Normally I don't relish going for the mammogram, but the woman technician and I were laughing and having a good old time. First time that's happened. I wouldn't dread having to have it done if we could have a good time each time, I'll probably get a woman having a bad PMS day next time.
Might depend on the movie, and whether or not you remember to take the zip ties ;)
Zip ties! Why didn't I think of that. Might be easier than just taking the duct tape and they don't take up as much room in my purse.

Not as high a pressure as most of the gas rigs, but... ?
Omygosh. What a good price. That is exactly what I would have gotten for myself. I have loved every electric or battery tool I have bought. Ken said the gas ones were more powerful and since I am hoping he is going to be the one using it, I went with it.

Good morning. I wish I could say that I slept better but I did not. It is starting to get on my reserve nerve. I am going to do the push mowing today and get some stuff done around the house so maybe tonight I will be so tired, that slumber will be easier. Fingers crossed.

Yep, after checking around a little more, I wanted to return and get that pressure washer. It cranked and sounded fantastic. It is a gas-pressure washer. Today we are going to get a new hose for it and give it a try. Ken used to have one before that flood he went through so he knows how to use it and will show me. That is the best way for me to learn. I told him I have a whole list of stuff he can clean if he wants to. If not, you know this o'l girl will do it.

My aunt came down on her lawnmower to visit us yesterday. A good thing because I cleaned it off with my compressor and Ken said her tires looked a little low and put some air in them. She was thrilled to have someone helping her. I am so glad Ken is taking time with her too.

Thursday night is Bike Night at the bar on the other side of town. That is where I went last week and had such fun. They had pizza and wings for free so that is what we had for supper. There were not as many people there and they did not have a band like Ken said they usually do but it was still fun watching the bike games they play. Ken tried to get me to ride behind him while holding an egg on a spoon in my mouth. You go over a speed bump and the winner does not lose their egg. Ken takes train tracks and bumps really well and that bike is pretty smooth anyway so he said we could win but I wouldn't do it. Maybe one day I will join in but not today.

Ken said we were going to do yard work. I told him he did not have to do it because I didn't mind. He said he was not even going to respond to my comment. I guess that means he is planning to mow. Like I said, I just think men like driving big machines. Anyway, I am going to let him and be grateful for the help.

Fri-YAY everyone!!!! Have a great day.

Morning, loungers.

Sunny day, and we might break into the low 70s. Dang, we even had to fire up the furnace a bit, yesterday!

Yup, the gas rigs do generally have higher pressure. And probably a good idea to get the tools he's willing to use :)

Meet Me in St Louie Louie
Hola .. :(

The last week or so has been brutal .. the clonazepam and the Zoloft, for some odd reason, were just not helping the PTSD, etc, at all ..

Saw my shrink yesterday, talked it out .. no med adjustment yet

When you can't hardly pry yourself out of the bed, can't stand going out in pubic, can't get motivated .. it's hard .. fighting through it to just carry on is harder than just letting it take over ..

Slowly trying to bring myself back

Yesterday was a busy day. I don't remember if I posted or not. That's getting pretty bad.

My aunt and I went for a short walk and went up to a neighbor's house to say hello because she was sitting on the front porch. I have played with her dog for years and fed it animal crackers. I am not sure why but the dog jumped up and bit my aunt's arm. I have NEVER seen this dog act aggressive. It scared my aunt to death and also the woman we went to visit. I took her back to her house and tended to the wound. I went back today to change the bandage and it looks good. I see no infection but you know I will keep an eye on it. Bless her heart.

I told Ken to go riding his bike yesterday because I thought it was a good idea for us to have our own time. He had more fun than me because I just did a load of laundry.

He called and said there was going to be a band at this bar he knew about. Since my joints were predicting rain, I told him I would meet him there.

I showed him the storm that was coming and told him we should leave but he said he would be fine. He's a big boy so I stayed and enjoyed the band and talking to this woman who had breast cancer years ago. Anyway, when we got home, I was the dry one. It did not seem to bother him at all. He had said he was a little hungry earlier so I fixed him a big loaded baked potato. I figured that would be warming.

We went to eat at the Moose Lodge tonight. Have not been there in over a week. Their special tonight was Pizza casserole. I was not sure what to expect but it was really tasty. It was pizza-tasting sauce mixed in with penne pasta. Of course, it had cheese and pepperoni's on top. Finally, instead of stuffing myself, I brought half home. It will make a good lunch for Ken tomorrow.

Tonight was the first time I had seen Ken in anything other than t-shirts. He put on a black shirt with a collar and oh my, he looked nice. I think he tried to fix up because I had on my leopard print shirt, black leggings, and black half boots that were sparkly. I wish I had asked someone to take a picture of us. Looks like I would have taken a pic of him since I take so many pictures. Guess I wasn't thinking right.

With all the rain from the storm, I imagine tomorrow will be pretty low-key. I need to rest up because on Monday Ken needs to go to the DMV in TN to get his license renewed. He has to take his birth certificate to get the Real ID that is going to be required there in 2025. I am glad I already have mine. I had to take a bunch of paperwork. This will just be a quick trip and nowhere close to his family. He said we would go back there in a couple of weeks. Good thing I like going places.

