WOW! That was fantastic!

I hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving. Our daughter and I made the sides for dinner and we gathered at our nieces house for a fantastic meal. With us making the sides it wasn't a lot of work for anybody so I think we may duplicate this for our next gathering. It was so good to see this side of the family since we don't get to see them very often.

Mike found a small local performing arts theater that we went to and enjoyed it so much we got tickets for today to see Beauty and the Beast with our daughter and her family. I got 2nd row center seats. It will be the first time our 2 grandsons will see an actual stage play so it will be interesting to hear what they have to say about it.

Winter has definitely arrived in our neck of the woods. Temps were in the 20s last night and it's only going to 38 degrees today and the next 10 days will be similar. The water in the bird feeders is frozen solid and wouldn't melt at all yesterday. I gotta look into getting a heater for some water for them. It was sad to see them coming for a drink and not be able to get any. It'll be an early Christmas present for them. Gotta take care of our feathered friends.

Wild Birds Unlimited
I have one of these heated bird baths from Wild Birds Unlimited. I had one of their stands for it too. Since I've had the feral cats, I've just used the bird bath on a plastic box for cat water. I use one of their metal pans as an unheated water source in the stand now. The 20-inch holds about a gallon of water.

Well, the weather outside is frightful, but pictures from Bea are so delightful!
Love the colors!

It's only chilly here (below freezing) and no snow (thank goodness, I've seen the reports of lake effect snows and more). I'm not ready for winter, how many days until Spring?

Brrrrr! It's so cold! Take heart though, Spring is coming in 3 months and 2 weeks! Haven't had a fire in the fireplace yet, but maybe tonight is the night!

Going Christmas shopping ar a toy store today. We've got their wish lists. Just hope we don't have to take out a loan... Bigger kids, bigger gifts.

We got a letter from our favorite dentist that he is no longer accepting and of the Medicare Advantage Plans. I can hardly blame him when I look at the statements from Medicare and see that he gets paid a fraction of what he charges. That's not to say dental charges aren't high, but his payments are getting less and less. So it's a good time to check out other plans since I haven't looked for a few years. Ugh!

Saturday, the Weather Prognostication Conglomerate (WPC) predicted 'maybe an inch of snow, nothing to fret about' .. the reality was 5"

Temps down to the low 20's Saturday night .. since my garage is a warehouse more than an actual vehicle parking area, the truck was outside ..

So, yesterday, I cleaned the snow off completely, no sun in sight ..

Because, today, my body shop appointment for my afore mentioned 'fender bender' was at 7:30 AM .. and I'm driving a small clown car now that feels like a go-cart, my rear is inches from the road and after driving trucks for as long as I have, feels like it's practically not a car at all ..

Stressful, it's snowing again and I'm acclimating to this tiny (to me) vehicle .. I need a crane to get in and out .. especially out

Oh well, I guess I should be grateful to have a free loaner for the week ..

Good morning people. No snow here, but night temps are in the mid 20s and today the high will be a balmy 39.

Today will be tree decorating day. The trees are up, but not decorated yet. I picked up a 6 ft flocked tree on a super great sale last year. Looks like the perfect size for our house, Our other tree is a skinny pencil tree and it just looked tiny and pathetic as our main tree last year.

Our trip to our local toy store was disappointing. I came home with a puzzle for one of the boys, but the rest was either geared to little girls or very expensive Legos. So, I guess we'll be searching on Amazon.

Is this your first snow for this year? I bet it looks lovely. Our house came with a "2 car garage" that might fit my SUV if it wasn't for the snow blower and lawn tractor and woodworking stuff. So, both our cars are outside in the weather.

Getting out of vehicles close to the ground is challenging, maybe even funny at times. I have this mental picture of you rolling out of the car onto the ground. Hopefully you won't have to call a neighbor to help you get up!

It's not funny .. ;)

They need to equip these things with a 'monkey bar' mounted securely above the drivers side door, with which to grab onto in both getting in and out ..

Trucks I've owned have always had a plethora of grab handles, here and there ..

Some years back, when I was in SoCal for some tech work, I rented a Tesla .. did not really give a lot of thought to ground clearance, etc .. my, oh my, how flexibility can gradually erode .. I guess I should follow my DR's advice and start Yoga or Pilates .. or even Zumba .. (not)

There is that, and the possibility that if you do get stuck in the snow you can just pick the thing up and move it :)

With what little is left of my lower back, I'd end up in traction
