Morning, all.

No rain here continues, despite the guesses - and rain elsewhere. At least the temp has been playing nice, a bit below norm :)

Ah, you youngsters are so picky!

Nah, just trying for more cake :)

Sure has been a quiet day around here.

Felt good to get back to the gym after skipping two days. My knee enjoyed the rest.

I even fell asleep rocking this afternoon. Woke up and it was time for supper. I never take naps. Guess I was tired from my weekend.

Paid 50 cents for an ear of corn at the grocery store today. My gosh, when it is plentiful it is usually 5 for $1. I have evidently been on a corn kick lately and I enjoyed every kernel.

Hope everyone has a good night and a great Tuesday.

Corn? How 'bout peaches. The last two stores I checked out had none. A week or so ago, the did, but I've seen walnuts as big - and not much tougher.

Morning, loungers.

Still no rain, still claiming it's coming. Tomorrow. Which, of course, never arrives, since it's always today. Convenient, for them, since that way it doesn't affect their "accuracy."

But not in 2023. In fact, you can probably expect less than 10 percent of the average crop this year. Extreme weather conditions, namely a warm winter and two frosts in March, almost entirely decimated Georgia’s peaches.

And I suspect other crops will be affected as well, all across the world.

Guess I was tired from my weekend.

I bought some new socks the other day, made by a relatively well known outfit .. the name reminded me of these, if anyone remembers this craze ::

And, oddly enough, you can, apparently still buy these things, along with your clip on tie ..

I have not been looking for them but the cookout I went to this weekend had the biggest nectarines I had ever seen. It was so good. Maybe because my friend got his knife out and sliced it for me. Pretty nice even though it was more than likely just what my cousin has explained is "dating behavior". She says they always try to do things like that at first and then they change. I like it so if they do change. . . I will too.

I did not know you could still get them. My mom wore them for some reason. I was cleaning out a drawer just last week and took my cousin (who wears them also) a big stack of them. I have never been able to have anything tight around my neck. I also didn't know men wore them.

Went to Denny's with my aunt and cousin tonight. It was good. They got breakfast. I thought I might need some red meat so I had a hamburger. I am not sure why but my cousin bought my supper. I do appreciate it but I would rather her not. Now I feel like I need to do something for her.

I have taken naps two days in a row and am feeling tired again. Don't think it is from my busy weekend. I think my iron is low again. No biggie. It does this and I am supposed to take a supplement but I don't like taking them. The burger was really good but again. . . I should have split it with someone or brought half home. I say that just about every time I go out to eat. It looks like I would do it instead of coming home feeling bad. I have no willpower.

(unless I stay at home and I do good). Go figure.

Usually, my weeks go by so fast but now that I want to see Ken this weekend, the week is moving in slo-mo. I haven't felt that way since I was working. grrrr

The only thing I accomplished today was going to the gym. I also walked with my aunt after supper. I probably needed 16,000 steps today to help with that big burger. heehee

Hope everyone sleeps well and has a wonderful day.

Good morning all. I enjoyed my coffee this morning listening to some Tyler Childers and Zach Bryan. I love easing into the day.

Going to get stuff done this morning and I cannot wait until the weekend so I am going to show up at Ken's house again tonight. Last time I will show up uninvited because I have decided it is time to give him my number. Not sure about inviting him to the house yet but probably will after my trip to Tennessee. I know it is silly but I am trying to be cautious.

Hope everyone has a great day. Morning hugs to you all.

Remember the dickey? I actually bought a couple last year, because the shirts I wear all the time are so stretched out, my neck was getting cold. I thought a dickey would be less fuss than a scarf.
