Since Ken was working on his brakes tonight after work and did not have much time to devote to moi, I told him we would just get together tomorrow. Worked out well because I got the trim work, edging, and weed-eating done. Now I can do the riding part before I leave town. I groomed for nothing but now I have another day to be excited about going out. I can always find a positive.

Good morning all. Awakened at 5 this morning for some ungodly reason. Tried to go back to sleep but kept thinking that coffee sure would be good so here I am.

Hope everyone has a great Saturday. I am going to do a little bit of shopping and then get ready for tonight. I hope we go to the Moose Lodge again. I really like that place. They said if I joined I would be a "Women of the Moose" member. I told them I'd rather be a Moosette.

    Morning, all.

Temp said to be going up a bit every day, for a while. But nice overnight cooling, so we can keep the inside temp habitable. No rain, of course.

Washing my truck always works for me. View attachment 999686 Good thing because I can't dance.

That's something I've also said, for years. But I think it has to reach some "critical mass" of washed cars / trucks, to trigger the rain. Seems just mine isn't enough.

I told them I'd rather be a Moosette.

    Why not a Moosketeer?

    Morning, loungers.

Still dry here, and they insist on turning the thermostat up. Daily. Until Thursday, is the guess, then back down the the mid 80s...

At least, now late in the season, watering is mostly down to shrubbery, most (but not yet all!) the blooms are past their prime. So a little less hose time needed.

Darn. Why didn't I think of that one? I'm probably going to borrow it. heehee

Feel free, although you may want to ditch the antlers if you're looking for a guy ;)

Good, beautiful morning everyone. The sun is shining and 68 degrees going up to 86.

Yesterday I went out to fell the huge stalks of fennel growing in one of the flower beds. Turns out there were all kinds of bees and a few butterflies on the flower stalks so I decided to leave the other stalks alone for now, but I have to find our string to tie them up. Maybe this stuff isn't fennel, but not sure what else it could be. Sure would be nice to walk the yard with the previous owner so he could tell me what he has growing around here.

Our cars in the driveway would get covered with sap from 2 HUGE Tulip trees growing on either side of the driveway. Just read about those trees and advice was not to plant them next to a driveway... Thought about having them cut down but I bet they're 90 ft tall. I hate to cut down perfectly healthy trees, but more than that it would be stupid expensive. We may have to look into some kind of carport. Yeah, yeah I know, park in the garage. But once we get the boxes etc. out of there we'll still only be able to fit 1 car in it. Might have to park the other car out on the street. The sap isn't too bad now, but geez louise, in the Spring it's awful.

Guess it's too early for our Mooseketer to check in from the weekend ;)
Sorry, I have been busy. The Mooseketeer had an awesome weekend. I have lived here all my life and I had no idea there was so much activity downtown at night. I don't think I would want to go alone but I felt pretty safe. Ate downtown for the first time.

Sunday, he took me to listen to a band in a nearby city. I rode his motorcycle for the first time. First of all, it does not have a seat for a passenger so I was sitting on the fender. It was an extremely hard fender too. Might not have bothered me before I lost 75 pounds. The tookus could have used a little bit of padding.
    1laugh.gif
He says he is going to get some kind of suction cup pad for me. A backrest wouldn't be a bad idea either. It really was better than what I was expecting. I did not mind holding on tightly at all.

Hey Rat, here's a way you could get your 10,000 steps in pretty quickly I'll bet.
How do you know that's not how I do it? bahahahaha
    1laugh.gif
Well, to be honest, just watching that made my knees hurt and a few other places too.

Had a busy day today. So glad I got the yard work done today since I am leaving tomorrow. It would have been awful by the time I got back Sunday. Once again, I did not hit anything. heehee And I must say my lines are looking pretty darn professional.

I have already started my overpacking for this adventure. I say I am not going to take so much every time I go off. I have not been successful yet. I just about need a separate bag for my vape stuff and shoes.
    1laugh.gif
Gotta pack my riding stuff too because he has another motorcycle there. He says it is for touring so that literally makes my tookus happy.

I will try to use my phone to post since I am going to be gone til Sunday but never had much luck with it. This will be my longest trip (so far) so I am going to miss y'all. I hope this one still likes me after having so much "together" time. This will tell what he is made of and if he is up for the challenge.

If you knew me a little better, you'd know every day is an adventure for me. Considering what I post, you probably do know me pretty well.

I was too excited to sleep. I wish we were leaving first thing in the morning. Not sure why he wanted to leave after work tonight. I am just hoping I don't fall asleep and snore while he is driving.

I know I am getting too excited about my little adventures but it is exciting to me because honestly, I have never done very much. I am definitely a "late bloomer".

    Morning, all.

Only weather change hes is the temp still going up. Although the claim is, still, that it will start to back off on/after Thursday. That would be good. No rain in any guess.

Well, I am packed and ready for practically anything. I downsized as best I could and I have it down to one huge and one medium duffel bag. And of course, I am taking my own pillow. I go nowhere without my MyPillow.

He does not get off work until 5:30 so I have the rest of the day to think of something else I need.
    1laugh.gif

I offered him to take my Honda because I am nice but mostly because it gets better gas mileage and I was trying to save him money. He politely declined and couldn't believe I would offer. He has yet to discover how "unique" I am. heehee Works out well though, he drives a truck and it will hold my traveling necessities.

@Rat2chat2 Have a wonderful trip! Can't wait to hear all about it when you get back. Maybe someone will show you how to do the shuffle dance and you can come back with a video to show us!!!

We're up to 87 here today with clouds and sun. Possible rain tonight, but we'll see.

Last night my neighbor sent me a text that she took the dog out and noticed that our garage door wasn't closed. Prob won't tell her that I didn't get the text until this morning... Actually, I checked before we went to bed and closed it, but it's nice to know we've got a nice neighbor looking out for us.

Made a grocery run today at my favorite store, Wegman's. How nice to see that one is located only 8 minutes away from our new house. It's got a great pharmacy too. So, I spent too much as usual, but I've got a good excuse - I need to stock up at the new house.

Our son and his family went camping for the week so we're "fish sitting" while they're gone. Gotta run over there shortly and do that.

That's the extent of my exciting day.
