, he was so happy to see me. He had been there the last two weekends and a couple of nights during the week after he got off work. He said he kept coming back hoping I would be there. That is sort of sweet.
He took a napkin and turned around. I tried to see what he was doing but he told me to sit down and be patient. He turned around and he had made a rose out of that napkin and said he wanted to give it to the most beautiful girl there. I know that is sappy but I happen to appreciate sappy.
I love finding out about other people's lives. He is here for at least 6 months and he said maybe longer. He is doing something at the huge new Toyota plant that they are building here. The good thing is he is a hard worker but the bad thing is he works 60 and 70 hours a week.
He tried to take me to Waffle House really late because it was just down the street. I thought there were open 24 hours and they were but evidently, after a certain time you cannot go in a sit down to eat. He said we were not going to stand outside so I told him I was not going to eat anything anyway so he did not eat. I feel sort of bad because I heard his stomach growl.
We stayed and talk a long time and when I was getting ready to leave, it was just me and him there and a truck pulled up and was asking him where something was. I did not know if there was going to be anything bad happening (you never know) so I got my new little gun out of my pocketbook and had it ready. When they left and he found out I had got my gun out, he said he was quite impressed with me. And that is the reason why I do not drink at bars.
Well anyway, I ended up going to the house where he is renting. It was right on this big golf course. There was an actual hole right behind us. I have never stepped foot on a golf course so he asked me to go walking. Gotta love a man that likes to walk and look at the stars. And something else I liked about him was his Pop called (his dad). I was going to go away to give him privacy but he told me not to. So of course, I listen. heehee He sends his dad, who is 89 some money every week. I guess just to help him out but I thought that was sweet.
He is a Moose in TN so there are several Moose lodges here. He took me to eat there last night and it was very good and the people there were so nice. They all seemed to love Ken (he evidently eats there every night) and they told me they were not going to let him go back home. heehee That says a lot about someone also. I think he is a good guy.
I was honest with him too. I told him I was not looking for a relationship so he better not get attached. heehee He said he understood. I hope so. Dan sure did not get the memo. He was just a little disappointed that I still would not give him my phone number. He asked me why and I told him if I liked him but if I discovered he was a weirdo, I could go away and he could not find me. He laughed and said, "Good enough". Who knows? I might surprise him at the Moose Lodge one night. I think it would be safe because the waitress said I was the first girl he had brought there.
My cousin is going to loan me her motorcycle helmet and I may go riding with Ken. I told him I would one day but it would have to be during the day or a night that he had not had a beer. So far he has only drank a couple of beers around me which is fine. Heck, if I worked as long a day as him, I might start drinking too.
Well, that was my exciting weekend. It really was nice. Please let me know if my shenanigans are boring you and if you would rather I did not write about them. It will not hurt my feelings. Like I said before, I just like sharing with someone because I've never had anyone to tell things to.
