After I fixed breakfast for Ken (I know I shouldn't get that started but I enjoy it), I tucked myself back into bed with the heating pad. I am not sure if it helps but it feels comforting.

It was definitely a lazy day. Because I was not feeling well, Ken wanted a quesadilla from the Box Seat. A little sports bar right up the road. It was hopping with people I guess because of football games. He did not want to split so we each ended up brining half of each of ours home. He admitted we could have split but that is okay. Lunch is in the fridge. That is not a bad thing.

Ken wanted to watch a movie (which is something I rarely do) and he picked out Dirty Grandpa with Robert DeNiro and Zach Efron. Boy did he grow up to be rather hunky.

Anyway, it was so funny and we both laughed all the way through it. It was a good night. He is watching another movie with Sylvester Stallone and I am all tv'd out. Looks like I am going to have to get back into watching it. I used to watch a lot but just have not had time since Dad passed. I would rather listen to music myself but it was sort of nice to watch it with someone.

I can't believe it is time for Monday already. Boy, what a fast weekend. Hope everyone eases into the week and gets Monday over with.

I just took 2 Benadryl. The poison oak is starting to dry up so maybe it will not wake me up tonight. I sure do hate it when I get it.

Night everyone. Sweet, sweet dreams to all.

Good morning my wonderful little vaping family! Where is everyone? The Rat is feeling a tiny bit lonely here although I will keep posting even if it's just me.

I've always enjoyed my own company. heehee

Slept quite soundly again. I think I might keep taking the Benadryl even when the poison oak is gone. I so envy people that fall asleep as soon as their head hits the pillow. I have only done that after being up for 2 days straight.

No exciting plans for this week so far but I am optimistic. I have had enough rain for a while. Not calling for rain until the weekend and I sure hope that forecast changes too. It rained and misted all day yesterday. The grass enjoyed it much more than I did.

Hope you have a great day.

Good morning, I have been up since 3:30. Yuck
Bless your heart. I have noticed that you have been waking up early for a while. That is what I am used to so it has been nice to be sleeping a little better. Hope you will soon too.

Yesterday our apple picking with the family was great. It was sunny and 75 with a lovely cool breeze. Got lots of apples! Trouble is, once they're in the bag I have no idea which ones are which. Oh well, they still taste great. The rain held off until we were in the cars headed home so the timing was perfect.

Afterward we went to the local "Creamery" which is a bar restaurant with tons of lovely outside seating. We stuffed ourselves and the boys nibbled in between between running around like lunatics. They had such a good time! I had a spicy margarita and just barely made it home to crash on the couch for a nice nap. Geez, I've turned into a very cheap date!

Today I'm headed to our daughter's house to watch the boys while Kate and our daughter-in-law go to a concert with their cousins. I'll spend the night and be home tomorrow. Looking forward to some time with "our boys".

I had a wonderful day. We had to pick up a key at the Harley dealership where I bought the bike. We rode around everywhere and you could not have asked for better weather. That bike has a very good stereo system which made the ride even better. Of course, the comfy seat made the ride enjoyable. I vaped all over town.

Not sure why I am still awake. We went to bed but I just kept laying there so I decided to get up and work on my jigsaw puzzle. I am starting to yawn so I better go quickly.

Happy Tuesday!

My aunt got a cat from her daughter's friend last December. Cute and sweet older cat. Tiny. Just 4 lbs. It has always sneezed a lot but never appeared to be sick. Ate good and acted right.

Her grandson talked her into taking it to the vet who gave it an antibiotic shot that was going to last 14 days. For whatever reason, the cat got sick after the shot and stopped eating and passed away. My aunt was so upset.

It passed away on the same day my dad did. I went down there to see how she was doing. I was so mad. Neither of her daughters had come over there. She still had the cat in the garage. So you know what I did. I dug a hole, said some nice words and moved some huge rocks to cover it. My aunt was so sweet and loved the little rock monument I created. I actually did that so nothing would dig it up but it did look rather nice.

When I got home Ken hugged me and said I should have called him so he could have dug the hole for her. I thought that was pretty sweet. I am just not used to having anyone around that will help me. or who wants to help me. That is going to take a little getting used to for me. I have always just handled everything the best I could all by myself. It is pretty nice though.

Sorry. Enough sad for now. Like always. . . it is what it is. I have no plans for today. Ken said the grass was already needing to be mowed. It has grown a lot from the rain. I think he just likes driving my mower. View attachment 1001247 Must be a man thing. I will not ask him to but if he wants to this o'l girl is going to let him. My new goal is to let people help when they want to.

Middle of the week. Gonna be the weekend in no time at all. Hope everyone has a great day.

Morning, all.

Well, the 5 raindrops I heard on the skylight seems to all we'll get... and they have the nerve to call that "rain."

For whatever reason, the cat got sick after the shot and stopped eating and passed away. My aunt was so upset.

Carp. Why did the vet dispense an anti-biotic to a healthy cat?? And why didn't the (not-so)grand son not take care of the burial? (Oh, yeah, might mess up his watching you mow the lawn...)

Good morning …

I thought the same exact thing! I also thought one of her two daughters could have come over too. Oh well, I try not to get upset over things that I really have no control over. I am just glad her daughter texted me and I went down there. I was out running around yesterday but I will check on my aunt today.

I have been wanting a pressure washer since I borrowed my friend. I have seen several things I could use it on. Ken and I went to a couple of pawn shops yesterday after we went to Home Depot and Lowes and found out how much they cost. I checked Sam's and Costco first and they were high there too. Oh well, I did find one that looked almost brand new. It was still $200 (tax and everything). I may go back today and get it. I am still pondering the thought. It is not something I have to have. But it would be nice.

It was a gorgeous day to ride the bike yesterday. I wouldn't mind doing it again today. Fingers crossed. Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

What a beautiful morning here. It's 54 going to 74.

It would be a great day to do some yard work, but alas I have to go get a boobogram and bone density done. Then it's off to our daughter's to watch her boys until she returns on Monday. She and her husband are going to CA for a celebration of life ceremony for her "west coast mom" who was so supportive to her after her husband died.

I'll stay at their their house to take the boys to school tomorrow and pick them up afterward. Then I'll bring them here so they can get together with our sons boys on Sat. and Monday. I just saw we're supposed to have rain for the weekend. Hmmm, what to do with them... Think we can handle going to the movies with 4 young boys?

Morning, all.

We did get a tad more rain yesterday, not nearly what we need, but we'll take it. Maybe rain over the weekend. Or not.

I have seen several things I could use it on.

Depending on what those are, something like this might be sufficient?

Not as high a pressure as most of the gas rigs, but... ?

Think we can handle going to the movies with 4 young boys?

Might depend on the movie, and whether or not you remember to take the zip ties ;)
