Oh my, just do it!! Pick a date or you'll never retire. I never thought I'd even want to do it, but once I made the decision I mentally started to disengage. Whenever I've left jobs, even though I was told I was invaluable, they filled in the gap just fine. If you can financially do it go for it. Haven't met anyone yet who said they were sorry. We missed you and Janet, my condolences to the family.
I'm in a boring rut - too much work, achy knee, and aging kitty with health issues. I've been living vicariously through you guys and @Rat2chat2 (who by example keeps reminding me I need to get a life and get to the gym!).
Looking forward to spring. There's snow in our forecast is for 8-10" of heavy wet stuff on Tuesday. Yesterday was gorgeous, nearly 60 degrees, what a tease!
I'm looking to retire this year, but don't have a date set. I've been so busy I haven't been able to write up the requirements to replace me! There's a big difference between my job description when I was hired in 2006 and what I'm really doing. I'm a minority owner and want to ensure that the transition is good for the business too. Being responsible and in management is such a pain!
Best to all!
We've had plenty of cold temps and only 2 snows with just a few inches. That's enough. These warm teaser days remind us that Spring is not far away! 1 month and 5 days to go!!
