Morning, loungers.

Bands of rain continue, with the makings of a pineapple express looming...

t is the first leather coat I have ever owned.

Well, it's about time. All motorcycle mama's need leathers. :)

Now it's an outpatient procedure!

Hope all goes well for her! Yeah, medical advances :)

Morning, all.

A brief break from the rain, but due back later. Sadly, pineapple express still in the guess, with the snow line going up. Way up, So a lot of the little that's there won't make it through the weekend :( And, so, the usual places may be looking at more floods. (Not an issue for us.)

Made it to the gym again. Ken says he is getting jealous of Jim (play on words). He's goofy.

It was an unseasonably warm day. I think it was 72. We took a motorcycle ride but I had to take off my leather jacket because it was too warm. It was cloudy early in the day but the sun was hot when it came out. Did not stay long and got cloudy again. That is okay. The ride was nice.

It was bound to happen but Ken dropped my bike today. We were in a parking lot getting ready to look at motorhomes and he was turning around. It was a small hill but when 1100 lbs starts to go, there is not much you can do. Everyone I know has dropped theirs. Ken apologized and he felt so bad. I just made a joke about it was my fault because I had gained weight. He did not see the humor but the bike was not hurt too bad. A scuff on the saddlebag and my knee. Both were not too bad so I am not going to make a big deal out of it. Doo happens.

I have only been in a couple of campers and know very little about them. You would not believe how nice they are. I was impressed. Ken's camper is a 5th wheel. These were the big ones you drive. Ken, not me. I am just looking at them for fun (I think). Although they are nice and I could live in one. I would love to travel and see things but that is only a dream. I don't expect it to happen but then again, I never thought I'd make 6 trips to TN.

Hugs to all.

Good morning. 39 here going to 52 with clouds. Not bad.

Surgery went fine. She had to be there by 6:30 a.m. and it was all over and she was home by 11:00!! The pain meds make her loopy and extremely sleepy, but she slept well last night and looks pretty good this morning. Now we just have to keep the boys from launching themselves at her for hugs. They've actually been very good, but little kids do forget sometimes.

We're all glad it's over and she doesn't have to worry about it anymore. She's pretty tough. She's expecting to be back to work by Tues. Yeah, we'll see about that.

Morning, all.

More rain, about an inch so far (since this time yesterday). And too dang warm, not good for the snow pack...

Great news on the daughter, Janet! Yeah, Tuesday might be pushing it ;)

Guess she went to a better facility

It was a good day if you were a duck, which I am not. I made it to the gym anyway but was unable to do all the machines. At least I made the effort.

Took the last piece of meatloaf out of the freezer for supper and fixed a nice meal. I haven't made real smashed potatoes in a long time. I did that for Ken. I would have just fixed instant.

Watch a couple of movies tonight but I am ready for bed. Sweet dreams to all. Hope you have a wonderful Sunday. I am going to make sure it is a day of rest.

Morning, all.

Seems like we're in between bands, and, sadly, their guess of warm temps is too true. Overnight low was, uh, 55...

They do think that by the end of the week we'll be back to "normal" temps, i.e. lot to mid 40s for highs, not this low 60s nonsense. But too late for most of the snow pack below 8K'...

Hot one day. Cold the next. This is crazy weather.

And my joints do not appreciate all the quick shifts in temps.

It was kind of a low-key day around here. I did go to the gym and then to Aldi's. Ken said he would grill out some steaks. I could not believe the cost of ribeyes. Sheesh! But I did not even think about the cost when I was eating because it was so good and perfectly cooked. He did a good job considering he was grilling after dark. He did not want a salad so I just did baked potatoes. Apple strudel for dessert.

Seems like my days have been messed up pretty regularly lately. It did not feel like Sunday to me. That is probably another sign of my aging.

I am yawning and can't wait for this movie to be over with so I can go to bed. Sleep well everyone and have a great day.

Good morning all.

Well, our daughter is doing very well thank heavens. Unfortunately my sister is not. She is 11 years older than me and has been in an assisted living facility for the past year or so due to dementia. Yesterday they took her to the hospital and found that she had a serious brain bleed at the bade of her skull. Docs said there's not much they can do and it's probably going to happen again. They suggested she be moved to hospice care.

So, this morning I'm headed home to pack and Mike and I will be flying to South Carolina to be with my sister. I have no idea how long we'll be there, but we're taking our computers so should be able to keep in touch. Please keep us in your prayers.

I went to the gym 7 days straight but today, I am looking for some motivation. I can already feel there is rain soon. I have until 7 tonight to find it. I am disappointed that I have not lost any weight but that is okay, I feel more toned. Does not take long to lose muscle or get it back.

Monday again. They sure do come around quickly. Hope you all have a great day.

Morning, loungers.

Record breaking highs yesterday... not quite as warm today, so they claim. Maybe a dry day, though, with the next round due in about mid week.

So, this morning I'm headed home to pack and Mike and I will be flying to South Carolina to be with my sister.

It took half the day but I made it to the gym. Came out sweating in the cool air and I have been chilly ever since. The sun was out but I am feeling like it does when it rains. Must be some happening soon.

I have not fixed peanut butter cookies in a long time. Sort of counterproductive but they sure were good. Not as good as I used to get when I was in 3rd grade. They were huge cookies and I always bought lunch when they had them. Funny how I can still remember so long ago but can't remember what I did a couple of days ago.

Hope everyone has a restful night. Prayers and good thoughts still going to Janet and her family. Have a great Tuesday.
