Good morning all.

Burgers on the grill last night. Yum. Mine had red juice running out of it so I put it in the microwave for just a minute. Perry thought that was just crazy. I'm sorry, I have read too much about ecoli in hamburger. I like my steaks real pink in the middle but not my burgers. I could only eat half the backed potato and I made deviled eggs because we both like them. He could not eat the salad but I have been missing salads so I ate all of mine.

The weather has turned absolutely beautiful. The high humidity has gone and just warm sunny days are here and I hope they stay for a while. Like maybe 360 days. heehee Perry finished the project he has been working on so much. I think he said he had 69 hours on his paycheck. I am glad that part is over because he needs to relax a little.

The seller wanted me to return the clutch that was in fifty-eleven pieces even though I sent him a picture. I guess I can understand why. I was happy that it only cost $23 to send it back. It was $4.55 more because I requested someone sign for the box. I was not going to let him say that I could not get my refund because he never got it. I've always said I was smarter than I looked. heehee Oh well, the new part is supposed to be in next week. It hurt to the tune of $700 but I feel better and think that this will fix my problem. A lot to be said about replacing parts with the parts from the original manufacturer. Exmark does love their stuff.

Friday again. Whew! What another fast week for me. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

Good morning Fran.

We've got the boys here this week. Yesterday I took them to a toy store and later Pop Pop (Mike) took one of them fishing and he caught 2 little sunnies. He had fun and seemed excited about the whole thing. Today we're going to the movies to see Inside Out 2. Evidently they really enjoyed the first one, but we haven't seen it. Think I might want to take them out for dinner somewhere because this will be their last day with us before going home. They start school on Monday.

Fall is in the air. It was only in the 70s yesterday and in the 50s at night, I need to clean out the garden this weekend. It's a jungle out there even though I've been chopping away leaves and spent vines this week. There's a volunteer vine along the walk that might be a zucchini or at least some kind of melon. Can't wait to see what it turns out to be.

Time to get showered and dressed and then get the boys showered too. Getting them done is a bit like herding cats but we'll manage.

Morning, all.

Nice weather here, too, cool and damp :) And might stay that way for a while.

Yes, herding cats is probably easier! ;)

Good beautiful morning David. It's a sunny 71 going to 83 here today.

So our daughter and her boys arrived here last night and she and our son and his boys all went to a community fun night last night. There were bounce houses and water slides and a huge field to play tag in as well as a huge outdoor screen showing a movie. They had a blast and Mike and I stayed home in a perfectly quiet house. Whew!

Months ago we got our Costco rebate check and I've been waiting for them to have their sale on steaks. Surprise! Got a sale notice on steaks starting today! Guess where we're going! Our daughter is coming back tomorrow so Mike can take the boys fishing so it looks like we'll be having steaks for dinner. Haven't had a steak in probably a year so I'm looking forward to it.

    Morning, all.

Yep, still feels like October here. Temps about 15 below normal, still some light rain scattered around. And some heavier rain north, thankfully on some of the fires :)

That 87 by next weekend (if they guessed right!) will feel like spring, Will.

    Uh, nope.

    Woohoo! We eat meat!

Backstory: We went to a Costco we've never been to before. It's in a town about 1/2 hr drive from us named, Glen Mills. It's an upscale community outside the 'Main Line' (re; Monied!) area of Philly. While looking over the meat selection Janet overheard another woman say to her husband ... "Is the any good for us, or is it just good for stew". o_O

Seems we might be back to August, rain backing off and heading towards the low 80s for the weekend. As if their guess that far out has a chance of being right...

But the rain was sure a relief, and Mt. Rainier got some early snow!

    Uh nothing wrong with stew!!

Well, I cannot complain about our weather right now because it is gorgeous. Took the bike to the Blue Ridge Parkway yesterday. Short 200 mile ride but it was nice. I don't think I could have gone much further because, for the first time, I was not comfy on my bike. I think I am still having issues with my pulled hamstring. I know a woman who said it took forever to get over it. I sort of hate that though because we were thinking of taking it to Boston next month.

I borrowed Perry's heavy-duty trimmer and pole saw so I am headed outside to see what I can do today. Fingers crossed that I don't get hurt. heehee

The driveway/garage is full of cars, trucks, and motorcycles that need to be washed but I am not feeling it today. That is my least favorite thing to do. I love clean cars though.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Well, they do have drive through car washes, but probably best to not take the scoot through ;)

Good morning. Looks like we're back in the 90s all this week. We're just a couple degrees less than Willie, but don't know that that's going to make a difference. It's just going to be hot all week.

It's not good that the heat is back because our roofer is supposed to come today to start the roof. We thought we were waiting until the worst of the summer heat was gone - we guessed wrong. Oh well, can't do anything about it now. The shingles and dumpster are supposed to be delivered this morning along with our roofer, Hopefully they won't run into any problems and they can be done in 2-3 days. We've got water in the fridge, but think I'm going to run out and get some Gatorade or whatever electrolyte-type drinks for the men. Can't have anyone keeling over and falling off the roof.

That one is not on my bucket list.

I did an awful job of washing my truck and car yesterday but at least they look better. Those darn squirrels eating their hickory nuts in the tree. Those little pieces of shell left awful stains on the paint. By the time I got them all off of the hood, my shoulders were hurting so bad that I could not get the top of the truck. Not sure if a car wash would take them off but it might not hurt to try. I hate the truck not staying in the garage like it always has but I kicked it out and now have a car and 3 motorcycles in there. One of the mc's sits outside because there is no more room. I need less space in the house and more in the garage.

The friend of Perry's who was supposed to install the new clutch on the lawnmower did not call Perry back so he decided he would do it himself last night. I think we did a great job. It looks right to me but we will see because Perry said he was going to have to mow this morning to make sure. I think that is a good idea although, I am very confident in his work. It did not take me long to adjust to someone helping me with the yard work.

Well, they've adjusted the guess, now maybe 80 on Saturday, not 82. Maybe they'll keep adjusting it down :)

don't know that that's going to make a difference.

Yeah, at that point a couple degrees doesn't amount to much. Nice to stock some cold liquid for them, but don't give them any beer until they're done ;)
