I'm still dealing with the probate court for my brother.
Bless your heart. Hopefully, the end is in sight for you. It is going on 9 months and I am still dealing with my dad. At least you are not paying a lawyer a lot of money to stress you out like I am. Grrrr

I did not want to come home but it is good to be back here. I missed all of y'all.

Yes, I had a wonderful time and what I saw of Tennessee was beautiful. I hope to see more next trip. I am 99.9% sure he will ask me to accompany him again. Especially since he was disappointed that I did not meet his family.

The man sure has a lot of friends. He took me to 2 bars and several restaurants and they all called him by name and was surprised he had a girl with him. I think he is telling me the truth about he has been alone for a while.

We stayed where he parks his camper. The sweetest older couple and they had a magnificent place. Fifteen acres on the Duck River. We stayed in a two-story house that was called The Diner of the Duck. They had an apartment fixed up like a 50's diner. It even had a jukebox and a milkshake machine. I think they rent it out from time to time.

They had a cat named Fluffy and a guinea that followed her around everywhere she went. It was so cute. The cat liked me a lot but the bird only got a few feet away.

Mr and Mrs Rochelle, treated Ken like he was their son. Ken does a lot of stuff to help them out. I think he was surprised that I wanted to help him and worked as hard as he did. He put me on a huge tractor and I mowed a big field. Then I weeded around their house. I am a mad woman with a weedeater.

He said, "Woman, you are amazing." He has no idea what all my dad had me do. He ain't seen nuttin' yet. heehee

He has a motorcycle here and up there. It takes a real man to drive a pink motorcycle. It was the color that I would probably have if I had one. This one at least had a seat but let me tell you there was not much cushion to it. I went on my first charity motorcycle ride Saturday. I have never ridden that far on a motorcycle and especially one that vibrated as strongly. I am not sure how long it is going to take to get feeling back down there. It has been numb for two days now.

StinkiePinkie.jpg That bikes name is Stinkie Pinkie. That is what he and all his friends called it.

He took me through Nashville and wanted me to be able to walk around on Broadway. The parking deck wanted $45 dollars and there is no way I wanted him to waste that much so I told him no. He did ride around and pointed out things to me and it was just as good (if not better) than walking around. He was quite the little tour guide. Knew trivia and history on all the places we went.

I really had a nice time and there were so many 1st for me. I love 1st times. I feel even better about him after meeting his friends. They all told me what a heck of a guy he was. I just think I have read too many biker books and he is sort of a fantasy man. heehee I know one thing. Everywhere we went, everyone knew I was with him. He was quite touchy. I liked it a lot.

Well, that was my Tennessee adventure and I am ready for the next one. heehee I need to hit the gym because I ate good but I can rid myself of those 3 pounds in no time at all. It was worth it.

Happy Monday (if there is such a thing) heehee. Have a great day.

Morning, all.

At least the smoke kept the temp down... and is said to start blowing east later today. No rain, of course.

They had an apartment fixed up like a 50's diner. It even had a jukebox and a milkshake machine.

And, hopefully, a bed? ;)

Maybe you can get him to put a new, padded seat on one of them?

You were an hour from me and I didn't see you wave lol.
Omgosh, if I had known you were that close, I would have done more than waved.

I will tell you right now that something is going to have to be done or this o'l girl will not turn into a biker chick.

I did try on some really sexy black knee boots while I was in TN. The only reason they did not come home with me was because they did not have my size. I tried to squeeze into the smaller size but I am smarter than I look. (at times)

All I wanted to do was relax and rest up from my adventure yesterday but NO I worked my backside off. A huge tree limb from my neighbor's woods fell over my fence. Guess who used a chainsaw without a trip to the emergency room?
1laugh.gif

Drug all the heavy branches to my aunt's brush pile which is NOT close by. I do that so I do not have to make so many trips. See? Sometimes I am smarter than I look. heehee I have another little brush pile to burn. Now I just have the biggest part of the limb that is caught on a tree. I can't saw it in pieces without probably hurting myself. If I tie a rope to it, it is going to fall on the chain link fence so I have not decided the best course of action. My newest "friend" told me he would come over and take care of it. I am not always smart because I told if I could not get it down, I would let him know. Why am I so stubborn that I think I have to do everything by myself? Wanna know why? Because that is the way it has always been for me.
RatYes.gif

As if that was not enough for the day, since I was already sweaty and scratched up, I decided to do the trim work around the house, under a tower, and down the street outside the fence. It worked out good because my push mower is set really low so when I mow the end of the week, it should be about right. There is always a method to my madness or maybe just a madness to my method.

Morning, lizards.

Still no rain, but the temp has been playing nice, at least. We might (probably not) get some light showers from the remnants of Hilary, but it looks like most (all) of that will be east of the Cascades. If it helps with the fires that side, I'll be ok with watering.

I will tell you right now that something is going to have to be done or this o'l girl will not turn into a biker chick.

Yeah, riding on a steel fender is no fun! :w00t:

Well, I worked even harder today. I did finally get the top of the limb that was stuck on another branch. I almost thought I was going to have to take Ken up on his offer to get it down for me. But I did it. Was already dirty so I cut down a big dogwood tree in the front yard. It had a few dead limbs and just did not look good to me so, it is gone. I go wild with a chainsaw.

Now, I just have to find time to burn the brush pile down at my aunts. beushpile.jpg I did darn good!

I must really like my new friend. I invited him over for a steak dinner Saturday or whatever he wanted. He wants spaghetti which is fine with me. I hope I still remember how to cook.

I think I will fix him a strawberry shortcake too. I haven't had one this summer. I haven't been home long enough to make one. Isn't it wonderful?

Morning, loungers.

More dry here, seems all of Hilary's remnants went east of the Cascades, but did help on the fires over there, so not complaining.

But the low that was said to spin through last night, with rain after midnight? That went elsewhere as well, if it went at all.,.

At least the temp is still nice, although heading back to the low 80s for a bit.

I go wild with a chainsaw.

I do hope you wear chaps. I didn't, for years, until we had a safety session on the job about chain saw injuries. The gashes were bad enough, but the needed cleanup of the oil and chips looked worse. Might as well use a wire brush to clean the wound.

I need a couple trees cut down. Think you could talk your friend into a trip back East. I can supply the chainsaw. ;)

My t-shirt hung down over my shorts if that tells you anything. But you are right. Things can happen even when you are trying to be so cautious. I wouldn't mind having some chaps though. It would look good on the bike but would not help my issue since there is no .....

Next time I use the chainsaw, I will try to put on some thick blue jeans at least.

(I prefer not to have to use it) heehee

I would be glad too but Janet has to cook for me.