Hope everyone has a relaxing Sunday. Guess I am going to go read for a while. I hope I get some sleep but I am feeling like a toss-and-turn night. I could be wrong. That happens occasionally.

Morning, loungers.

Finally, real rain! Almost 1/3" overnight (after all the maps showed us rained on all day, but not a drop!) Claim is more over the next few days, hope it hits the ground!!

Slowly trying to bring myself back

We're all here, Willie, if we can help in any way.

I went back today to change the bandage and it looks good. I see no infection but you know I will keep an eye on it. Bless her heart.

Not good! If not deep, and if cleaned out well, hopefully it stays clear.

Good morning!

Sunday we used the new pressure washer and it was terrific. Ken did the whole front of the house and the front steps sidewalk. I have never seen it that clean. I used it a little bit on the sidewalk. Then I squirted off the Honda. I learned you don't pressure wash the pin strip on a vehicle.
1laugh.gif

I just removed a tiny bit. Oops. But it did a fantastic job on the body and tires. I also had some heavy chairs that I would not sit in because they had mold growing all over them. They look brand new. Yay!

After working hard, Ken wanted to go to the Double D Saloon because they have live music so we jumped on the bike and went. Had a wonderful time. I had been there before but this is the first time I had ever played Cornhole. Ken couldn't hardly get me to quit. I found out that he can juggle too. He took 3 of the little Cornhole bags and was impressing everyone. I tried but quickly dropped one. I am not coordinated at all. He told me to get some tennis balls and try again. I might, although juggling has never been on my bucket list. Cornhole was so I got to check off another one. YAY!

Ken was actually born in North Carolina and he needed to get a certified copy of his birth certificate to get his real ID license. We took the bike. It was a little over 200 miles. He made a couple of stops thank goodness because I was sad to find out that my sciatica acted up on the bike too. I did not think it would since I am so comfortable. I am hoping it was just because we worked outside the day before. Who knows? Oh well, he has to stop for a cigarette, drink, or potty all the time and it works out well for me. I happily vape on the back.
1YES.gif

I keep letting him take a toot of mine. I would love it if he started vaping. He coughs every time and I keep telling him that will go away. I will not harp at him on smoking but I might a little bit about the cost of cigarettes. Sheesh! I am so grateful that I do not smoke. He spends more in one day than I do the whole year.

He wanted to go out to eat last night but I told him I'd rather go home and eat. He had a quick dinner. Salad, loaded baked potato, and a grilled cheese. I just ate a salad because I had half a hot dog and fries for lunch when he stopped at Snoopy's. heehee I would have eaten the whole thing but it was one of those red hotdogs and I prefer all beef.

Ken said we were just going to take it easy today. He said I was always doing something and I needed to learn to relax once in a while. We will see. I am going to try but he is right, I am always doing something.

Tomorrow we are going to head to Johnson City, TN. He is going to get his license renewed and that was the closest DMV. Maybe I should take it easy today and rest up for the trip with my leg. It is only 169 miles. I need to get used to it because we are going back to visit his family soon and that is around 400 miles. I'm a rambling rat!

Well, you are all caught up on my escapades. (sorry) I hope everyone has a wonderful day. I am going to R E L A X! Maybe. I have already done 1 load of wash and I have two more. heehee

Well, we survived 4 days with 2 grandsons and yesterday we had all 4! Whew! It's exhausting, but fun as well. The oldest is 8 yrs old and has taken the role of group general. At one point they were all running around with their toy guns and Miles suddenly stopped at their lunch table and shouted, "Report!! Someone didn't eat 1/2 their sandwich!" Guess you had to be there, but it cracked me up.

Yesterday the boys were down in the basement playing. Our treadmill is down there and they had it cranked up to 10 mph and were putting their matchbox cars on it so they'd zoom off the end. Poor 4 yr old Brody fell onto the treadmill and, of course, he zoomed right off it and slammed into the wall!! Poor little guy is going to have several more bruises to add to his collection. He actually put a little dent in the wall with his elbow. I covered all his spots with bandaids and after about an hour was back playing with the rest of the boys. Amazing how resilient little kids are.

Aww Willie, I'm so sorry you're feeling this way. Do you think the season change might have a little something to do with it? Would it help if I made you a Nutztorte?

@DavidOck I'd gladly send you some of our rain. Only a few short deluges, but it's been raining here the past 5 days. It's funny, but although I knew little kids would not like t-storms, it turns out that our little guy doesn't even like a gentle rain. He wouldn't even go out with me to our local Target to shop for a toy!

Was supposed to relax yesterday but that never seems to work out for me. Changed sheets, washed clothes, made tea, fixed tuna fish for lunch, fixed a pizza for supper, and walked 8 miles. Sheesh!

Wish I had not walked so much. It rained last night and I could not get comfy to sleep. Also got cooler which always makes it worse. Finally got to sleep and woke up from drainage choking me. I hate it when I get choked. It scares me. And Ken slept right through it. Oh well, this too shall pass!
Praying.gif

I am also grateful that there is no more rain predicted for this week.

As far as I know, we are still planning on going to Johnson City, TN today. Ken said since my leg was bothering me (and now my knee) that we were not going to take the bike. Drats. I wanted to. I told him I would be fine but it is probably the right decision.

Hope everyone has a great day! Hugs to all.
