I had to buy another pair of tennis shoes yesterday. I need white ones that look nice to go out to eat in. I have been wanting some of the Sketcher's that slip-on but refused to pay that much. They were 40% off so what was a crazy rat supposed to do?

All jokes aside, it is getting pretty bad when someone does not want to bend over to put on their shoes. Now that is LAZY!

Oh? I've got a sock tool. It's like a plastic pipe cut lengthwise. You spread your sock over the pipe part, put your foot inside the half pipe, and pull on the two attached ropes. Presto! The sock is on your foot, and all you need to do is tug up the top of it. I only use it on my left foot, due to lost mobility. I got it at the hospital gift shop, if it sounds interesting.

Morning, all.

Only light rain atm, and that may be backing off. But the latest round of storms DID deliver a nice amount of new snow higher up. Hope we can keep it for a while, since the guess is the temp will be moving to the high 60s soon...

Well, we're "rural", and leave shoes at the door. Slip-ons do make it easier to get them on with one or two hands full of other items ;)

Dang, EVERYbody shops at Ikea!

Not everyone.

We have a big store about an hour from here in Charlotte and I have been told I should go. I am trying to attack my Temu addiction so I probably do not need another "good deal" place.

I think that is the place where someone said they had delicious meatballs and food.

Is there a video .. ?? Did Ron Popeil sell these in an info-mercial and I somehow missed it .. ??

HEY EVERYONE. Sort of glad to be back home and definitely glad to get back on the laptop. I missed it after we left his daughters and I missed everyone here.

We got back this morning at 2 am. I have never been away from home for over one week. We were in TN 21 days. It went by so fast.

We were in Dad's 1998 Chev Silverado (it now has 52,000 miles on it) and for the first time in my life, we broke down. We were going down the highway just 100 miles from home and suddenly the truck turned off and lost power. Ken got to the side of the road and looked under the hood but did not see anything out of the ordinary. It cranked back up. We went to the nearest gas station and turned it off to google some stuff and then it would not start again. We walked next door to Denny's (there are a lot of people who eat in the middle of the night)

We were trying to figure out the best solution and when we got back to the truck, it started fine so Ken said we would go down the road and if it did it again, we would have to go to plan B.

The truck did fine but it has the check engine light on now. That is something I have never seen either. We are going to take it next week somewhere to see if they can check the codes and help diagnose.

I have been saying I should get AAA since dad passed and I started going places. Of course, I procrastinated but I am thinking after this trip, it would be a good idea to get it.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday. I'm glad to be back. View attachment 1009411

AAA is really handy! I used it for more than 20yrs. They will help you with anything from locking your keys in the car to installing a new battery. They may even help change a flat tire...that you will have to check on but I bet they would. And they are pretty quick to respond.

As far as driving a car 100 miles and having it stop on you. Then restart after cooling off. Check the electronics. Check the distributor, coils and any modules that are part of the distributor system.

I had a brand new 1987 5.0 Mustang and they had a recall for a distributor module that after heating up, would cause the car to shut down. The car was so new that it was not part of the initial recall...and I paid through the nose to have the issue diagnosed at a dealership.

Glad that you are back!

VAPE ON!!!

Yep they do. At least they did when I was there years ago. This time I saw that they're still on the menu. And the meals are cheap!

Well, it does help keep the dust (or mud, depending) and debris out side

So you don't track in dirt etc. We don't do it in our house but we should. I'm always sweeping up the floor.

.. The answer to a rhetorical question is usually obvious and does not require an answer .. give me credit for not being a total idiot ..

I simply do not adhere to nor practice this habit ..

Well, should have used green text ;)

Yeah, sadly they are always on the ballot, and imo too many vote those instead of what might be in their best interests...

Glad that you are back!
Thank you so much. I love going anywhere. I think the truck is an easy fix. The crankshaft position sensor is what came up on the code at Advance when they checked it. I watched the YouTube and hopefully, it will be that easy.

I have never worn shoes in the house. Probably because I've never had many. I have quite the assortment now.

Ken's camper is not big enough.

That is what I have heard from several people. I will have to check it out. I am trying to get rid of furniture but I wouldn't mind eating cheap!

It was a gorgeous day here. 78 degrees is wonderful weather to take a ride. I tried to get Ken to ride down to the beach for a couple of nights. Yes, I know I just got home but I'm ready to go again.

We took my bagger today and my behind was most pleased. I cannot believe how comfy I am. We needed a couple things at the grocery store and I had plenty of room to bring them home. Supposed to rain tomorrow afternoon so it's a good thing we ventured out for two days.

Hope everyone has a great Friday!

Morning, all.

Sunny again, and said to be so for several days. Only about 57 for yesterday's high, said to be high 60s for the weekend and then some.

So, you might want to change your handle to Immelda? LOTS of shoes! :)

You are not the first to tell me that. I love the pair I bought the other day and I am thinking about going back and getting the black pair while they are 40% off. I am trying not to but they are so comfy and yes, I am lazy. It is nice just stepping into them.
