Count me in as one who would rather watch paint dry. Or grass grow. Or counting raindrops. Or watching clouds pass by. Or snow falling ( ooops sorry, it's too soon for that one in many places ).

I prefer blue paint. Can't stand red paint. And orange paint ( delete it from the planet, permanently!!! ).

For months now, I've been DVRing stuff too, or I watch things that don't have any commercials.

FWIW, during this "season" the "mute" button on my remote has seen far more use during baseball, football, basketball and soccer games. Whoever comes up with a USB plugin for TV's that auto-senses and auto-mutes TV commercials will be the next zillionare.

Can't forget the stupid smartphone texts from the "undesirables" either. Thank goodness for "STOP".

The never ending mailings this time around are just as irritating as the stupid TV ads.

LOL, I asked my mail lady if it was just me, or everyone, getting all the goofy Halloween "orange comb-over" mail. She big-time <<< sighed >>> and said, "it's everyone"...... and sighed again ( I gave her a hug ). I suggested she leave all "those" in the USPS van and she come and pick me up when her route is done - - - so we could go to the beach and burn "those" mailings. Or throw darts at the funny orange comb-over character. She laughed and said "great idea".

---> and naturally, none of my "fictional" post is political in nature <---
---> I would never do such a thing <---
---> :greengrin: <---

I will be happy when toothpaste commercials come back. And Bounty. And laundry detergent. Very happy!!!

Good afternoon. My knee is much, much better than it was. Now it is manageable. Maybe they were wrong about the tear and it will keep getting better. I have not been doing much though. Just in case. It still feels like there is something wrong with it but atleast I put dad's walker away. heehee

Last night we went to the Moose Lodge but we were too late to get the flounder for supper. Tonight they are having crusted tuna over wasabi. Sounds good so we are going back there again tonight. Perry won $72 on those machines but our luck will run out. His brother bought a scratch off yesterday and it won him $200. That's a good way to start the day.

We have been having some nice weather. Only 71 today. It would have been a good day to take a motorcycle ride.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Good you're making progress :)

Do you wear a knee brace? Might be a good idea if not, give it some extra support while healing?

Good chilly morning. Glad I'm not a bird. We hit freezing last night. I don't need a thermometer on mornings like this because the birds are all puffed up at the feeders.

Had the whole family here last night for dinner. Our daughter and her 2 boys staying over. She and I are going for a manicure at 10:00 this morning while our son and Mike watch all 4 boys. I'm so glad the 4 cousins look forward to playing together.

This morning our cat woke me up at 5:30. Can't blame her though, she doesn't know it's not 6:30. Wonder how long it's going to take to get her retrained to the new time. She thinks it's stupid too.

Morning, lizards.

No, no sun to bask in here, although the rain is lighter ;)

Yeah. Probably just a few days. Hopefully.

The Media's job one during National Election times is to drive everyone into a frenzy ..

The 'neck and neck Horserace' is the latest ..

Polls mean next to nothing, IMO ..

I don't struggle with who to vote for, nor do I listen to the pundits .. as an Independent Voter, it's my Heart and my Gut that makes up my mind ..

Regardless of the rhetoric, and many outright lies, the Country is thriving, and, the truth is, Illegal Immigration has been exploited by American Businesspeople for as far back as I can remember ..

I grew up and went to High School at a 90% Latino school .. I lived next door to these people, called them my friends and was accepted as part of the Familia in many cases .. I've got nothing bad to say about them, no more than I would say of any Ethnicity ..

Your Heart should tell you who to vote for .. those that truly want 'A More Perfect Union' ..

The Union will never be perfect, times change and we have to learn to roll with them .. we can't be tied to a mindset, instead, we just have to say 'What is best for America ..'

Listen to your Heart, let it pull you in the direction you feel .. and, if you have kids / grandkids, vote for how you want things to be for them .. most, if not all of us, are closer to the end than the beginning, so our choice now will be our Legacy later

I was a "service brat", and many of our family friends were Dad's from the service. All races, all good people. (Yes, I'm sure some were not, but those didn't become family friends.) Group picnics throughout every summer, and NObody cared what color anyone was, we were ALL connected with the ideas of doing right by the USA.

As is often said, when you're in that fox hole you don't care about your buddy's color (or religion, political lean or orientation!), only that they were comrades in arms and had your back, as you had theirs.

More need to learn that, imo.

Schools were a mixed bag as he got transferred here and there, and my brother and I learned early on to make friends with like minded other kids, and we got along with all kinds. Either that, or have no friends ;)

Morning, all.

Seems Mama N decided to give our late voters a break - no rain today. :) Ours went in the drop box a couple weeks back.

We all bleed red

Indeed. And we're ALL one race, the human race.

Helped Perry clean up at work most of the day yesterday. Decided to be lazy today. He went to work and I went to my friends house. Spent the whole day and enjoyed swinging on her porch and getting caught up.

I went to the Honda to leave and thought I'd check and make sure I locked the door. When I went back out to the car, there was a tiny Wren in there. The little guy wouldn't leave. I wouldn't not have minded if he had used the bathroom before he tried to travel with me. Pooped all over the inside. Guess he was scared. I'm just glad he wasn't hiding. I'm not sure what I would have done if he'd made his appearance known to me while I was driving. Probably would have been one more soiled spot! heehee

I am wearing the brace the doctor gave me and it seems to help. I still know there is something wrong with it but so much better. I just hope the fluid does not come back. I definitely will not mind having it drained off. It helped so much. Keep me in your good thoughts. I really prefer NOT to have surgery on it.

Well, it is still summertime weather around here. Shorts and I almost sweated. Went looking at freezers. Boy, are appliances high. I have my freezer filled up with bone broth and meats. I'll keep looking. I saw some on Marketplace that look pretty nice.

Hope everyone is having a great week. Happy Friday!

My sister had to have fluid drawn from a knee. The first attempt yielded the worst scream I've ever heard. A different doctor had to come in and complete the job. It went well, with not even a whimper.

Not trying to make you nervous, of course. Heh, heh.

No, I know you are not. I guess I was lucky because I did not think it was bad at all but I will admit, I have a high threshold for pain. If this knee keeps improving like it is doing so far, I hopefully will be able to cancel my next appointment. I told someone that and they said I should still get the MRI because if I do have a tear and I do not get it fixed, it could cause more problems with arthritis. I'm not sure about that but we will see.

Had a great time at the Moose last night even though I had the worst steak I have ever eaten. Ribeyes have a lot of fat but no matter where I cut on the one I had, it was fat and gristle. It did not help that they ran out of baked potatoes and served french fries and did not include bread. Now that should be a sin!

They had a live band that was decent and everyone had a good time. I am so glad that I joined the Moose. I have met some really nice people there.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Saturday!
