Good chilly morning everyone. 32 degrees now, going to 50 today.

Now that the leaves have fallen from the trees we can see how close the houses are behind our house. It's all downhill behind us. To give you an idea, it's steep enough so their roofs are aligned with our deck. So, we still feel like we're living up in the trees which tower over our house. We have so many windows along the back of the house I'm having a hard time deciding if and what curtains we should put up. I wish I had or a friend had some interior decorating skills. I'm woefully lacking!

Is anybody cooking for Thanksgiving? Our daughters husband is a pilot and needs to go to bed very early on T-day so he can fly early in the morning so we're eating at their house. He's going to smoke a turkey, Kate will make some sides and we're making the dressing, gravy, broccoli casserole and mashed potatoes. We'll probably all end up taking naps after we eat so we can get up and have round 2. Can't wait!

    Morning, all.

Claim is still that the rain will back off today, for a bit. Maybe :)

He's going to smoke a turkey,

Smoking is harmful, maybe try vaping it?

Maybe just something along these lines?

so you can still have the roof-top views, but they can't see in?

Well, we got back this morning around 2 and it was a lot less traffic driving at that time. Still had to make several stops to let me walk around because my leg was bothering me. He stopped every time he noticed I was moving around a lot. For some reason, it is the worst in the car. The motorcycle did not bother me nearly as bad. Go figure. I'm weird.

I do know one thing for sure. . . I am sick of fast foods and I have got to get back to eating the right way. I was afraid to get on the scales this morning. I maybe should give it some time so I don't have a coronary.

I did eat too much fast food but I also had some good things to eat too. The pizza at the Moose Lodge in TN was awesome. We stopped at a cafe that had a breakfast buffet that was all you could eat going through the line one time. Since it was late, the server told us to go back as many times as we could to help get rid of it. The best part was it was only $8. They told us to come back for the Catfish special that night but we never made it back there.

Only 3 or 4 loads of laundry and I will be caught up. Ken wanted me to go run errands with him (he needs his meds refilled) but I told him I was staying home and getting my stuff done. It's a good thing. We don't have to be together 24/7. At least I hope not.

Glad to be back! Ready to go again.

Boy you are a pushover for doing yard work for people! But I bet you felt good about doing it for her.
The biggest pushover you've ever seen. heehee But you are right, it makes me feel good. That is the whole reason I do it. Mrs. Rochelle is older and she takes care of her husband and can only leave him around 30 minutes at a time. Boy do I understand how that is. It is amazing how much this woman does take care of everything. It is a huge place and I don't see how she does it. Some neighbors help her out. I saw one mowing around her house one morning. It is a nice little friendly community.
    Is anybody cooking for Thanksgiving?
I was just thinking about that. I have no idea what or where we will be having Thanksgiving. It really does not matter to me as long as I am not the cook.

I just started having traditional Thanksgiving with family and stuff a couple of years ago down at my aunt's. Before that, me and dad usually grilled out steaks because we were not that crazy about turkey. As long as I have a pumpkin or sweet potato pie, it does not matter to me. I have so much to be grateful for that one day is not enough.

There was a girl at Ken's favorite bar who had this little 3-month-old dog named Gracie. She rides in a backpack on her bike. The little dog walked around with her goggles on for a good while before they left and the little dog looked so darn cute.

Good morning. It's a beautiful sunny day here, going up to 52.

I'd ordered curtains for 3 rooms, but we only got them up in our bedroom yesterday so today we'll work on the other 2 rooms. I guess the previous owner didn't have any curtains on the windows because there is no hardware on any of them except for the bedrooms that have the vertical blinds.

I have these and love them.

2 side windows in the living room have those shades and I like them a lot too. That Temu site keeps me busy for an hour if I'm not careful!!!

Good morning. Trying to go back to eating right appears to be quite a challenge for me. We went to a new restaurant that my cousin said was good and she was right. Country-style steak, rice, gravy, collards, mac&cheese and cornbread. Yum. In my defense, I brought some of it home so Ken will have lunch today. We shared the banana pudding I go to go.

It is cool in the mornings but still getting up to the high sixties. I like this weather. I need to go back to the gym. I have not even been getting my steps in lately.

Ken is a bad influence. heehee No, it is not him. I have just been lazy. It happens. I just need to do something before it gets any worse. I am not obsessive about weight but it can get away from you quickly. Been there, done that. Over and over and over again.

A Temu order is out for delivery. Ordered it on the 6th. It has taken a little longer but still not too bad. I don't mind waiting. The bad part is I already have a cart full. I need to stop looking at that site.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Good morning people. It's a bit chilly here at 48, going up to 57. Most of our leaves are down now so it's really looking like winter. Can't wait to have a snowy day so I can sit here and watch the snowflakes fall out of all these windows,

We're waiting for our contractor to arrive to finish up the work he started weeks ago, Meanwhile Mike and I are hanging curtains which turns out to be more complicated than we thought. Curtains sure make a difference in a room so I guess it's worth the trouble, but I don't have to like doing it.

I'm counting my blessings because I can't imagine living in Iceland waiting for a volcano to erupt! If you had to leave your home quickly, what would you take?

Good afternoon all. It has been a couple of beautiful days here. We have been riding the bike as much as possible because at some point it will be too cold for Ken to take me around. He nixed my idea of heated suits.
    Crying.gif

Finally got back out to the Moose Lodge and everyone was so glad to see me. Bunches of hugs. They had ribeye steaks last night which was good but nowhere close to Bonbon's steaks. They do have an amazing salad bar. They had forgotten my roll that was supposed to come with the dinner. Ken said it didn't matter to him but of course, I wanted my bread and asked them. They put the rolls in the oven and brought us fresh and hot ones and they were the best I had ever had. heehee Although Ken said it did not matter to him, he gobbled up the hot roll and talked about how good it was.

Enjoy your day. I think we are headed out again because it is sunny and warm.
