Morning, lizards.

Once again the promised rain didn't. Not here, anyway. And even rumors of it are gone, now, for at least a couple weeks.

And, oddly enough, you can, apparently still buy these things, along with your clip on tie ..

For those who couldn't afford the whole turtleneck tee.

I have never been able to have anything tight around my neck. I also didn't know men wore them.

Not this one! Don't like ties, either, don't feel a need to wear a noose!!

Nothing like turning up 3-1/2 hours early for a haircut appointment. Last week I'd asked for a 10:30 appt since I was going to be in the neighborhood. While waiting for my daughter to get back to me to confirm the day, my appointment got taken and we shifted my time to 1:30 - but I forgot that part. I'm at my daughter's house now and my plan was to get the haircut at 10:30 and then take the boys for lunch at the "fancy" diner. (They think it's fancy because the building is silver,) So, we came back home for an hour and then we'll go for lunch and then we'll head back for the haircut. Sheesh.

Had a very nice night. Surprised my friend again. He was putting brakes on his truck and ran into problems. Worked out good that I showed up. Took him to get parts.

He was going to take his motorcycle to work but they were calling for 80% chance of rain so I offered him my truck. I have never done that before but I think it will be fine. He turned me down at first and could not believe I offered but I guess he thought about the rain and accepted my offer the second time.

Ended up having a sleepover and I got up at 3:30 to fix him a big breakfast. Just veggie omelet, hashbrowns, red eye gravy grits (my fav), and toast. He was impressed considering I did not eat. It was fun but I know I do not want to make it a habit.

heehee I did enjoy having coffee with someone. It was nice.

I know I post too much. Sorry. I was used to posting about my dad so I guess I just keep on with my escapades. Oh well, it is what it is.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day. I'm not sure what I am going to do. It is supposed to rain this morning and it is dark and cloudy. Might just go crawl back in bed. heehee

Hugs to all.

Morning, loungers.

We did wind up with some sky water, the deluge here coming in at 0.07". Better than none, but still just a tease... Nothing on the guess for as far as they risk guessing.

No, you don't :) Fun to guess what your next escapade will be :)

Remind me not to take a 4 year old to lunch at a diner. At least not this 4 year old. People must have thought I'd fed him coffee for breakfast. His energy level is impressive, but at least it was happy energy, He would have been climbing around on top of the table if he thought he could get away with it.

To make matters worse, both boys wanted chocolate chip pancakes. The waitress asked if I wanted to order 1, 2 or 3 pancakes so I opted for 2. Holy moly! Turns out they were the size of dinner plates! So, of course we left the diner all sugared up and headed over for my haircut.

Our daughter joined the local swim club and last night was Float Night when the patrons could bring their pool floats. They all had a blast. My favorite one was the sloth - plenty big enough for an adult to use. I set myself up at one of the tables and watched the Phillies game on my phone in between socializing. The grills were fired up and everyone stuffed themselves with great picnic food, A very nice by product of a busy day was that the boys were asleep almost before their heads hit the pillow.

Not sure what's on tap for today, but it's only 77 degrees and very overcast. Hope the storms hold off because we had a really gully washer 3 nights ago. We actually had a tornado watch.

Wonder what will happen in TN. That is my next adventure. I leave Tuesday and will return Sunday. We have only been talking/dating for a month and he wants me to meet his father, uncle, daughter, and grandchild. That seems sort of fast to me but what do I know? I know I will have a good time.

We had a small thunderstorm and a good shower this morning. At least I did not have to water my tomato plants. I am so glad he borrowed my truck instead of taking the motorcycle. Nothing worse than being soggy all day.

I finally made it to the gym (took most of the morning to talk myself into going) but I had a great workout and then hit WallyWorld again. Found some cute short bib overalls. I love looking at the clearance rack.
