The idea was to guess the letter. My Grandfather would ask me Hits or Cracks when he opened a new pack. If I got it right I could hit him in the shoulder.
Never heard of Hits or Cracks and both my parents smoked camels. No accounting for taste - my father drank Ballentine Beer.OK the Indian made me remember this one. Does anyone remember playing 'Hits or Cracks'?
Back when I was in grade school in the 50s, I would play “Hits or Cracks” with my Grandfather who smoked Camel cigarettes. At the time, Camel cigarette packs had either the letter H or C under the tax stamp. You'd peel back the tax stamp to see the letter, which supposedly identified the factory. It only worked for Camel packs.
