What a gorgeous day we had today. 83 with only 50% humidity. After Mike got the hooks put up in the laundry room we took a walk around The Ponds. There's 3 ponds and we've only seen one of them so today was the day to go exploring. There's a big algae bloom on the lakes, I guess from all the hot weather we've had. Makes it a mess pulling a fishing line through it.

I made some ground pork "burgers" for dinner. Pretty good, we'll definitely have them again.

After a nasty loosing streak for the Phillies it was nice to see them win tonight. Now it's time for bed. All that fresh air has me tuckered out.

I have been saying all week that I need to go home and get some stuff done there but yet, I haven't made it there. heehee

Every now and then I go shopping and remember why it is that I do not like shopping. I guess I have just gotten so used to shopping online that it just is not that fun, especially if you are by yourself. Although, I did go into my first Adam & Eve store. If the merchandise did not shock me enough, the prices did. OMgosh. Some of the stuff I could not even figure out and I was not about to ask. Did not matter because even if I knew what it was or what to do with it, there is no way I would spend that much money. Oh well, it was interesting and a good way to waste time while I was waiting for Perry to take lunch.

Perry went with his brother to look at a mower that his brother was wanting to buy. Poor Perry. He needs one too since he has not had time to fix his mower. He borrowed his neighbors this week and got his done and it needed it.

My aunt is down in Edisto, SC. That is where her sons lives and she went down there to help clean up his property from the hurricane. She wanted me to take her so bad but I just was not up for the six hour trip. It was during all the heavy rain we were getting and I don't think I would have made it that far. Oh well, I have talked with her and other than being a little bit sore, it has done her good to get out and be busy and spend time with her son. When he visits her it is just for 2 nights. She says she is not coming back until next week.

Hugs to all!

Morning, all.

Still nice temps here, still no rain, but rumors of that are growing. Maybe over the weekend. Or not.

Although, I did go into my first Adam & Eve store. If the merchandise did not shock me enough, the prices did.

Oh my, today's weather is messing up plans for a pool party for our grandson today. It's raining lightly now and only going up to 78 with showers this afternoon. Looks like the party may end up inside their house instead of the community pool.

Nice screen capture Willie.

Geez, the hummingbirds sure are busy at the feeders. Almost every time I look at least one of them is drinking up the nectar. They usually chase each other away, but there was just 2 males drinking, one at each feeder before a 3rd one came along to chase one away.

We've been running over to our son's house this week to take care of their 2 kittens while they're on vacation. It's amazing that we've noticed them growing in just this one week. Yesterday I dropped one of their metal dishes on the kitchen floor and both of them freaked out and came racing past me to hide in the basement. They looked like cartoon characters skidding along the floor. It was hilarious.

Morning, all.

They're still claiming rain later today and overnight, and even talking about it being wet. Go figure. Hope they got it right!

Yep, hard to get traction on some surfaces. And definitely fun to watch!

Oh geez … our minds crossed paths. Just the other night laying in bed before sleep took over, i was running through a mental check list of all the folks who used to frequent the ‘porches’ and are no longer around ECF to say nothing of those who have passed on. Both were a long list.

Lower than we can imagine...

He later added, “There is an endless pattern of Trump’s hideous degree of just spleen and hatred for them, because he thinks they are desperate to be in the military because of their socioeconomic circumstances. He thinks it’s like a welfare program that they should be ashamed of.”

So says Private Bone Spurs...

I know it was a joke when I said my lawn mower was possessed by my father because I was letting another man drive it but. . . this weekend, the new clutch literally blew up. This makes the 3rd time it has broken down. When from 2006-2024 with absolutely no issues. I know it is older but it only has 572 hours on it. Oh well, only one thing to do and that is to fix it, although goats are still an option. heehee

My cousin drove my aunt halfway to to her sons house because she wanted to help him clean up after a hurricane hit his property. Yes, the aunt who will be 92 in December. She worked her b u t t off. She was ready to come home and my cousin told her that her car had made a weird noise and she did not want to drive it on the highway. Out of 2 daughters, a grandson and a great granddaughter, guess who they asked to come and get her? Well at least her son brought her halfway so I only had to drive 160 miles to get her and I did not mind at all because she wanted to come home. She missed her cat and I can understand that. Needless to say, I am her favorite at the moment. heehee

One good thing, Perry talked me into driving his Lexus and I was amazed at how comfy it was and my Sciatica did not bother me near as bad as it does in my Honda CRV. It must get pretty good gas mileage also because I drove there and back on one tank of gas. The little gas light did come one as I was headed to Sam's to fill up and I was grateful that I made it.

Okey dokey, I am head back to my house (in the Lexus) and I am going to try to get some stuff done around there. I sure have not been at home much. Yay!

Hope everyone is having a great week.

Morning, all.

it happens,

Yup, why I asked :)

Most of the similar outfits here are, sadly, big operations. Some "agencies" hire them for big brush clearing operations. Not sure if any will rent out just one.
