Happy Halloween everybody. My watch says it's 54 degrees outside, but it's still dark so can't tell how things look yet. Its going up to 80 today with no rain so it'll be a great night for the little kids.

There's only 4 houses around a very large cul de sac here and nobody decorates but me. We only have the 3 little neighbor kids come to the house so I've got little candy bags for them and then we'll go to our son's house about 5 minutes away. He lives on a busy street with lots of houses, some of which really go all out decorating, It's fun. It's only going down to 66 degrees tonight so it'll be a great night for trick or treating.

Too much stuff and probably moving back to WA state next year. I am tired of dragging it around and have enough for a few lifetimes. At my age, I need to downsize as I can't possibly use all this stuff. I don't plan to ever quit vaping but arthritis keeps me from using the heavier mods/tanks. I have narrowed down to my favorites and it is still a lot of stuff.

Thanks for asking. As she says in Matlock, "older people are invisible" so no one in my circle pays any attention to my vape stuff.
Isn't that the greatest show, btw? I just love Kathy Bates and she is excellent in that show.
I agree. We got rid of a lot of vape stuff when we moved here and still have a lot stashed away. I think we did have 1 mod go flakey on us so it was nice to have the back-ups. Pulling out 1-2 ones that we haven't used in ages is like getting a new mod.

Haven't watched Matlock, but agree that Kathy Bates is a wonderful actress.

Well, I have not been very busy this week. My knee started hurting Sunday and got worse as the week progressed. Finally, I called the doctor yesterday and they suggested the emergency after-hours clinic of an orthopedist.

She removed almost 2 tubes of fluid (which did help) but she suspects I have a meniscus tear. View attachment 1020657I wake up every time I move so I'm sleeping less than normal. I hope it feels better today. I go back in a week. The bad news is I have to wait 6 weeks for insurance to cover the MRI she wants to do. That makes no sense to me. Then again, a lot of things confuse me.

I am just going to take it easy. It has been a while since I did that. View attachment 1020658

Happy Halloween all!
So sorry to hear about your knee. Did you fall? Are they making you wait 6 weeks to make sure you really have a problem before they'll pay or are they just being stupid? I hope you can find some relief until it can be fixed.

or are they just being stupid?

Greedy. We don't have a health system, it's all insurance and they don't want to stiff the stock holders. People who need services reduce their profits.

We had a good time at our son's house for trick or treating. I think the town drops off their kids on his street. Never saw so many treaters! And I can't get over the parents taking candy too. i would have been embarrassed taking candy as an adult.

Looks like we had some rain during the night or this morning. Just enough to wet all the leaves. Our daughter and her boys are coming tomorrow and will stay the night. We were sure they were going to have fun playing in the piles of leaves, but I guess that's out now. Rolling around in wet leaves is yuckky.

As I posted on another thread:
New twist on Trick or Treating. My dd left to take the kiddo out and she just left the bucket of candy on the porch without asking me to give it out. I went to check the mail, bucket was empty and 3 youngsters were coming to the house. I apologized and said we ran out. The 3 girls came up and put some of their candy in the bucket. I told them they didn't need to do that and the oldest said, we want to and Happy Halloween. Guess there are some great kids left in the world.

That was a lovely throwback. I used to watch Bewitched a lot as a kid and even fantasized about being a witch like her. Then my mom would never have to yell at me to clean up my bedroom.

How sweet!! That's so heartwarming. Looks like those kids took the saying to heart: In a world where you can be anything, be Kind.

So, here we go again - change our clocks back 1 hour this weekend. Ugh! I just read that European countries changed theirs last weekend! What? Have we always been out of sync with them? All this messing with time seems nuts to me. Bah Humbug!
Cut off a piece of string and tie it on the other end. Now you've got a longer piece of string.
    Try it and see!

    Morning, loungers.

More rain in the guess, although the claim is just light, no more deluge for a while. Maybe some sun breaks tomorrow.

I'd bet a Nickle you didn't actually try it.

    Not recently ;)

I am so sick of the political campaign ads. Phillips (dem) wants to vote against food tax and the ban on abortion/ivf. Her opponent (rep) says she is on fb and is "too radical for Tennessee". hahaha

Not getting political, just find the ads annoying and laughable.

Trust me, I'd rather watch paint dry ..

All I can do to minimize is DVR as much as possible .. it's either that or check myself into rehab

Just a few days to go .. keep saying 'I can get thru this, I can get thru this ..'
