And now that it's Wednesday, have you assembled those pieces? Into? ;)

Finished product coming soon ... I hope. The good news is they're actually rectangles. Opposite corners measure within a 1/16-1/8 inch or so. Not bad for lumber off the rack.

Sometimes, things are just a PITA .. couple nights of low 30's, high 20's and my new truck is nagging me that my tire pressure is low .. by a lousy 4 LBS in each tire .. and you can't turn off the durn warning ..

Yes, Mr/Ms RAM Truck, I know when it gets that cold, tire pressure goes down .. I've dealt with that over a freaking near lifetime .. I don't need you telling me, or at least, just tell me once and then shut up ..

Modern World .. phooey

Janet's CRV just pops up a warning that tire pressure is low. No indication which tire. My Pilot at least has a screen I can pull up when I get the low tire warning and it shows the pressure in each tire highlighting the 'low' tire(s).

Morning, all.

Maybe a little break in the rain, most of what's on tap seems to be north of us. Although those places are in line for several inches.

and you can't turn off the durn warning ..

Hopefully it's just visual, and not audible!

My Pilot at least has a screen I can pull up when I get the low tire warning and it shows the pressure in each tire highlighting the 'low' tire(s).

My Kia Niro puts the visual on the main dash, and also shows which tire and the monitored pressure. First time it popped up (last winter) I just laughed. Remembered an April (fools) issue of Popular Electronics many years back (yeah, they've been defunct for years...) where the writer put forth a mess of circuits that were fully functional but raised the "uh, why?" question. Had circuits to automatically turn on the wipers for rain, and, yes, a circuit to tell you which tire was low. (But, iirc, did NOT give the pressure ;) ) Now, a lot of that stuff is standard.

Years ago Mike was very involved with scouting with our son. They went camping together year round. Last night our son went on his first camping trip with his son who is a brand new Weeblo. Feels strange. Since our son travels so much I hope he gets to do this often.

Meanwhile, his younger brother (7 years old) is obsessed with fishing. Mike just got them 2 new rod set ups, just like his, but a little shorter. Today after lunch little brother is going to call Pop Pop after he has lunch and they're going to go fishing. He's so excited. He's got his tackle box all loaded and organized and now a new fishing rod. So cute.

At 5:00 we're going to the Trunk or Treat event at their elementary school. It's fun to see how some parents go all out to decorate their car trunks. The kids get dressed in the costumes. Mike and I are going to go dressed as Pop Pop and Nana.

Looks like we're having our Indian Summer now. It'll be 75 today and looks like it's going to hit 80 degrees Mon and Tues with plenty of sunshine. Then the cooler temps will arrive. Lovely Fall weather.

Remember not knowing .. ?? .. I do .. before the Modern time of Now when we research and look up everything ..

There was a certain mystery in that .. I remember finding my first living space when I got out of the Military, using, of all things, a newspaper classified ad .. no photos, no grand and glorious description, just something like 'One Bedroom Duplex for Rent, call 864-5789' ..

Yet, we did alright ..

Morning, all.

Between fronts atm, but more coming. Since we're about 5" short for the year, we'll take it. Maybe a good start to the rainy season...

Yeah-but ... did you have one of these as a kid. I surely did.

Well, being "David", that was sort of my theme song for about a year :)

Yet if I 'go to' youtube site, it shows I'm signed in. Don't get it.

Browser doesn't know that? As in the link in the browser?

I have returned to ECF. Y'all must be so excited.

I only spent a week traveling. Went from Merrill's Inlet, South Carolina all the way up to Pennsylvania. Had a wonderful time. I would have liked to have spent more time on the beach but the different states were fun. We took ferry boats all along the Outer Banks. One ferry ride was 2 hours and 40 minutes. I loved it and think maybe I will go on a cruise at some point. Of course, I ate way too much and gained but so what? I'll get back to eating right soon. It is Monday and I that is my start eating right day every week.

I have also been so busy this week that I never got a chance to get on ECF or Temu. I have not watched TV for two weeks and it has been a nice break. I have been busy dehydrating apples. I had no idea how many apples were in a bushel. I have enough dried apples to last a while now. I gave my aunt some and she stewed them and told me they were so good. I am going to take her the rest of the apples I have so she can cook them and freeze them. She said she needed something to do now that the grass is not growing much.

The new mandolin and apple corer did a wonderful job and made the task pretty quick. I leave the peeling on because I think that is where most of the nutriates are found. I have tried them both ways and I like the peeling. I am sure I will try making other stuff too but the apples are my fav.

Today is Perry's birthday. He is 66. I am taking him to the Carolina Theater Friday night to hear a man that he really likes. I had never heard of him but I watched YouTube and he is good. Perry was surprised and seemed happy so that makes me happy. I am sure we will have a wonderful time. He told me he would rent a limo to take us downtown and I told him he had lost his mind. It would be awesome for a very special occasion but this is not one of them. He will just have to find somewhere to park downtown. That's not my job. heehee

The man that I gave the MC to came this weekend to bring back Perry's trailer. He has started riding the bike and loves it. He is going to break it down this winter and get a new paint job. I don't blame him. It takes a special man to drive a pink MC.

It is good to be back but I am ready to go somewhere else. Missed you all and apologize for such a long post. I have just been doing so much lately. Hope everyone has a wonderful week.

What a gracious, wonderful gesture ... very nice of you.
I do stuff like that more for me than them. I honestly think it comes back to you. He is so grateful and excited.

Can't wait to see what you are making.

Morning, loungers.

Just the usual here, more rain (although tomorrow and Wednesday are said to be dry(ish)), temps will max out in the mid 50s. Some breezes yesterday took more leaves off the deciduous trees. Mulch :)

I have also been so busy this week that I never got a chance to get on ECF or Temu.

GASP!! They'll go out of business!!
